Kids grilled cheese sandwich is good!

Not sure exactly how to rate this, we had lunch here and the service was great, the waitress recommended me the Scottish ale and honestly it is likely the best beer i have ever tasted! However the food is pisspoor, we had several different dishes and if was overpriced and underwhelming, badly plated and just not good enough. Yet for the beer and service i would go back, How would you rate that?

Both food items we ordered were excellent. The pork and potato soup had a fantastic broth. The steak salad had perfectly cooked steak and their house bleu cheese dressing was on point. The beers were very solid too!

Stopped in town to fill up on gas and since it was dinner time, had to check out this place in their historic downtown area. Just as cute of an old downtown area as you could imagine. They have a rather large dining/drinking area inside but a small outdoor area; 4 tables. I chose to sit outside as the sun was setting with a nice breeze. Decided on a blackened salmon salad, as I've been depriving myself of greens lately. Also settled on a pint of their Coal Porter, which is sort of significant, as the town has some history with coal mining. No complaints on the salmon salad. And the Coal Porter was quite good; chocolaty and thick like a stout. Best part was my server, Gentry, who was attentive without hovering. Not sure when I'll be in this area again, but I would stop here again.

The two hour way for this meal was beyond not worth it. They gave my 5 year old a jalapeño corn dog. Why is the hell do you have jalapeño corn dogs on a kids menu?! The mild wings were not mild. The steak was absolutely bland and zero flavor. The only thing that was good was the beer and they only had 4 to choose from. Our waiter was friendly and nice and tried his best. But he was too busy and wasn't attentive. He couldn't tell us anything about the menu. Super disappointed for how expensive it was. It looked great and they've been featured in a lot but severely fell short.

Driving through on I-80 someone in the car craved chicken wings. YELP snagged this option. Just a little off the main strip brings you here. About 530 on a Friday evening. Walked right in, greeted and sat immediately. Well we chose to stand at one of the high top tables. Jessica was our server. She was quick with gracefully naming the best of the beers to offer. Hubby chose the wheat. He enjoyed it and I had a couple sips too. While we waited on food we picked one of the many games sitting out to pass the time. We like playing these and I loved that they had a game called Cards against humanity and never have I ever..so funny Our order: (ordered to all come together) Jalapeno poppers: comes with Ranch (a little thin) hot, fresh, and crunchy batter. Wings (6) mild wings, comes with ranch. Crispy fried wings and a helping of celery. ::::: hubby wishes they would of had an option to have them as a meal and get 10. ::::::: Now my salmon salad. I compared the salad to the meal... The salad looked a better option for me. I was right. The blacked salmon came on a huge bed of lettuce blend. Also included egg, tomato, cucumber, onion and asparagus! I ate the salmon first off the top of the salad. I thought it was very flavorful with a kick of pepper. Cooked perfectly. Then worked on the salad with the recommended raspberry dressing. Really good. I was already almost full from the salmon but worked on it a bit. Jessica was super attentive and took great care of us. The building interior was cool. Brewery with clean sharp decorations. Fun signs all over the walls. Glad we stopped. Clean bathrooms, kind staff, good food. I would be back if we traveled through again.

We stopped at Bitter Creek Brewing on our way from Denver to Park City and had a very pleasant experience. Despite serving their own food (which sounded very good), they allowed us to sit at the bar and eat our sandwiches from the deli across the street. Libby was a delight and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and take care of. She is knowledgeable about the brewery and the beer and was patient when we didn't quite know what we wanted. She even gave us some local history on the town and brewery. If we are ever in town again, we will definitely be staying for food and a few beers!

I wrote a book called "Beyond Heart Mountain" and giving a talk down the street at Sidekicks Books. I like to support downtown business and stopped for a beer and Reuben at Bitter Creek Brewing. The sandwich was great with a pile of pastrami and a salad for $14 and 10oz of IPA for $3.75. It was early and I was the only customer after the lunch rush. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

Nice Main Street brewery to stop on your way through. In the little town of Rock Springs there is not much to do! But this brewery provides a nice waterhole to pass the time. Fairly empty for 3 pm on a weekday which allows for a quiet hang out spot. Great playlist of 90 hits and waitresses are very helpful with selection. Tried the Scottish ale, lager and IPA which were all tasty but not the best beer on the block. The cauliflower was also good but a little too much sauce on top. Nice place to relax and chill, actually pretty cool to sit down and read a book.

Very clean brewery restaurant and bar. Had the cobb salad its by far one of the best. The staff is very friendly, was seated right away and the waitress was amazing, friendly and very attentive. I would have given them 5 stars but the pale ale was served warm and not cold.

Stopped on our way through to Idaho and needed a good dinner! The Cajun Fettuccine was really good!!! The staff is very friendly but it's pretty noisy so if you want to visit may be a little difficult

Homemade food, good portions, great staff, cool building. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in town! The spicy chicken wings may be the best I have ever had! The pot pie, made daily, is quite tasty with a lovely crust. Thai nachos are delicious. A note for teachers: Bitter Creek does a free appetizer for teachers on Wednesday! Now that is awesome! If you have never been this is definitely worth a stop. The menu goes above the traditional bar fair so branch out from the burger and fries and try something different. Although they have a huge selection of interesting burgers.

The food is hit and miss here. The atmosphere is good and the service is fine. The Reuben sandwich is what brings use back.

I love Nell's. I…read moreeven tell people about Nell's when I'm working in Utah or when I meet people who are also from out of town in rock springs haha. The gals that work there are always so bright and cheery and so sweet. I like a sweet coffee and they have this banana cold foam that has a grip on me, I get it every time. 99.5% of the time I get hot drinks because thats what I prefer but that banana cold foam has me getting blended drinks just so I can enjoy it. I haven't been to the other locations but this one has my heart. I love their sweet rolls but I REALLY love sweets. If you're not huge into sweets then you'll want to ask for less icing or icing on the side because it is piled on there- which *i* love but my friends who aren't as into sweets find a little overwhelming. Occasionally they have made a few mistakes on our order because it's a car full of people who all have substitutions and add ins but it hasn't made us not want to go because the coffee and service are good. This is my go to spot for coffee during the week. This current location is closed on Sundays when I usually leave town which is sad but has let me explore other local chains. They have a loyalty program which is great because my friends and I come here every day we are in town haha. I always look forward to my first mocha of the week at Nell's though!
