BJ's is a membership-only warehouse club chain that is similar to a Costco and Sam's Club. The store sells a broad range of products, including groceries, electronics, furniture, housewares, clothing, shoes, pet supplies, cleaning products, computers, lawn and garden supplies, toys, appliances, health and beauty products, etcetera. However, this BJ's store appears to be a smaller size and to carry fewer products compared to the Costco in Cranberry Township. I was not a member of BJ's until last night. I had heard that a free one-day membership pass was available, but I was able to sign up for that one-day pass only through BJ's website for online orders. Inside this physical store, the customer service employee told me that they do NOT offer a one-day pass for the store, but non-members may walk around the aisles to browse before they decide to purchase a membership. After waiting in line for 15 minutes and being told this information, I decided to skip the free browsing and to instead buy the one-year membership for $55. In several days, BJ's will email me a $40 coupon to use toward a future purchase. In addition, they gave me a coupon booklet to use immediately. If you decide to become a new member, then I encourage you to use that coupon booklet during your first visit, because it contains a coupon for $5 off your overall purchase plus other coupons. All of these coupons basically pay for the membership fee for the first year. Please note that the membership does automatically renew each year, so if you are no longer interested in being a member for the next year, be sure to cancel in advance. Additional coupons are available through BJ's website and app, but I do not typically look for coupons, and I prefer that BJ's just automatically give customers the lowest possible prices. While I was walking around the store, I noticed that the aisles were organized and clean. Products were easy to locate, and prices were clearly visible. I picked out food and pet supplies that are a high quality and a reasonable price. At the checkout, self-service stations are available, but I had a cashier scan my products at her cash register. She was polite and accurately rang up my purchase. Beyond the cash registers are a snack bar and an optical store. I did not buy any snacks or visionwear. Before exiting the store, another employee checked my receipt to ensure that I did not steal anything. She slowly checked my cart, but I assume that is because she and all of the other employees are new. Outside the store is a BJ's gas station that sells regular, premium, and diesel fuels. I did not use this gas station, but I might do so in the future. Several pumps were open. Prices were slightly lower than at competing gas stations. Please note that through April 30, 2022, BJ's is offering an extra 50 cents off gasoline for customers who spend $100 or more on a pickup or in-club purchase. The purchase of products and the purchase of gas must be on the *same day*, and the website says that the 50-cent discount might take 15 minutes to work at the pump.

It's opening day for the 2nd Pittsburgh location of the new wholesale club. One of the nice things about already being a member is that I can use my membership card at any location and also redeem their coupons and store coupons as well. Like the South Fayette location you pay a yearly membership and you are then able to shop both in store and online for pickup. Staff really goes out of their way to make you feel at home and make up for any errors. This location is laid out the same as South Fayette location with the aisles clearly marked for what you are looking for. Complete with a café, in house deli, bakery, home goods and tire services they offer a wide selection of things in order to do one stop shopping. Note prices are competitive with grocery store items but you can buy in smaller bulk than you would at some of the other wholesale clubs. Lately I have been tremendous use of buy on line and pick up in store. I normally get an email letting me know when my order is ready for pickup and I have 24 hours to pick up my purchases. On this particular day I made an online order and when it was ready (an early pickup) I was stunned to see that they were out of a certain item I wanted. Into the new store I went to try to get a substitution. The staff here was very helpful to find a replacement item and told me of a new online feature they are working with which will allow me to substitute an item if it turns out they sell out of it. I'd say the best part of buying on line for store pickup is that you can either go to a designated parking area and check in on your BJs app or head in the store. Many times when I shop BJs I can focus on the items I need. The staff was gracious enough to combine all my purchases and take them out to the car for me once I moved it into a pickup spot. This location also has their own gas which you can purchase if you are a member. Occasionally you can get gas discounts depending on certain items purchased of if they are running specials. One of the bugs I see online is that if you want to purchase from another club you have to "switch" clubs in order to do so. They need to fix that so that I can always keep my home club available when I want to go back. BJs Wholesale is located in the Block Northway far to the back of the main shopping area. They have their own parking lot.

Recently I have gotten into milling around stores like this. Not sure what has come over me but I…read morekind of like it. I like looking through items and thinking what if I had this. I have also come to the realization that you don't always need to buy new when you are looking for unique. I really enjoyed this place because they have something for just about everybody in here. What one person may find tacky another will enjoy immensely. The downstairs is setup nicely. You can easily maneuver through the area and see everything they have on display. Don't think that this is all that they have in store, venture upstairs. Upstairs takes a little more time to go through. But it is still a great area to go through. I was drawn to this map of the city, of course I was too late as it was sold. Would make a great wall piece. There were also an abundance of globes that were dated, but kind of awesome. I also eyed in on a coat rack, but had to talk myself out of it as I really didn't need it. Don't mind the noise when you are upstairs as this sits underneath Arsenal Bowling. At least don't think that there was another floor to this and that they were moving furniture around, as my friend did. Really amusing and confusing to the employee when we were in here.

I have been there 3 times in the past 6 weeks and purchased something each time (a piece of…read moreoriginal art, an MCM umbrella stand and a mid century ceramic table lamp). I would purchase more if I had a need for more furniture because the selections is incredible and the prices are great. The staff is very friendly and it is great that they have a very nice and friendly dog. I will be going back every few weeks to check new items and love the fact that the website is updated with new pieces they get in. A great store that adds so much to the neighborhood.

Weisshouse made it up to me by giving me a credit of $1000 on a new piece of furniture. I bought…read moretwo more chairs from them, not electrical recliners!

I thought it was my fault and that the slipcover wasn't washable so I didn't contact the company at that time. About 2 years later, I was looking for a chair to go in the room, and I showed the designer a picture of my room. She immediately commented that the slipcover looked too tight. I told her at that time that the slipcover shrunk after washing. After sending out people to look at the sectional, it was decided that they would split the cost of a new slipcover with me. However, the owner, Stacy, and the manufacturer would admit to no wrongdoing and would only say that the "new one shouldn't shrink." After spending over $25000 at their store, I wasn't prepared to pay any additional money to maybe rectify the situation. The most troubling aspect is that I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they didn't even have the decency or courtesy of responding or trying to work with me to resolve this problem. The designers and support staff are very helpful and supportive (with a great eye) which is the only reason that I gave the store 2 stars. Unfortunately, they and their customers are not supported by the owner. I have included pictures of the sectional with the tears that have occurred from trying to get the slipcover back on the sectional.
