Very skimpy on food and overpriced and it was not welcoming at all. Do not recommend.

Came here with the hubby for some lunch on our way towards the shore. We sat for a bit when someone finally brought us menus. The server was friendly, although overwhelmed. There was no direction of whether to order at the counter or be seated. Hubby ordered a salad that he asked for with chicken but when it came out about 45 minutes later, there was no chicken. I ordered a salad and a mini hamburger- it was advertised on a Kaiser roll, but came out on two slices of bread. When I ordered it, I asked for it medium rare, but it was well done when it finally appeared. Disappointing. The food tasted fine although my hubby's chicken tasted like charcoal. About a half hour after waiting, the people next to us were told there was no roast beef. They adjusted their order and got their food before us, although we ordered before them. A bit strange. While I was waiting for our food, I walked inside to see what kind of things were for sale. They had balsamic vinegar and olive oil which were nice. The vinaigrette was really good and we were told they used the balsamic from it. However, on the shelves in the back, there was a cruddy jar of something that no one would buy. I picked it up not realizing it but put it back. I am adding a picture of the flowers. They were very nice. They should put some work into fixing the signs around that were peeling. read more

Horrible business. Please save yourself from getting scammed. We had our child's first birthday there. None of the food we ordered was provided (the pasta was disgusting). We were forced to take Scott (owner) to court where we had to listen to him lie and continuously mention my (recently) deceased brother to an effort to appear more sympathetic (despite Scott making us waste our time dealing with him and the court case days before my brother's funeral). We won our case and were awarded ~$2250, which Scott swore under oath he would pay....You can guess he never even attempted to pay. He is a liar and a thief. We have phone recordings, pictures, and much more evidence of his dishonesty. Please don't throw your money away and support an actual deserving local business read more

Tried for first time tonight. Has the charm of a small town general store. Odd setup to say the least. No real way to know if you should seat yourself or wait for hostess. My wife ordered soup and cheesesteak. I ordered buffalo chicken sub. Soup and cheesesteak both were very bland and underwhelming. Quite possibly the least appetizing cheesesteak we've ever had. The buffalo chicken sub was ok. The grilled chicken was too charred to be enjoyable. The hostess told us "he's known for his cheesesteaks". Not sure if that was a positive endorsement or not. Not on our list to visit again. We had high hopes of finding a new local eatery but this will not be one. I do have to thank the kind people who paid our bill. On our way to Amish country from South Jersey, Drove past this little place and decided to stop by. Quaint Decour fresh breads, very charming. We ordered bacon egg and cheese on a French Kaiser with fresh hot coffee. Was served by the father of the owner. Excellent service, fresh food, Nice photo opportunity. Oh yes, FRESH! That is the word we kept saying over and over again. I left so satisfied and happy. So what did we order? I got a half order of the Gorgonzola salad which accompanied a bacon tomato & bacon grilled cheddar cheese sandwich with light potato chips. My friend got the Scott's favorite cheesesteak. Where do I begin? The salad was crispy FRESH. The Gorgonzola... was the best I've ever had... so I ordered a pound of it on my way out the door. But back to the salad. Perfectly light balsamic vinaigrette glazed over freshly chopped apples, walnuts and cranberries. I will want to order this again. Now the sandwich... The bacon on the sandwich was hardy and oh so flavorful.... the bread.... soft and beautiful! Did I mention FRESH? And last but certainly not least, the cheesesteak. Their owners can also partake in a wine and cheese tasting and have a choice of ordering off of the menu or a buffet of select entrees, veggies, and homemade salads. Food is fresh and delish! As a true chicken salad connoisseur, Dodge's is in my top 5. They have regular, waldorf style, and mango...hello lover. It took 45 minutes to get three sandwiches there was one girl taking restaurant orders take out orders and answering the phone. The roast beef panini had steakum on it not real roast beef my chef husband who was there confirmed it was steakum. Wow! Who knew! Scott is lifesaver! We picked up a cheese board from another place that called themselves a cheese specialist the morning of our event. It was expensive, very disappointing and I was embarrassed to put it out. On our way, we knew of Dodge's and thought we could pick up something else up. Scott not only was willing to help, but took what the other vendor did and made it into a masterpiece. His presentation on a 4' real wood cheese was a show-stopper. Our server BREANA was by far the best and most professional server that has served me and my family in a long time. The Lentil Soup and Broccoli Soup were out of this world. This is a cup of soup, small fresh greens salad and a half sandwich. I had the cream of Asparagus and it was fabulous. The asparagus was so fresh with it still had a bit of crunch. Please do not use this place for your wedding! You will be sorry. My daughter just got married and Dodges Market catered the event. The staff was rude especially the young man that had pancake duty. The staff used our house to clean their pancake containers and left the mix all over the sink and caked onto dishes that we in the skin. When cocktail hour was over and the guests moved up to the barn, the staff left all the food in the boathouse and didn't even clean up. After the wedding the family cleaned the boathouse. They left and didn't clean up. They said they would come back the next day and do it. They did but the family did most of the cleaning up from the food. The bride said NO tulips. Well guess what? There were tulips on every table! The only thing that was good out of all the food was the duck quiche. Brides, be aware move on and look elsewhere for your reception cater. Another family member used them for a funeral and they were also disappointed. They were 1/2 late and 2 hours late returning to clean up after the guest left. What a little gem! This fine establishment is nothing but fun. The food is outstanding and the service is friendly. I had the occasion to spend a evening with my wife and family on a Wednesday evening that included a fine buffet and local wine tasting. I can honestly say it was one of the more pleasurable dining experiences of the summer. The owner was a gentlemen who was both attentive to our meal and wanting to genuinely know a bit about us as his customer! I really liked the attention. High marks!
