Good prices on most things, competent staff. Some things are unique there too. I would rate it higher but I am quite upset with the roaming robot "Tally". All it did was get in people's way and make constant noises. I could not wait to leave and may not ever go back. I couldn't imagine working there with it. I think the geniuses in corporate that decided to add that thing should be forced to listen to in the corporate office all day and try to get work done. Whenever I have had a problem Roxanne always has the answer Recently I had a misunderstanding with some information that was given to me by another employee. Anyway I never expected it to be corrected but Roxanne was able to do that to my surprise. She is always pleasant and easy to deal with. I ordered 4 tires for my car and made an appointment to get the tires installed. when I got to my appointment on time, they asked me if my tires were delivered. apparently they have no way of knowing this even though I am a member. I had to go to my email to verify that the tires were delivered there. then the tire person called over the intercom for over a half hour for someone to get him the tires because he said that he could not leave his area to get the tires. all this time I had to wait even though I had an appointment. Then he finally gets the tires and tells me that it will be about an hour and a half for the installation. Now I am still waiting over two hours later for my car to get done. I called and spoke to one of the store managers named Annita and she did nothing. I called the customer service and they did nothing. This is my worst experience ever getting tires for my car. I will never buy tires at BJs and I am canceling my membership because membership has no benefits or privileges unless you consider waiting over 2 1/2 hours for tires read more

I'm compelled to write this review soley because I'm sitting here enjoying the last of my birthday cake that came from BJ's. I probably wouldn't have a membership to BJ's if it were not for my grandmother sharing her membership with me since I'm convinced BJ's is always a value. But there are certain things I have come to depend on BJ's for, not the least of which is their bakery. In general, I balk at chains whose success is dependent on crushing mom and pop places just so greedy American consumers can save a few pennies here and there. But since all the bakeries in town have gone out of business, I HAVE to buy birthday cakes somewhere. BJ's cakes are hands down the winner. Moist, flavorful and always fresh. Both their whipped cream and buttercream frostings are EXCELLENT. I prefer savory to sweet and as a rule I'm not much of a cake eater, but I NEVER turn down cake from BJ's. Prices on cakes are good too, so that's a bonus as well. You have to be really careful at BJ's because a lot of their items aren't cheaper. I always figure out the unit price before I purchase anything. Since you're buying in bulk, 5 or 6 items can land you around the 100 dollar mark. But diapers and wipes are a steal. Pampers, Huggies and BJ's brand are all super cheap. Baby formula as well. HUGE HUGE savings compared to supermarket prices. New release paperbacks are a few dollars cheaper than list price as well. I have no guilt about buying books at BJ's since Cumberland County's illeteracy rate has scared off entrepreneurs who might consider opening a new book store in the area. Sigh... Since I'm a penny pincher, I've figured out where the deals are at per unit. Deli prices are BJ's are uber good. Meat prices are not so great. Produce at BJ's sucks a butt. Snacks are in bulk, but not cheaper than the grocery store. Detergent, soda and paper goods are NOT cheaper than the grocery store. Housewears are hit or miss. Clothing is not really cheaper, but sometimes they have some really good finds. Hygeine items, razors, tyelenol, prices are okay, sometimes you can get some fantastic deals. Depends. Don't be fooled by the fact items are in bulk. You really have to do the math to get your money's worth. read more

We have been members since BJ's opened. Prior to that we drove to Deptford for Sam's Club. It's always neat and clean in here. Help has been helpful. I used to purchase lots of blank CDs here. That alone paid the membership price. Then there were diapers, wipes, and other baby products. My daughter's first shopping experience was here. Now I purchase lots of meats here (pork butt, ribs, chicken, brisket when they have it, etc.). We pick up other things here too. The installation of the self check-out lines have been appreciated by us. I did have an issue with a camera I purchased here. The return could not have been easier. I was able to upgrade without an additional cost. We have been happy customers. read more

Boohoo! Go out of your way to come here if you go to the Voorhees location. Yikes. It's like night and day! Plus it's in a nice shopping location. So you can do all your shopping in one day. I love this place. There is a very big parking lot with direct access to shopping carts in sections of the lot. You will see soda vending machines when you are about to enter the store. The actual store itself is huge. It is a great wholesale store that allows you to buy products in bulk and pay lower prices for them. The only downside is that they don't give you bags so you either have to bring your own bags or boxes or carry the products to your car. The cereal selection is limited but they have the essentials. I would recommend paper products as well as detergent. Also, they take up to four manufacturers coupons. read more

This store is one I have been shopping in since it opened! Over the past three weeks or so, the woman manager has not been there. The overall atmosphere and the cleanliness of the store has gone down tremendously! This morning we were shopping - it was a large order and we were directed to a cashier. She was horrible! She totally ignored us and went over to speak to another customer after she scanned my card. During the checkout, she was talking but we could not hear what she was saying. She was miserable and rude. We had two orders and when we went to the woman who is supposed to check orders, she just stamped the receipts - NEVER even looked at was in our cart! I truly enjoy the BJ's experience. I don't mind paying the membership, when you do the math, it cost me $3 a month to shop there. I have been a member for a few years now, and the thing i love the most has to be return policy and the workers at the membership counter. I have returned items a few times, and they are very pleasant people who are very quick when it comes to the transactions. I also love visiting this store early in the morning, before alot of the restaurants and other businesses gobble everything up. I buy most of my meats here. I love to grill, and i buy quite a bit of pork ribs and beef brisket. The worker's in the meat department are very nice also, they actually told when they get deliveries and when the best time to get my ribs. I can call up and reserve a case of ribs with no problems, and they seem to be on top of things. I used to go there awhile back, and it seemed like the butchers shifts didnt exceed 4pm for some reason, so as i previously stated, this is the main reason i go in the morning. The early birds gets the worm, & ribs!! I also have to give a really big thumbs up to the fella who runs the bakery. He's very funny and very, very easy to talk to when i had questions regarding my daughters graduation cake recently. I can't beleive the prices and if you buy a couple of cakes per year, you get your money's worth right there. I do have two negatives that i wish they would do something about. One being the long lines, i feel like i spend half the day there. I do enjoy the self checkouts, but there's always someone in the self checkout line with an entire cart of merchandise, why is that? The last negative would be the not so courteous service in the deli department. I'm a very easy going person, and it takes alot for me to get upset, but customer service makes or breaks my relationship with a business. There are a couple of "clowns" who work in the deli who like to be smartasses, and comment under their breath while they work. I understand it's hard to find good help, especially when they are very young, but this young lady was very rude to a customer who asked for a half lb of pepperjack cheese. The deli worker responded relatively loudly " i can't believe people actually eat this shit". I couldn't believe my ears, it was loud enough for me to hear it and i was 4 deep in the line. After the customer left with her cheese, the young worker said to a coworker " did u see the nose on that lady? " I wonder what she says about me, being a full-figured fella. She is also very slow, and talks the entire time. There was an older gentleman with a BJ's hat on, i think he might have been a manager, he was talking to her for the 10 mins while i waited in line. I was about to ask him if he can hop on the other slicer and get us outta here already. Long story short, if i see this young lady there, i just pass. but i just wanted to give you my two cents on one of my favorite stores. read more

The general manager (Craig) told me that he cannot review the cameras at his store. NOR does he have anyone that can review them. My friends wallet was stolen and could easily be retrieved by looking at the cameras. If you lose shit here they will not care and they will not help you. I called the police try to help me get a look at the cameras. Hopefully they help because Craig doesn't know how to run a fucking store. read more

I recently visited BJ's Wholesale and tire center in Vineland, NJ. to have four new tires installed on my small pick up truck. I ordered and paid for the tires on-line and an appointment was also made on-line for the installation. Easy peasy right? No, dead wrong! My appointment was set for 9:30 am and as a courtesy I always arrive at least 15 minutes before any appointment. There were two men (installers) behind the counter when I arrived and no other customers in the office or vehicles in the bay area. Neither one of these men greeted me with a hello or good morning and were very abrupt answering my questions. I understand that everyone has a bad day every so often but these individuals were just flat out rude. Well, two hours later my vehicle was finally ready. Two men, two hours to install 4 tires on a small pickup truck must be a new world record. Needless to say, I am contacting BJ's corporate to vent my spleen over this incident and never again will I use BJ's in Vineland for anything. Please pass this along. Thank you. read more

I'm a tough critic. Bj's has very good deals, but in my opinion sams has better pricing and selection. Sams for me isn't worth the drive. I do all of my food shopping and most household shopping at bjs. The only easy to point out downsides are: 1. The bug guy. It is pretty annoying being hassled into buying stuff and slightly bothersome when all you want to do is get your stuff and get out. 2. The better deal prices seem to rise. I got awesome deals on milk there and bought large bulk. I noticed they raised the prices on items I found to be better deals and left other ones alone, probably because a large number being sold and stocking reasons. 3. Selection is limited. Many things you can't find there. They have other items suitable for substitute, but I just wish they had better selection on many items. If you make it past all that Bjs saves you a lot of money. Grocery stores now days are too crazy high priced. Customer service is low average. read more
