    Real pure Apple Juice
    Sebastien L.

Just came back from there as I went brunching with my dad and definitely did enjoy the even tho very very crowded on a Sunday morning we even had to wait outside about 15-20 min before we even got a table and since it's starting to get pretty cold outside was a bit annoying . Food was delicious for 2 that there's absolutely nothing bad to say about it . I took the Ham and Goat cheese baguette which was delicious and their french fries were really Unic and special they didn't taste like any other fries I ate before and did loved it . Another reason I gave 3 stars is because as we were waiting people who had already reserved has priority which I mean is fair but still bit annoying . Service was pretty good and fast once we got seated . Also with that meal I got an apple juice to drink and been really surprised as they got 100% pure real apple juice and not that commercial one which gives a little bonus and extra in my heart . Definitely would definitely recommend this place and would return but never again on a Sunday during Lunch time . Also price wise for what you get in your plate prices are really reasonable.

This place is great! Just an overnight stay in Montreal and needed a good breakfast. We had no reservation but got seated right away. Love the food, waitress was so friendly and didn't have to wait long for food. Nice fresh fruit with the bacon and eggs and awesome crepe with Nutella and banana.

A large group of us came for brunch to the Bistro, and they happily accommodated us. I got the eggs benedict, and I'd give three stars for the presentation of the fruit alone. I think you get great value for your money - fruit, eggs benedict, and homefries - and the food is satiating, but not necessarily anything to write home about (except, ha ha, I'm writing a Yelp review). Our waitress was a little sassy, and that added to the experience, but it wasn't my favorite of all the places we visited in Montreal.

Wandering the streets of Montreal it is very easy to walk past this unassuming brasserie.... And, it would be a mistake. A garage door opens to spill out onto the sidewalk in better weather. And art for sale dots the walls. We ordered the Merguez Baguette served with salad and fries. The sandwich was smallish but very tasty. The Merguez was well spiced but not spicy. Huge salad and large portion of fries. The asparagus and goat cheese Benedict was perfectly prepared. The goat cheese added a gamey dimension to the creamy slightly lemony hollandaise. My wife commented that the fruit salad that was served with it was the best she ever had.. 11 different fruits were represented and the melon to quality fruit ratio was generous! I would recommend passing by the more famous brasseries in this block and give a try to this underdog!

We went here for brunch because I'm on a specific diet and so is my friend, and this place matched both our requirements. I can't say I'm keen to come back. The food is okay, although my chef friend pointed out that it looked like his apple (cut into a fancy shape) had been out for several hours as it was browning, and my smoked salmon stuffed avocado was quite brown as well. It takes a while to get avocado to brown so that's pretty worrying. Also they put way too many capers on my salad! Like a handful of the damn things! I had a side of fèves au lard, for $2, and I got... a tiny pot full of awful watery lukewarm beans. Not impressed with that! It costs less than $2 for a can of beans from the supermarket that are better than this, and that's a whole can! The service was spotty at best - the waitress at one point asked if we were ready to order, and when we said yes she wandered off to another table right behind us, walked off past us, and didn't come back for five minutes. Sorry, L'Evidence, but this was a pretty crappy brunch for a city that's supposed to be great for brunch.

What a wonderful breakfast place! The best café latte, served in soup bowls! And all the ingredients are super fresh, the bacon was a delight, and the egg dishes were generous and superb in taste, served with a medley of fruits, which could include mango, large blueberries, melon, citrus slices, kiwi, you name it! Great waitresses in both occasions, fully bilingual. This is the second trip to Montreal in which L'evidence has been our special Bistro where we fuel up for a great day in the city!

Mademoiselle eggs benedict! Potatoes and eggs were delicious. Hollandaise sauce was so-so.

3.5 stars to be more accurate Came in this morning at 10 with a friend since we were close by. The shop was empty save us and one other customer at the time (by the time we left, 2 more had come). I had the mademoiselle (sautéed vegetables + cheese) eggs benny. A very good deal, huge portions, but OK food. The hollandaise sauce was not the best that I've had-- it's a little runnier and lighter than most and I like mine creamy. Eggs were good. Potatoes were deliciously seasoned. Came with complimentary tea/coffee! The waitress was also very friendly.

Good eggs benedict and generous portions of fruits. If you're looking for a place to have brunch with friends, then this could be your option. If you're on a run, you can get your brunch to go. I did just that and enjoyed my eggs at home while watching a movie.

Great brunch place with tons of seating. They have outdoor seating as well as a smaller back room. The waitresses are super nice, and their menu is extensive. Basically eggs however you want. I had the eggs Benedict complete (with ham, Swiss and mushrooms). It was a TON of food, plus homefries on the side and a healthy portion of fruit. A great hangover cure, to be sure. Also had a nice glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. Perfect for getting you ready for a day of heavy drinking!

Went here for Sunday brunch. A solid brunch place the usual brunch offerings: eggs, crepes, pancakes, french toast, eggs Benedict, etc. The fruits are displayed in a very flattering way; i enjoyed the potatoes. The quality and taste are good, but not exceptional.

What a spectacular breakfast place. The food was amazing, presentation beautiful, and ambiance welcoming and cozy.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

While the restaurant is highly celebrated and located within a Michelin-recognized hotel building, it does not hold a Michelin star of its own. But it is extremely classy. We decided to do lunch instead of dinner and it was a little more our speed, but if very, very attentive waitstaff is not your thing and $200 for lunch I'd skip this spot. We went because it had reviews for amazing beef Wellington and my husband hadn't had any in decades. And we were on vacation so let's go! The food was beautifully plated and service was impeccable inside of an amazingly decorated dining room that looked like a library in a mansion. The meals themselves weren't obscenely expensive but add a glass a wine, bread (it was not included) and coffee and it put us close to $200. But it was a great experience and I had never had beef Wellington - it was melt in your mouth good. Might go again next time we come up from CT.

Food was just okay; foie gras was overly sauced. Service was the main issue. My cappuccino was mostly foam, and the replacement was still charged on the bill. The bar is first come, first served, so if you forget to book ahead, it's definitely worth trying your luck. You can still order anything from the full menu. The modern, upscale interior sets the tone for a fancy brunch experience that feels both elegant and welcoming. Foie gras for breakfast? Absolutely yes. They also have a full bar for anyone who wants something pretty to sip on while enjoying their meal. The servers were bilingual in French and English, and they were kind, attentive, and made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. My goal was to eat as much foe grais as I can on this trip so I ordered the Foie Gras Poached Eggs. OMG starting off with the bread that was on the bottom, it was so soft and fluffy. Literally melted in my mouth. The foie gras had a beautiful sear and was rich and silky, with a texture that honestly reminded me of ice cream. There was also a touch of sweetness in the sauce that cut through the richness in the best way. Every bite was perfectly balanced. I was super impressed and will absolutely try to visit again the next time I'm in Montreal.
