What a wonderful addition to a children's party! BJ came to visit yesterday and kept our group of 20 3-6 y/os in fits of giggles for his entire performance. The adults were captivated too. His performance was full of practical jokes and magic tricks with lots of hilarious gaffs along the way. He finished up by sculpting balloon swords, hats and animals for each of the children at lightning speed (and while wearing his clown gloves no less). What a legend! I hired him to entertained about a dozen children ages 2-12 at a company picnic. He was a huge hit with all the kids... and the parents/grandparents. Our event was outside @ Wilshire Park. BJ integrated the large trees into his entertainment, which was great. He brought two large nylon parachutes for the kids to sit on while he entertained them. His balloon sculptures were AMAZING!!! Even the adults were impressed. Animals, fancy hats, swords, all very cool. Some of the toddlers (2-3 yrs) were fidgety and couldn't stay sitting. BJ was incredibly patient and just let it all roll into his act. We hired him for 2 hrs and it was worth every penny. And many had never seen a clown before and were skeptical about the idea. However BJ was not only a great professional but he had all 20+ kiddos laughing their heads off..... I feel terrible that I didn't post a review 6 years ago when we had BJ the Clown perform at my daughter's birthday party. Oh well, better late than never. I have seen BJ perfume three times (2 birthday parties and 1 daycare performance), and I can tell you that adults and children were all thoroughly entertained. We were all laughing and having a great time watching his act. Not only is BJ entertaining for all ages, but he also clearly understands how to run a show. He was such a professional at all of the performances I witnessed. Always maintained control and engaged the audience, handled misbehaving children in an appropriate fashion, and kindly helped an embarrassed child brush a potty accident aside so that the audience wouldn't notice or dwell on it. BJ performed for our kids' birthday party and was absolutely terrific. We have a 7 year old and 4 year old who had a joint birthday party (so mixed age kids attending) and BJ adapted the performance so that all of the kids enjoyed it and were completely engaged. He entertained lots of parents and children at my son's 5 year old birthday party last weekend. He's friendly, prompt, professional and above all funny. The kids (ages 3-6 but mostly 5's) were enraptured by him too -- fully attentive and laughing and joyous. We did the 45 minute show, and the performance was top-notch. As a middle-aged parent, I found myself laughing often alongside the kids. He was the center of the party for the entire time, and it's obvious that he not only knows what he's doing but LOVES what he's doing too. I'll end by saying that he's a complete professional when it comes to communicating and scheduling, also. He replied to my emails and phone calls very quickly and helpfully answered any and all questions. Hellow incaise anyone was wondering if BJ the clown is a good clown to hire for your child's birthday party the answer is yes. i hired hem for my daughters 5 year old birthday party and let me tell you he was a riot he had the kids laffing the entire time a typical show costs $125 which is called the classic BJ the clown show. but i do not know what they do in that one sense i did not get that one. but what i do know is it is 45 minutes long. the One i got was called The BJ Delux show which runs over an hour and encludes games and balloons for guests and costs $145. no face painting is not encluded in that you want that you'll have to either do it yourself or hire someone to do it for you.he allso does majic trick's in the show juggeling storytelling and games and balloon animalls and he keeps the kids enterested in it like i said if you want to hire a clown for your childs birthday party and a good one at that this is the clown to hire i looked up multipel clowns before finding hem and then decided to go with hem defenitly glad i did and all the kids encluding my daughter had a blast at her party. read more
