A few weeks ago my brother and I started working for this guy Nicholas Piccolino, and from day 1 I noticed certain red flags, like for example one time he couldn't finalize a contract after the homeowners had signed they had 3 days to cancel before the start date. So they did, they said they would reconsider and look at other offers, and Nicholas LOST IT, he completely went haywire trying to deposit the check before the customers could cancel it to "teach them a lesson" & "make them wait for a refund" every time he gets mad at a customer he gets extremely racist "effin indians this" or the "effin jewish that" but still we continued to work with him due to the need, and now he lost all his jobs and doesn't want to pay what he owes giving sad excuses mainly being that we (only 2 workers he had) owe him. Because we left 2 doors outside and they got water damage, mind you, we were supposed to come back the day after, but HE LOST THE JOBS FOR IRRESPONSIBLE, being inattentive, leaving his customers hanging trying to start a new job and leaving everything at current jobs as it was, he would call us and say "drop everything come here to this new job asap" I will be advising authorities but I would like to let everyone know because contractors like this take advantage of people who have no idea, Im pretty sure is not the first time he does something like this as he loves flaunting his connection to the authorities, I have a video of him clearly stating "if I want to not pay you I'll come over cause I know where you live, and punch you take all your stuff and still not pay you, and you know cops won't help I know every one of them." Like I said his main excuse why he won't pay is cause "we left some doors outside" mind you I took pictures of everything we did EVERY DAY, he knew those doors were outside because we were supposed to HANG THEM THE NEXT. he wants to claim his company hires the "best of the best" but the man was outside of pharmacies and home depots looking for extra hands even if they didn't know he just wanted to "speed the job to get the next check" so clearly his concern wasn't quality control it was always to get the next job, that's why he lost every job he had. He even sent me a picture of his bank account before he started giving me excuses he was negative a couple grand, what a coincidence that after he went negative he didn't like the work we did for him. Yet... he wanted to keep us working and WE HAD TO QUIT. Because we didn't want to keep working with someone who couldn't even pay what he already owed. This is only the tip of the iceberg with this abusive raging man. I have a video of him clearly stating the things he could do if he wanted to and not pay me still, but I'm planning on showing that on court if we get there idk if is illegal to post online, but this is for any future worker or customer of Nicholas Piccelino. To know the type of man he is. He hasn't paid till this day, and I will have to take him to court, spend time and energy because he's a boy in a man's body who can't handle the pressure of being a boss. If you're providing a service to a customer who will be paying you, what is the need for such an attitude. He called my office a few times when I was unfortunately on the other line. My poor colleagues answered the line and were frantically screamed at with no idea what he was even talking about. When I called him back to troubleshoot the problem and come to a solution, he was only interested in telling me how "I would never make it in business," and I was "dishonest," and how "We're all just trying to make it in New York City." There was a problem with what we ordered and invoice payment, which was the cause for the trouble. We had added on a couple additional items that we ultimately did not have installed. We requested a refund for these additionals, not knowing their stance on refunds. Our reason for not knowing these terms is because he forgot to send the contract before the job was completed, as -- I admit -- the job was ordered and organized very last minute. Therefore, terms were never explained or signed off on. Despite this, I tried to handle the discrepancy professionally. Donny, however, was only interested in yelling, blaming and hanging up the phone when I tried to speak calmly and rationally. If this sounds like a service you'd like to welcome into your home, I wish you luck. Note: I drafted this review years ago and realized I never posted it. Reading it over again, I STILL remember the way he spoke to my colleagues and me over the phone. Nightmare situation, nightmare person. DO NOT HIRE.
