Seriously the best cookies in the DMV area! We went to an Asian food festival and this is were we first discovered them and afterwards we were hooked! We ordered a whole batch and we have been keeping them in our freezer to eat for dessert after meals! My favorite is the pandan flavor! It has such a yummy coconut creamy filling in the middle. Also, the milk tea cookie seriously tastes like a milk tea. When I first read the flavor, I was not expecting it to tastes exactly like that because a lot of times, other desserts do not deliver. I love how the cookies are crunchy and crispy on the outside but gooey and chewy on the inside! We are almost at the end of our stock pile and we will be ordering more soon!

These are some high quality made to order cookies! A menu is released weekly through Instagram with 6 various flavors (usually in a theme especially during the holiday season) for two curbside pickup days and time slots. A ordering is simple through an invoice and payment is accepted through all major credit cards (with the option to tip too!). I've ordered a few times through the weekly menu and have purchased some to share with friends and everyone including myself have raved about how soft and flavorful they are! I also love how ingredients are also provided for each cookie. I've also ordered customized cookies for my drive thru/drop in baby shower as a favor and the owner graciously packed each cookie individually, added "Thank You" stickers to fit the theme of my shower as well as sticker ingredients in the back of the cookie as well! They were a hit and several of my guests expressed to me how much they enjoyed them. I'm definitely going to be continuing to order more from here and have also recommended Sweets by HoMade to all of my friends to fulfill their sweet tooth needs! ;)

I'd expect pasta to be cooked al adente, not taste like it came out of a Chef Boyardee can but meh, I don't need the carbs anyway. It was all about the mussels, scallops and shrimp for me. Short Rib Ragu: My buddy really enjoyed it and he was pleasantly surprised when there was visible chunks of meat instead of just a meat sauce. Fried Flounder (Special): Buddy said the artichoke sauce was the highlight. Piece of flounder was big but overcooked and dry. Oyster (not pictured): East coast oyster. They were good, nice and fresh but overpriced imo. Fennel Salad (not pictured): Got the vinaigrette on the side. Needed more fennel. Too sweet imo. Little less honey and little less sugar in the dressing America, . Oranges were the highlight. If I were to get it again, I'd ask for both the hot honey & vinaigrette on the side and ask for extra fresh cracked pepper to even out the sweetness of the dressings.

Service | Chicken & Waffles | Raspberry Latte…read more Service - The service was the weak point of the experience. Our waiter was friendly, helpful, and pleasant to interact with, but overall the service was slow and inattentive. I'm not sure if he was covering multiple sections, but we visited on a Friday morning when the restaurant appeared to be about 65-75% full, so it didn't seem overwhelmed. Chicken & Waffles - Overall, a tasty dish. The chicken was flavorful, and the waffle was well prepared. My main critique is the ratio. There was significantly more waffle than chicken--roughly a 5:8 ratio. Personally, I prefer a 1:1 chicken-to-waffle ratio so that every bite has the perfect balance. Good meal, but the portion balance could be improved. Raspberry Latte - The highlight of the visit. The raspberry flavor complemented the coffee perfectly without being overpowering. It was smooth, well-balanced, and something I would absolutely order again. Why Not Five Stars? - The slow service. We noticed several tables in our section experiencing the same issue. One outdoor table waited a long time for drinks and didn't receive their food until we were halfway through our meal, despite arriving before us. Pro Tip: There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant, which makes visiting easy. After your meal, take some time to walk around the town. It's charming, pedestrian-friendly, and worth exploring.

I had been told what a great spot this was for breakfast and lunch by so many people, so when a friend invited me, I couldn't wait to try it out. Since then, I've organized a few brunches with friends, and we have never been disappointed. The menu is absolutely HUGE, both for food options and beverages. Whether you are looking for a savory crepe with coffee or avocado toast with a mimosa bucket, you can get it all here. I could probably dine here every morning for a year and get something different every time! There's plenty of seating inside and outside the restaurant, and dogs are welcome for outdoor seating. (When my friend brought a frenchie she was petsitting, several employees asked if we needed water or other items for her!) There are also umbrellas for the outdoor tables for sunny mornings. I've received great recommendations from my servers, and they are knowledgeable about their extensive menu. Even when we've had complicated orders, everything has always been perfect, and I've enjoyed my experience every time. I look forward to many delicious visits to Clifton Cafe in the future!

We went with the daily specials: Cookie Monster, Funfetti, FlufferNutter, and Cow Tripping. With tax, it was $8.25. Pricing is quite good compared to other ice cream establishments. Line was pretty long but we got our ice cream after 25 minutes of standing in line--it took 5 minutes once our order was placed to get our order. Nice staff and there is a bathroom onsite but you have to ask so they can let you in. Cookie Monster: Definitely get if you love a good amount of cookie in your ice cream. Such a fun blue color! Funfetti: The birthday cake flavor isn't too strong but it came with a reasonable amount of sprinkles. FlufferNutter: The peanut butter was more apparent in their chunks than the ice cream itself. It was quite nutty overall, but not too in your face. Cow Tripping: I was hoping it would be my favorite since it is chocolate with Reese's pieces, but it didn't have much Reese's. Good chocolate ice cream though.

It's extremely quirky and eclectic, almost like wandering through an old-timey, whimsical field of curiosities. Every corner has something unexpected, and that's part of the charm. There's plenty of seating, but it does get busy, especially during peak hours. There's an attached parking lot, which makes stopping by super convenient. This cafe is located in Vienna, and there's plenty of free slanted parking in front as well as parking in the complex next to and across if you're willing to walk. I've been to this location when it first opened years ago and they've really upped their menu and decorations inside since. The ambiance inside is beautiful, ideal for anyone looking for a good Instagram picture. There's so many angles and details so that no matter where you're sitting, there's a good vibe. There's also gorgeous seating outside since it can get crowded. For food, you order from the front and they'll call you when the food is ready. We ordered the dubai gelato and pistachio lokmas. Both were presented tastefully to make sure our eyes and cameras wanted to eat before our stomachs. The dubai gelato was a quality dessert with a good ratio of milk: cream. The pistachio flavor was evident on top, but it was just a kinda tart vanilla ice cream with toppings. I did like it, however, and it paired well with the lokmas. The lokmas were fried to perfection, a nice amount of chewy, and covered with a good ratio of pistachio cream. They were a decent size and conducive to sharing. The prices of everything, overall, was pretty expensive, but the quality definitely made up for it. I'd recommend this cafe to someone looking for a unique sweet treat, catching up with a group of girl friends of 2-4 people, or for a first date!
