A few friends and I were visiting town for a race and went out for lunch and local drinks! The food was very good, the gyro and fries was probably my favorite. The artichoke dip was yummy, however it could of had a little more spinach/artichoke vs cream cheese. The draft beers were very good. I believe we came upon shift change, so it took a few minutes longer than normal to receive our beer and the server switchover to be made. In short, the service was excellent but the food and beer were meh especially given that this is a brewery. I had a clue of things when we arrived and the closed sign was still showing in the window but they were clearly open. At the host station, I asked the host if they wanted me to turn their sign around in the window; which they allowed me to do. When the experience starts with the server having to tell you what is NOT available from the beer menu, it isn't a good sign. If that's the case, then change the menu or don't have a printed one at all. Next, the server had to tell me what each beer type was because many had non-descriptive, cute names. A second line on the menu describing the beer's style, alcohol, and IBU would be great. I ordered the wheat beer. It was OK. The beer was trying to be a hefeweizen but was too heavy on the banana flavor which so many places in the USA seem to do to their hefe-clone beers. Not sure why. I got water after the beer. The fries were outstanding. Best thing on the table. I ate everyone's leftover fries from their plates. Most of the burgers on the menu here have some amount of stuff stacked on them. Which is great if you order that. But, if you order a plain ol' burger or cheeseburger, the patty is annoyingly small (see pics attached). Friendly service, good food, and decent beer. I got the hamburger which looked small on the bun but had lots of fresh toppings. I was very happy with it. The other three in my party got a cheeseburger, a Mac n cheese burger, and a mushroom and swiss burger. Everyone enjoyed their burger but the owner of the Mac n cheese raved about his. Stopped in town to fill up on gas and since it was dinner time, had to check out this place in their historic downtown area. Just as cute of an old downtown area as you could imagine. They have a rather large dining/drinking area inside but a small outdoor area; 4 tables. I chose to sit outside as the sun was setting with a nice breeze. Decided on a blackened salmon salad, as I've been depriving myself of greens lately. Also settled on a pint of their Coal Porter, which is sort of significant, as the town has some history with coal mining. No complaints on the salmon salad. And the Coal Porter was quite good; chocolaty and thick like a stout. Best part was my server, Gentry, who was attentive without hovering. The two hour way for this meal was beyond not worth it. They gave my 5 year old a jalapeño corn dog. Why is the hell do you have jalapeño corn dogs on a kids menu?! The mild wings were not mild. The steak was absolutely bland and zero flavor. The only thing that was good was the beer and they only had 4 to choose from. Our waiter was friendly and nice and tried his best. But he was too busy and wasn't attentive. He couldn't tell us anything about the menu. Super disappointed for how expensive it was. Driving through on I-80 someone in the car craved chicken wings. YELP snagged this option. Just a little off the main strip brings you here. About 530 on a Friday evening. Walked right in, greeted and sat immediately. Well we chose to stand at one of the high top tables. Jessica was our server. She was quick with gracefully naming the best of the beers to offer. Hubby chose the wheat. He enjoyed it and I had a couple sips too. While we waited on food we picked one of the many games sitting out to pass the time. We like playing these and I loved that they had a game called Cards against humanity and never have I ever..so funny Our order: (ordered to all come together) Jalapeno poppers: comes with Ranch (a little thin) hot, fresh, and crunchy batter. Wings (6) mild wings, comes with ranch. Crispy fried wings and a helping of celery. ::::: hubby wishes they would of had an option to have them as a meal and get 10. ::::::: Now my salmon salad. I compared the salad to the meal... The salad looked a better option for me. I was right. The blacked salmon came on a huge bed of lettuce blend. Also included egg, tomato, cucumber, onion and asparagus! I ate the salmon first off the top of the salad. I thought it was very flavorful with a kick of pepper. Cooked perfectly. Then worked on the salad with the recommended raspberry dressing. Really good. I was already almost full from the salmon but worked on it a bit. Jessica was super attentive and took great care of us. We stopped at Bitter Creek Brewing on our way from Denver to Park City and had a very pleasant experience. Despite serving their own food (which sounded very good), they allowed us to sit at the bar and eat our sandwiches from the deli across the street. Libby was a delight and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and take care of. She is knowledgeable about the brewery and the beer and was patient when we didn't quite know what we wanted. She even gave us some local history on the town and brewery. If we are ever in town again, we will definitely be staying for food and a few beers! read more

Nice Main Street brewery to stop on your way through. In the little town of Rock Springs there is not much to do! But this brewery provides a nice waterhole to pass the time. Fairly empty for 3 pm on a weekday which allows for a quiet hang out spot. Great playlist of 90 hits and waitresses are very helpful with selection. Tried the Scottish ale, lager and IPA which were all tasty but not the best beer on the block. The cauliflower was also good but a little too much sauce on top. I'm struggling with my review of this restaurant because I'm not sure what to say. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the restaurant or the beer or the food. Everything was clean and all of the staff was perfectly nice. But nothing amazing stands out about this restaurant either, so that's where I'm stuck. The tables are super close together and made me kind of feel like I was at a Denny's. The food was good, but not outstanding (which is my requirement for a five star review). We had a perfectly nice and ordinary meal, in a perfectly nice and ordinary restaurant. Would I discourage someone from eating here? Absolutely not. Would I go out of my way to recommend this place? Probably not. It's a nice place to land if you're looking for an easy meal and a beer, but if you're a foodie, I wouldn't go out of your way to find this place either. read more

Pros: We had the Tso Cauliflower appetizer, and it was pretty good, with large, nicely crisped florets, though a bit too much sauce. Sides of salad and fries are generous - filled 2/3 of the plate. Sourdough steak sandwich was tasty, though wish it had more steak and onions. Our server was very attentive. Cons: Burger ordered medium rare was a thin, very well-done hockey puck - inedible. Hello! A delicious meal in interesting surroundings. That's what I always look for when traveling. Charming downtown and this place is a find! The salad was okay. I assumed that "balsamic" dressing might be a vinaigrette. Nope. Just vinegar. Oh well. Veggies were fresh. But next time, skip the salad and go straight for the house made fries! I saw another diner receive a steaming plate of potato goodness and had to have some. They did not disappoint. Salmon was cooked perfectly and it is a large portion (which I happily saved for breakfast!). So glad I skipped the chain restaurants by the interstate and ventured into downtown. Recently, my older brother and I went on a road trip! We were driving by and just really needed a place to stop in and chill and get some food! I chose this place and it did not disappoint. First, everyone was SO nice!! We all laughed and chatted and we did not feel awkward once. Unfortunately I didn't get to enjoy the beer since I had to drive, but my brother did. Bartenders were friendly when they attended to us but were off somewhere else when we wanted refills on the drinks. That seemed to happen a lot to others, as well. Absolute terrible food. Very poor service. The beer is good. If you can get it. Waited 15 minutes to be seated in a basically empty restaurant. Didn't take our orders for another 20 minutes after that. Took me 45 minutes to get a drink and over an hour for food total. When the food got there the pizza was burnt and terrible. Staff had no remorse about serving garbage. Paid full price for all the drinks and still had to go find dinner with my children at 7:30 at night after that. Ruined our night out. We tried the brewery again and results were a little better. The beers were good and the food was okay. I tried the steak sandwich this trip and it was better than my last experience but not a "wow" type of sandwich. The place is slow on service. Build in some extra dining time if you are eating here. It's not an uncomfortable slow where you're dying to leave but the wait between things like seated to drinks, drinks to apps, apps to dinner takes longer than it should and there can be some awkward table sitting. We were on an epic road trip that took us through Rock Springs for the evening, and were lucky to come across this place--what a gem! They were super slammed (which was so great to see in these times) and were lucky enough to squeak in before having to have a long wait to be seated so the kitchen could catch up. Despite the kitchen and staff being unexpectedly slammed, we had the GREATEST customer service, experience, brews and food.
