Great place for gasoline in Whippany. Right off the 287 highway, it is located near many other businesses and restaurants. Being in NJ, there are attendants waiting to pump the gas for you. I gave them my membership card and credit card and they did the rest. Premium for $3.22/gallon was not bad, considering other gas stations in the area were in the $3.50-4.00/gallon. read more

Brand new BJ's Wholesale Store here in Whippany and probably the largest I've ever shopped at. In fact it's so big that it comes complete with it's own Gas Station, Propane Tank Exchange Center, and an Automotive Tire Repair Shop. So yeah I'd say it's a pretty big deal, lol especially for us here locally it is anyway.    Shelves are loaded with excellently priced merchandise, aisles are nice and wide which allows for easy flow to pass by even the slowest of indecisive shoppers. Luv the ones who park their carts right in the middle of the aisles, it's like they own the place or something, lol.  Well, they are in the Club so technically. . .  Whatever, just stay outta my way cause I like to get in and get out and on my way without any of the craziness other club stores are famous for. This is a new BJ's club that recently opened. They still have balloons and signs up from the grand opening. An associate was handing out store map at the entrance. She also helped with finding the online order pick-up area. Unlike other BJ's, this one has it behind the checkout area. The store itself looks fantastic. Everything was super clean and new. Inventory was full, all items were fully stocked. I saw lots of people in customer service line to get the membership. My pickup was smooth. I got a nice BJ's tote bag, as they were giving one to each customer for opening special. I had a fantastic first time experience at this store. This BJ's has gas station too. Gas prices are cheap. There's also additional discount for BJ's members, 5c-10c per gallon. read more

We have visited these stores for years. Our go to outlet was in Succasunna. But when the Whippany store opened, I tried I ... it's closer. Well, the store is fantastic. Yes, it's brand new so there is a chance it won't be run well... no chance of that! The manager. ( I spoke to her) has it all together. The staff is retained. They are customer focused (one young man stopped what he was doing and helped me find a couple of items ... he did it with a smile too). Their prices are excellent. We buy for a charity through my church. Bottled water, granola bars, cold cereal... their prices beat even Walmart. Spotlessly clean too. Plus, the check out registers are staffed! My SO and I decided to check out the new BJs in Whippany after waiting many months for the official opening. Easily accessible off Rt. 10, the entrance and exit areas are navigable and you can get back on the highway in any direction when you're ready to go. The store itself had a typical BJs layout, but I felt that this one had more products. We were trying to figure out if the store seemed a bit small or if it was due to the abundance of items. I found a few things that I normally can't locate at other locations, so that was a definite plus. This new BJ's is so much nicer than the one in Ledgewood. It's bright and spacious. And dare say they have a slightly bigger selection. For me though, I absolutely love the gas station. You get a discount if you're a member and a bigger discount if you have the credit card. I like how there's only one pump on each side so you don't have to worry about going around other cars. Stopped at BJ's gas station about a month ago, first time had to wait 35 minutes, they told me the pump was slow, stopped today 6/26 waited in front of an open pump for 15 minutes, no one came by to take my card, so I left, went down the road to get gas, was done in 5 min. the couple cents I save at BJ's are not worth my time. If you want to save a couple pennies go waste your time at BJ's gas station in Whippany. Incompetency at it's best!!! read more

It gets the job done, but it's nothing to write home about. Pretty standard warehouse club. Costco is still the gold standard.

Staff is friendly, store is brand new and clean. They have a good selection across the board that differs from the other big box stores, so the membership seems worth it. Their salad produce also appears to be fresher than our experience with other big box stores. There's a gas station with very small lines (the few times we went during the afternoon). My only gripe is the robot that walks around the store makes this increasingly annoying whistling sound.. so just gotta try to tune it out the best you can. read more

My husband and I stopped for gas at the gas station. First off that's a great deal if you have the black card to get five cents off the price posted. Unfortunately as we were pulling out, we realized we had a flat tire. We went over to the tire station and Jeff the manager was amazing. He took us right away plugged and patched our tire and it was only $13.50. They were so helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this location to anyone who needs servicing on their car for tires. Thank you again jeff! read more

Don't give them Credit Card information. When you cancel your membership they keep charging your card.

Clearly this place needs better management. You get bothered by people trying to sell home repairs and cell phones while shopping for groceries, which always start with a hello, how are you, and goes on from there, and they keep it up when you say you are not interested. The deli is a disaster as well. it took nearly 1/2 hour to get two cold cuts as there was a person in front of me and the two workers were arguing amongst themselves about breaks and seemed like they were having a who can go slower contest. To top it off, went for gas and rather then working the pumps, one of the attendants was rudely directing traffic instead. When he did finally get to pump the gas, he was so angry he was slammed the fuel door on the car in front of me. It seems like this is his thing. takes his anger out on the customers. I will not be back and will cancel my membership. read more

As an employee for this store i could give 0 stars if it was possible . I have a couple complaints since nobody at this place fix the issue. Marty the head front end manager and Mauro the store manager treat everyone like little kids . We can't talk to our coworkers, can't eat snacks , we can't Take long in the restrooms , can't even check our phones for the time or any family emergency we might have while she has all sorts of foods in her podium and be on her phone !! She continues to treat us and be on top us like if we in the fu***** military or some sh**!!! This has been brought up to HR about this situation and NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE ! Compared to Costco. Costco is better. Costco is nicer looking, shelves are neat and products neatly in place. BJs bakery had semi empty tables, and not a big assortment as Costco. read more

Great place. Aisles are well-stocked. People on the sales floor are very friendly and a convenient gas station with good prices.

I live in Rockaway, but decided to try BJ's in Whippany because the Costco in Wharton is such a nightmare due to traffic and a terrible parking lot. The Whippany BJ's was such a breath of fresh air. A huge parking lot, a super clean store, and the prices seem slightly cheaper than Costco. Another plus is the deli, where I did not even have to wait to get my custom order sliced. Finally, there was no wait at the gas pumps, and they appear to be matching prices with Costco for gas. One added note, if you sign up for the free BJ's credit card they will give you 15 cents per gallon off their already low posted price. I would recommend this store in a heartbeat over the Wharton Costco. read more

We stopped at the Whippany location to get gas!!! We usually shop in Flemington and Fort Myers!!! Despite there being lines at the pump and only 1 person working / we were in and out of there in minutes!! Gas was $2.81!!! Love BJ's!!!!! read more
