That led to finding out Patriot hired his buddy who didnt even have a contractor license. After many months, threats to go to a lawyer and calling the BBB, Patroit finally shortened the height of the wall so that a permit wasnt needed, but then only put down a rough binder coat of asphalt that already has tire ruts and cracks. When asked for them to repair it, i was told it wasnt their fault, that the dirt underneath was too soft. I was offered free complimentary sealcoating which they blew me off twice on, and then on the 3rd try they ghosted me for weeks until i told them to not even bother and dont step foot on the property

Everyone emphasized and appreciated that they're a small, local family business. This was true because I had great text and email conversations with Paula who was very helpful. I did my own measurements and picked fabric from an online catalog that they sent me. I trusted them and paid up front so that they could order the fabric. I received a phone call about a day later confirming and fine tuning the details. They estimated 4 weeks turnaround to get the fabric but considering the craziness happening right now set the expectation that it could be longer - but sure enough 4 weeks later I got a text and they installed 2 days later. He also demanded payment in full, prior to ordering. His wife called me two days prior to what he claimed was a factory price increase and instructed me to ZELLE funds to his account. I did so, but ZELLE would not do an immediate transfer (two days). The bank provided him with legitimate confirmation of payment codes for proof of payment. He refused to accept them. At the end of our telephone conversation, he began to swear at me profusely and wanted a 100% money wire to cover payment. In the end, his poor behavior showed his true colors as a shady business man.
