Highly professional personnel, outstanding customer service. I am highly satisfied with my experience at BD (Bitterroot Dental). I had quite a few things done at BD: cleaning, filling, tooth extraction and every time they did an excellent job. I can compare as I saw few different dentists before. BD deserves 5 stars easily. I had a very bad case of abscessed tooth when I went there first time, as a walk-in. Dr. Duke took care of it fast and painless. I have no problems no concerns afterwards. I came back to BD for my other tooth problems. They would work around my schedule, I would not wait more than a couple of minutes for my scheduled appointment even thought it seems the place is always busy, and all of that with a great customer service. They explain everything; what will be done, how it will be done, what to expect, how to react. I am pretty happy with Bitterroot Dental. My wife will go there as well now. read more

Out of all the Dentists I've been to this is by far the best. Dr. Duke is not only fun and friendly but is great at making me feel at ease. I have had severe anxiety when going to see the Dentist and have to take heavy medication just to go in for a cleaning. After seeing Dr. Duke I no longer need medication. On my first visit he personally went and got his own iPod for me to listen to while cleaning my teeth because he could tell I was in a state of anxiety. He makes me feel very comfortable and at ease and not self-conscious about the quality of my teeth. Even getting a cavity filled is a breeze now with his new fancy laser. No more drills or shots into my gums, 20 minutes in the chair and I'm on my way out with no soreness or pain. I have been seeing Dr. Duke for over 2 year's now and ill continue to see him. read more

You did not give us the discount out of courtesy for one. My wife had to ask about that and the lady up front said oh that's right and gave us money back that we had just given her. And we did not choose not to have a full x-ray, that was not even mentioned to us. Yes we went for a specific problem.. You were unclear about how it should be handled (don't think we know to this day the way you wanted to handle it all). We left and made an appointment for a second opinion because we were unsure of what you exactly were going to do. I called to get the X-Rays that were taken that day from you all right at closing time. We never received a phone call from you all about canceling the prescription (not held it was cancelled per our pharmacy). Because of that I was in pain (as you could see) until the following day. read more

The entire team at Bitterroot Dental is fantastic! I have tried many different dentists in the past and am never switching again. The laser is amazing for cleanings and for cavities! I have a high tolerance for medications and used to require many, many shots of Novocaine. Now it is no numbness and no pain! My daughters, age 6 and 9, don't mind going to the dentist anymore (which was not the case with other dental offices). The 6 year old had a cavity filled with the laser "Clifford" and was fine the entire time. The "illumisure" program is wonderful and makes payments for services easier to achieve. My experience with Dr. Duke was excellent! I was visiting Missoula on a weekend and my 9 year old daughter needed a tooth pulled. Dr. Duke came in on a Saturday just to see her. I was impressed by how gentle he was. My daughter didn't even know she was getting a shot; he was that good. The tooth was out so fast she thought he was just looking at it. I appreciate the friendly but professional atmosphere. I also appreciate the fact that he took the time on a weekend to help both of us learn more about how to improve both our oral and overall health as well. Clearly he is incredibly knowledgeable about dentistry and cares about his patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Duke for any dental needs. If I lived in Missoula, he would be my dentist. read more

That's what my thoughts were when I approached Dr. David Duke's Bitterroot Dental office on Higgins near Stephens Ave. I had first learned of his office through a flyer and since it was so close by, I made an appointment. It was a great decision on my part. Since first meeting with Dr. Duke, I have been tremendously impressed by his knowledge and his professionalism. I had to have multiple implants to replace missing teeth. With the procedure completed, how fortunate I feel that Dr. Duke is my dentist. Very disappointed in the billing office. I went in for a cleaning and they said that I needed a scaling and that insurance would pay 80%. An hour and 15 minutes later they give me a bill for $340.00- that was my portion after insurance they said. The total bill was over $790 for the cleaning and now an hour later they say insurance will only cover 50%. My wife calls and the lady more or less calls me a liar- I am no liar! Secondly, THEY CHARGED OVER $790 FOR A SCALING/CLEANING. It lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes. I liked the dentist, but he has a rude staff who has no idea what they are doing. BEWARE!!!!!!! read more

I am one who is squeamish about going to the dentist. I don't like the drill, the scraping, or the shots. I chose to see Dr. Duke when I learned that he did the laser dentistry there. What a great experience! From the moment I walked in, everyone made sure my needs were met. The entire staff is awesome! loved the laser - no drills, shots, or scraping! I didn't feel a thing!! When an old crown fell off, I was dreading getting a new one. But the whole hour and a half went smoothly from novocaine to temporary. I appreciated that Dr. Duke took the time to explain so many things to me, which helped me understand more and put me at ease. I also appreciated his cheerful manner and skill.
