    Chimichurri Steak Sandwich
    Alex T.

Located just right outside of the arrivals, this location was one of more affordable locations in YYC. The steak sandwich I got was quite good but the fries that came with it were definitely not fresh/stale. The bistro burger also isn't bad either. Service is great - we were able to get seated and orders taken at 11:00pm. Appreciate that this location is open until midnight, as YYC is a smaller airport and a lot of the other food joints are closed. The seating space is decent, the lighting is great, and the chairs/tables are clean.

So we had an extensive layover till our next flight and we were advised by the friendly staffer @ Westjet to check this place out So we went and had lunch here .... The food was absolutely delish It's located in the arrivals at Calgary airport by the international arrivals....gates 13-14 I had the wings ....dozen in bold Bbq Very tasty My father in-law had the Alberta beef skewers Super good My wife and mother-in-law shared the chicken avocado club with fries They enjoyed it thoroughly Overall reasonably priced Good place to eat when waiting for your flight Definitely recommend

    Jasmine Rice Bowl (chicken)

Overall not a bad stop for a quick meal! Prices were fair considering it's an airport restaurant. The jasmine rice bowl was ok but the chimichurri steak sandwich was better. It took about 20-25 minutes for the food to come out but took a bit longer than expected to get our order entered (think they were short staffed). Service was friendly though and always apologetic about any delays.

Great place to stop for a beer right outside of customs at Calgary's airport! Plenty of seating available and the food was well prepared. Staff were very friendly and quick too. The restaurant was very clean and well attended to.

Bistro on the Bow is located right outside of international arrives at YYG. It has a decently priced menu (especially given airport prices in the US are ridiculous). I got the parmesan truffle fries and they were a HUGE portion for one. $1.99 for a side of mayo or ketchup was a little surprising. The service was a bit slow, but it appeared they were understaffed and absolutely slammed. I didn't have anywhere to be in a hurry so I enjoyed the food and people watched! Definitely recommend!

Had a nightmare layover of over six hours. This spot is a certified layover killer, premium drinks with some great food options. I started off drinking a old fashioned featuring the infamous Buffalo Trace bourbon but ended up finishing off two gin martinis made with Wild Life Distillery's Rundle Bar gin. As for food I decided on a simple but tasty prosciutto and arugula thin crust pizza. Has the pleasure of having knowledgeable and sweet Meghan waiting my table. As the longest tenured server/bartender she knows her stuff. The vibes are classy, you can easily pay at the table with your phone for a quick exit if needed. It was the first establishment I saw as I was exiting customs. As a weary traveller I was grateful I didn't have to walk far to find a great drink accompanied by stellar service.

I ate here prior to departing Calgary. The food was great but it was negated by the poor service and lack of COVID mask compliance. I guess the staff here are exempt from Calgary's mandate and basic human decency.

Mushroom and arugula pizza - hmm hmm cheesy good
    Candice F.

Conveniently located at the exit coming out of the International Terminal baggage claim and customs, Bistro on the Bow is a great option for hungry travelers desiring real food other than the typical airport food court type options. While service is not super speedy, the modern and casual atmosphere along with decent menu selections make this a worthy dining spot. We ordered the mushroom pizza topped with plentiful cheeses and arugula, sausage pizza, and a grilled cheese sandwich paired with a side bowl of tomatoes bisque soup. Ingredients were generous as the cheeses in all the dishes oozed in its oh-so-good melty ways. If we ever have the fortune of returning back to this lovely part of Canada, we will surely return for another meal here.

Great food, friendly staff, and fast service. It can get a little busy sometimes since it's located right inside the airport across from international arrivals but when I went it wasn't too busy. It's a little tight inside, tables are a little close to each other but they play great music and if you are a sports person they also have TV screens playing sports from golf, hockey, basketball, etc.

There's usually a great deal of variation between one visit and the next... even within one visit... That being said, when it's good its EXCELLENT and when it's bad its like "where am I and what is this place?". Let's call it the YYC lounge lottery for now.. Huge bonus points for the sophisticated and complete gluten free menu. I've been glutarded from a very young age and have often found myself sidelined to a salad bar while everyone else feasts on whatever delicious things they want.. This restaurant is a progressive one (in the dietary sense). Service is good. Sometimes. Other times its just awful. Again with the lottery. Luck is a fickle mistress. Now my pet peeve that is consistent across all my visits here (dozens and dozens of visits): This hotel has a large business traveler component. That includes me, and my associates. Every time I check into the Delta (with its itty bitty rooms), the last thing one wants to do is sit in your cramped room all night with your laptop and various electronic devices that are corporate necessities. Far more preferable would be to go down to the YYC lounge and have a few drinks and eat, and work on some tasks on your laptop/ipad/tablet/cell phone.. BUT, the management here seems to have completely overlooked the fact that these devices need electricity.. There isn't a single electric outlet to be found., So after a long flight, with your devices all discharged, you either have to sit right at the bar (often fully occupied), or sit and wait for a full charge in your room before you can come down and relax. This is HIGHLY inconvenient.. When I asked them why they mumbled something about "safety". Puleezee, wake up and smell the 2014.. Starbucks and coffee shops and Denny's and all sorts of restaurants world wide that are with the times often have many outlets available to customers.. So if you're going to lie, at least lie convincingly. I know it may seem like a simple thing, but when you're exhausted and just want to chillax in a lounge, the last thing you want to be worrying about constantly is how you're going to keep your devices charged (for whatever reason you're using them).. To sum it up, nothing I've mentioned here is a deal breaker. I will continue flying through YYC and stay at the Delta and drink at the YYC lounge at night.. I just want to say it like it is and point out that just like the aging and decaying YYC airport, this lounge could stand to get with the times as well. PS: Try the chicken wings, they rock

We visited twice during our vacation in Calgary and we loved the vibrant feel and tried several items on their expansive menu. Wide array of cocktails to choose from. My husband enjoyed Penicillin which is a mix of Johnnie Walker black, honey, ginger, lemon, lagavulin peated whiskey. My daughter savored her Brazilian Lemonade which is a mix of rum, whole lime, and sweetened condensed milk. I had a Virgin Mojito which was refreshing. Another time I tried another zero-proof drink. I believe it was called Hey Hibiscus. Delicious appetizers that we enjoyed were: *Creole Crab & Spinach Dip served with corn tortilla chips. *Chili Citrus Calamari is crispy fried, sprinkled with chilis, szechuan peppercorn, and served with a citrus dip. *Truffle Fries freshly fried seasoned with truffle, herbs, grana padano, and served with garlic aioli. The main entrees were shareable too and we were delighted with the Peppercorn Ribeye which is this 45 day aged 14oz CAB® ribeye in brandy peppercorn sauce and served with buttered mashed potatoes and green beans. The healthier choices did not disappoint either: *Avocado Kale Salad with Salmon was delicious with crispy chickpeas, grilled avocado, pickled red cabbage, fennel chili crumb, grana padano, and lemon garlic dressing. *Szechuan Lettuce Wraps was this generous portion of chicken (our choice) in sweet and spicy szechuan glaze, sprinkled with a good amount of peanuts, wontons, korean chili sauce, and spicy yogurt. *Tuna Temaki was new on the menu and described as ocean wise™ ahi, toasted sesame, cucumber, serrano pepper, nori, green onion. We all wish we had a Cactus Club Cafe in the US. Google says they have one in Miami. Come to the San Francisco Bay Area with your solid 5 quality food, service and your upbeat, energetic and welcoming vibe!

They were pretty quick with our orders and did not mind us catching up for longer than we probably should have while at a restaurant. That being said, the food just wasn't on par. Over our stay we tried multiple items (only got a picture of a couple of dishes though): Seafood pasta - great menu item, but bland Soup of the day - every night it was tomato bisque. We would have loved some variety Eggs, toast, potatoes and bacon (Double) - what else is there to say, pretty standard. Nothing special Oatmeal - Horribly bland and no accompaniments Buffalo Chicken Naan Bread - the chicken was fried which we didn't particularly care for and that too the oil tasted old giving that bitter taste. Had they used maybe the butter chicken instead, I think it would have been so much better Sweet Chili Cauliflower Bites - We actually enjoyed this one! No complaints Grilled Chicken Alfredo - bland and flavorless Tonic Butter Chicken with tofu sub - decent Primavera Frittata - bland It's like the chef is allergic to salt or something. Almost nothing was seasoned right. I will say, we were also not fans of how limited the breakfast options are for hotel guests and the fact that there wasn't anything that we could grab and go for mornings we had to leave early for a day trip. It felt like quite the disadvantage for paying guests. It would have at least been nice to have bagels and cream cheese if nothing else!
