There is this manhole on the fence that allows people to go into the school, so that's pretty cool. The lights near the benches never close, so we could just you know order some pizza or some shit and eat over there when its too dark or your friends are too fat to walk. They have cool automatic lights on the grass that turn on when you don't need em and when you actually do need em they turn off, so that's pretty cool. Uhh its a pretty big place so if you wanna play hide 'n go seek then you could get lost in this joint. But that's why its fun, cause when you can't find someone you just quit and sit at the benches so they could hide for dayz. There's also market carts that you can take inside the school and push your friends with. This place is so chill that one day we all assembled here to play basketball and ended up playing charades and no basketball at all, so the ball boy had to walk back home and never came back again. Overall, you could do anything you want here during the weekends so thats pretty cool. Just don't come around the bench area cause thats like our home turf so, if you don't wanna get blasted, you know what to do.

I as the one who picked them up, was usually greeted with, "this was the worse day ever!" Some parents were friendly, however most were not. When we arrived at San Gabriel, I was surprised to be greeted by some very friendly people who I acknowledge as great friends now! That was the same welcome my grandchildren received from not only the students, but all the staff as well! Dr. Barillas has been so friendly and is always there when needed! She always makes it a point to come up and strike up a lil conversation with me when she sees me. I like that! At Other schools the principal hides. I don't understand why there is so much negativity. I feel we all should look for the positive and make this school shine! The education my kids are receiving is great! We were looking forward to joining Ms Rubio's Pre-K class this past year, but due to LA County's Safer at Home mandate, their preschool was not able to open for in-person learning for Fall 2020. I was chosen with several other students to be on T.V. for a educational show. Ms. Adam was my teacher for this event. I remember the day JFK was killed by his limo driver was pretty surreal. Teachers were crying and we went home early. I also remember the smog was so horrific during the warmer time of year that we'd also be sent home early. It must be the parents to make a decision whether or not to pick up their kids when incident occurs; because clearly the health assistance staff cannot assess !!!

In addition, I must admit that, after tutoring for 50 years, I expected to find the academic level here on the low side, but instead the school is quite demanding. I love classical music and I regularly attend to concerts and plays. I sincerely felt like I was in front of professional musicians. The band , the choir , the orchestra and jazz band were all so amazing! I could definitely see those children playing in the future at venues like Disney hall , zipper concert Hall and the Hollywood bowl. They all behaved like pros and gave their best. My only observation is : the parents need to be educated on how to behave during the performance. They whistled so loud and one had her phone on right behind me. I think a memo or an email to the parents should go out before each performance reminding the parents what the protocol is during a concert. Is not an sport event where you scream and whistle. They really ruin it and set a bad example. It was well attended by parents and that is wonderful. More civility is needed.

My son is autistic and all this school caused was Trauma from isolating him in the class room to not believing him when he was being bullied. Instead blamed my son for everything instead of taking accountability. The staff was rude and unprofessional with me trying to deny me or my parent rights. The Principal Ms Wilson has claimed to be an educator for over 20 years but has treated my son so poorly. She is very wishy washy and only stands up for her teachers even if they are in the wrong. The teacher posted my son in his seat isolated from the other students. I'm am so happy that my son is no longer at this school and is now at Washington.
