It's honestly a great café. They offer the right stuff, and the desserts are creative works of art. I'd say though that those are their crowning jewels....the desserts. I had coffee, and a breakfast dish, and was underwhelmed, especially when you consider the price (cheap outside of Prague, expensive in Prague). I get it, it caters to foreigners and is artisan in its nature, so each of those elements tend to raise the price. But I wasn't blown away by my meal or coffee. Come here for desserts and you won't be disappointed at all. Your eyes will light up with the choices and the beauty in each one. They do that really well and are a leader in Prague in pastries.

During my visit today, the service was subpar. I was laughed at by the employees for my attempt at pronouncing a word in Czech, a language I've been learning for less than a week. That was disappointing and honestly very hurtful. Also, four orders of pasta took quite a bit to come out, and the brownie my friend ordered almost didn't come out, the waitstaff had to be reminded. There were delicious looking pastries, cookies etc. but as backpacker travelers we couldn't afford everything.. It was great just to look at them. :) The location is not right in the centrum, it's about a 10min walk from the old town. If you come by foot by the Vltava river, you will see the Dancing building on your way! The café is in a street corner, so there is very much light coming from the big windows, lovely! They have made many improvements since changing to Ugo chain; they now have two cashiers, more seats and fewer but better salad options. For juices you pick them up at the counter when your drink is called out, and with many people waiting it is sometimes difficult to recognise what you ordered. For salads and soups you receive a number and the staff will bring your food to the table.
