    Matcha raspberry cookie
    Allison S.

I found bit bakery at the coffee and chocolate expo and saw that they have unique cookie flavors. I decided to try their raspberry matcha and cheese cookie, both so delicious! I loved them so much I followed their instagram and on their page you can find their schedule and where they're going to be next as well as when they do their pick up orders. I tried their cookies again at the winter clubhouse event in dc and this time I tried their banana bread cookie and of course I had to get the cheese cookie again! These are pricey cookies but I would say that it's worth it because you can't get these unique flavors anywhere else and the cookies are pretty big. The service is friendly and they let you sample a few flavors. Their set up is also very aesthetic and cute. I can't wait to see what event they go to next!

Bit Bakery was one of the vendors at the Asian Summer Festival this past weekend at Tysons Corner! They were giving samples of their earl grey cookies which was pretty tasty (strong tea and citrusy flavor) so I bought three other cookies to try (5.50 each -- a bit pricy, but I understand because they're a home bakery). The SSUK COOKIE is their mugwort based cookie with a generous marshmallow topping. It's bittersweet and the marshmallow helps to add sweetness, but I found it a bit dry. Overall, I still enjoyed it. I'm typically a fan of banana desserts, but found the BANANA MILK COOKIE a bit too strong and sweet. It's smooth and creamy and described, but it wasn't for me. Lastly, the OAT COOKIE had a ton of various ingredients including coconut, chocolate, oats, and even goji berry. I thought it was a good, standard cookie but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, glad I got to try. The people who ran the vendor were nice and offered great suggestions. Support local bakeries!

    Cheddar Cheese Cookie

I tried this bakery at Yelp Pumpkin Blvd event at Dock 5. As I was passing by the display I saw a cookie sample display. It was a sample of the banana milk cookie. It reminded me of banana pudding. What really caught my eye was the Cheddar Cheese cookie. I love cookies & interesting flavors. The cheddar cookie was savory and sweet. The initial bite was sweet and savory as you keep eating it you get a taste of the marshmallow fluff, then you taste the white chocolate chips, so it gets sweeter, then you taste the cheddar cheese Keebler sandwich cracker on top where it taste more savory. It was very good. It's not a typical salty element to something sweet. I feel this is a recipe that was perfected to get the right balance between sweet & savory. Well done! I would highly recommend this cookie

The white chocolate cheddar was unexpectedly delicious! I ran into this bakery as a stall at the Met Park farmers market and had to buy one. I don't know if I was sold on the marshmallow on it, but every other aspect was delicious: savory and sweet and a little bit salty, generous in size, a perfect soft texture even without reheating. They had a banana one to sample as well, and while I'm not a banana person I can say it was a good, strong flavor! I want to come back to try the ssuk now that I know the flavors and textures are so on point! I hope they come to DC soon.

They had savory and sweet pastries available. All of them looked so good so it was difficult to choose. We needed up getting the ham and cheese pastry- which was crispy, warm, and tasty! My friend got the crème brûlée cappuccino and I got the pistachio latte- both were really good and smooth! This was my favorite pistachio latte ever (just fyi- no coffee was in it). Would definitely come back and would love to try some other offerings; though, I would get all the things we ordered again. We asked for to go cups because we had to get on the road and there was a really sweet lady who gave us all the materials and hot cover with a smile.

The staff is incredibly friendly and willing to answer questions. They have a huge selection of cakes, pastries, cream puffs, breads, and even sandwiches. I very much enjoyed the matcha croissant squares which are super light and flaky. Any of their almond pastries are delicious! Be warned most of their pastries are pretty big so you should be prepared to share. I haven't tried their cakes yet but will be ordering from them for the next occasion. I wasn't too impressed with their version of the smoked salmon open sandwich because it was difficult to eat. Everything fell apart and/or would break down easily to make a balanced bite. I would imagine it's the same for all of the open sandwiches. Everyone should give this spot a chance if you passing through the chantilly area.

The service was…read moregreat--I asked if they could split two full-size Thai tea boba drinks in half for my little ones, and they happily did it with no hesitation. Even with four cups, they still filled mine generously, which I really appreciated. The disappointment came once we started drinking. It honestly tasted like milk with unsweetened boba. I don't mind if the boba isn't sweet as long as the drink has enough flavor, but in this case, the milk flavor was overpowering, and the tea was barely noticeable. We also ordered a bean pastry, which was surprisingly delicious! It was sweet, and if you didn't know it was made with beans, you probably wouldn't even notice. Overall, I'd be open to going back. I'm not sure if the overly milky flavor was a fluke from splitting the drinks or if that's just their usual recipe. The café itself is cute with cozy vibes. It's right off a main road (Route 29). Parking is available on the side and in the back, and there's a decent amount of seating. Just note they close at 9 PM, so if you're looking for a late-night café spot, this may not be the best option.
