Please do not get fooled by the reviews, pics and "low price trick" on the business website. This is "low price" scam. I was generous to give him 50% of the cost of the work PLUS he insisted more money to order stone veneers; now he has 72% of the cost of total job. Now you are stuck! He was dragging the job because he already has 72% of the cost. Please do not be generous with him when he insists extra money to order the material. What he did, he tried to drag the job for months and insisted to pay total cost without completing the job. All he did was he tried to get the whole cost without completing the job an run away. He told me to complete the job in two weeks but he took two and half months. He has no clue what masonry is. He broke the blade while he was using it and he will remind the customer several times that he broke the blade. He broke it because he does not know how to use it. He will forget to bring the tools to be used for the job. He had asked me to provide nails (twice), drill, broom, metal shovel to mix the cement. This will tell you how professional he is. He will quote low price (which btw is not low price) but he has ways to add additional cost. Here is something about the quality of the job he has done: He has done a shabby job, has used improper size of the material, stones are loose and coming off, wall is cracking, i doubt the wall will last longer. He harassed us, tried to blackmail us, tried to extort money from us. He took advantage of COVID 19 situation. He knew courts are closed due to COVID 19; customers do not have many options other than get harassed by him. He and his employee do not believe in social distancing and PPEs. Every time he and his employee left, they left a mess on the steps, cement on the handrails, driveway and main entrance door. I wish there is a less than one star so i can give. I have pics of the mess he left on the last day he left. If someone would like to see, I would be happy to provide. You may want to check if he is registered with the state and what kind of license he has? He has no street number of his business on his website, all he has is street name. Very fishy! I have numerous texts as proof of his lack of good customer relations, the promises and the accusations. I have not been angry or mean in my communication, just straight forward and direct, and kept all conversations civil, but it was not easy with his lack of tact in dealing with a client. We have gotten terrible communication and lots of excuses why he has not completed the work that was promised to be completed as discussed.

The edges and finishes are visibly uneven, and although the contract states that 4 inches of paver would be installed, in many areas of my driveway I measured only approximately 1 1/2 inches. There are also several areas where water is pooling, and the driveway entrance was installed in a way that does not meet the required standards. The project also caused damage to my solar system battery and to my front deck. Despite bringing these issues to the company's attention multiple times, they have not been properly repaired. Instead, I have repeatedly received excuses and delays. I was also charged approximately $2,500 for additional work that, in my opinion, was not properly explained or clearly communicated beforehand. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Patriot Paving and with the way my concerns have been handled by the company's owner, Mr. Patrick Smith. I expected professional workmanship, transparency, and accountability, but unfortunately, that was not my experience. Based on my personal experience, I strongly recommend doing your research and carefully reviewing the contract, materials, measurements, and additional charges before hiring this company. I am sharing my experience so that other homeowners can make an informed decision and avoid experiencing the same issues I encountered.

I hired Patriot for a new driveway and a new retaining wall with precast reinforced concrete…read moreblocks. The wall was installed over the property line and i was charged $4k more to have it moved. Then while waiting for the driveway install, the building inspector came and said no permit was ever pulled. That led to finding out Patriot hired his buddy who didnt even have a contractor license. After many months, threats to go to a lawyer and calling the BBB, Patroit finally shortened the height of the wall so that a permit wasnt needed, but then only put down a rough binder coat of asphalt that already has tire ruts and cracks. When asked for them to repair it, i was told it wasnt their fault, that the dirt underneath was too soft. I was offered free complimentary sealcoating which they blew me off twice on, and then on the 3rd try they ghosted me for weeks until i told them to not even bother and dont step foot on the property
