This quaint little bistro is only a couple blocks from the busy Champs-Élysées, but you wouldn't know it from its off-the-beaten-path, laid-back, homely feel. The locals may just hate me if they find out I shared this place on yelp. But locals don't use yelp, so that shouldn't be a problem! Main dishes are €9, or €10.50 if you want a half baked potato and salad or rice on the side. Food is ok, 3 stars. But I gave an extra star for the service and the value. It's very difficult to find a dinner for this price in this area, and with nice service to boot! I had a couple dishes to-go; - calamari stuffed with rice, beef, pine nuts. - eggplant casserole-like dish (sorry, don't know exactly what it's called!) Both dishes were a bit too salty, a bit too oily. But this place is a sanctuary for the budget-conscious traveler, perhaps looking for local beats.

You like greek food? So here is a nice address to go to! I went there on a Friday lunch, the place does not look like a Greek restaurant but as soon as you entered, you are nicely welcome by friendly staff. Lots to choose from on the menu but as it was lunch time we went for the lunch menu for 17 euros. We had a starter and a main. The portion were huge. The food is fresh, I never tried a tarama so tasty! For the main I went for beef meet balls and rice and my friend went for the veggie option : aubergine filled with vegetable rice and potatoes bake. As I said huge portion and really tasty but we could not finish it all. So good thing to know, you can get a doggy bag! And we did :) The only down side was the bread. I was expecting to have some pita bread with my starter but it was only normal bread. I would go back again to try some more Greek food!

Stuffed eggplant, freshly cooked with LOVE!!

This might've just been the best food I have ever had the honor of eating. If you're in Paris you have to try this heavenly food.

When they asked if we wanted wine, we ordered one small glass and one small carafe. Neither of which came. A second server appeared and asked if we'd like to order, to which we responded. We had already ordered the wine. He laughed. He did bring us the wine. One glass each. I returned my glass for a small carafe. We still have no silverware, no salt and pepper, no water. When approached for our dinner order, we said we were splitting a Greek salad, and three appetizers. We were dissatisfied with the fact that the appetizer platter they offer of six appetizers, is of their choice. Not our choice of appetizers. Therefore, we ordered three of our own to share: tzatziki, fried zucchini, meatballs. Unfortunately, at our small table for two, they brought four dishes at the same time. There was not room enough for all four plates. They did not bring us our own small plate to put our individual portions on. We were forced to eat out of the serving dishes, Which came with no serving spoons. Moreover two times, not once, but two times, they brought us grape leaves. And we reiterated that we had ordered meatballs. I have no idea what the issue was with that. Until the waiter said the menu has a misprint. I was speaking English, meatballs do not sound like grape leaves. In any case, the fried zucchini was unpalatable. Was not thin strips, not delicately fried. They were balls of raw dough with zucchini thrown in. I could not eat them. The tzatziki was very good. The meatballs never came. After we were done with the salad, zucchini and tzatziki, they brought us four small meat patties (on the house). To be honest, they were hot and flavorful. Moreover, the feta cheese in the Greek salad was completely flavorless. Embarrassing. But I was no longer hungry. I must say the craziest thing of the evening was they had no pita bread. They ran out. What kind of Greek restaurant runs out of pita bread? They offered us baguette (it is France). However, it is not what we wanted. And they neglected to say when we ordered our appetizers that they had no pita bread. Eventually forks came, no small plates for our individual eating. They did bring us two small pieces of orange cake again on the house. Very sweet, slightly flavorful. Not interested. My friend and I were completely dissatisfied with the service, the quality of the food, the competency of the staff. We practically had to beg for forks, water, the correct item we ordered from the menu. The ambience is cute. We enjoyed each other's company. But this place was an utter and complete waste of time. We live very near Astoria in Queens, New York. And these people should be embarrassed to say that this is a Greek restaurant.

This place is HEAVEN…read more If I didn't have to count service, they'd get 5 stars. We were really hungry and so excited to find this establishment. Everything looked so amazing, we really had a hard time deciding what to get. Tomato, Onion, Cucumber & Feta Salad (Two Orders) Octopus Salad Vegetarian Stuffed Eggplant Spinach Puff Pastry Stuffed Squid My favorite was the octopus salad, feta cheese salad and vegetarian stuffed eggplant. Everything had really great fresh flavor. The stuffed squid was good, but had more rice filling than I prefer. The spinach puff pastry would be best served right out of the oven, but it had been sitting out for awhile. In addition to prepared foods and salads, they also have grocer items, olives, cheeses and a variety of nuts and bulk items. The prices are based on weight. Overall reasonable since the quality is good. The reason I wasn't pleased with the service is for the following reasons: 1. The employee was very cold immediately upon walking in. 2. Our non-French friend who is currently residing in France, married to a French native and has been learning the language for some time interpreted for us and did all the ordering. The employee was a little critical of how she pronounced things and it really irked me. Also, our friend called the spinach cheese puff pastry (which we are familiar with it being Spanakopita) and she corrected us in a very rude way. 3. The shop was not closed, nor was it going to be closed anytime soon. They have several tables in the back dining room. Nothing fancy, just basic tables and chairs. She wouldn't allow us to sit at the tables to eat our food. She said it was only for "lunch" and at this point it was a little past lunch. Like 2ish. We found this a little odd since no one was occupying the tables. So instead we had to walk around the neighborhood with our bags of food until we could find a bench or table to sit at. Also silly, because we ended up spending so much here. If, I am ever in the area again. I would love to be able to try their spicy octopus salad. I regretted not getting it this time around!

If you love Greek food, fabulous service, great drinks and inspired cooking then this is the place for you. I had a Greek spritz (my new fav drink!) to start with and we then ordered about 4 or 5 plates. Everything is to share. We had a feta dish, dolmas, a lamb dish and these little beignets that were out of this world. For dessert, we had an incredible baklava. Service was 20 stars. The guy helping us had perfect English. My French is pretty lacking and my husband's is worse. Not only did he make us feel welcome but he patiently translated the menu for us. He was friendly and well informed. The other servers were very nice as well! We have a bunch more reservations at different places over the next week but I'm seriously thinking of canceling 1 so we can come back to Etsi. Thank you to our server, the chef and staff for a truly fantastic dinner and memorable evening.
