Best place to get nails done! Great vibe and excellent service !! Tracy and Andrew are my go to's but everyone is great!

I was in just a couple of weeks ago to get a pedicure before the cruise I'm taking. Their website was down so I had to make my appointment on FB messenger. When I got there, she did not have my info, but I showed her my confirmation on messenger and she accommodated me right away! They are used to only taking bookings on their website now, so my messenger request didn't go through. I was really happy they still got me in right away for my scheduled time even though they were busy. The nice young lady that did my pedicure seemed like she knew what she was doing, but also like she was new, if that makes sense. She knew what to do as far as doing everything in order, but her touch was so dainty and soft. I wished I had the guy that was giving the pedicure to a lady beside me because he was really massaging and digging in. This lady looked like she was in heaven. I felt like I needed to tell her that my toes are not fragile pieces of glass. I actually have really nice feet and uniformed pretty toes so I'm sure it wasn't that my feet were gross in anyway. She just has too soft of a touch for pedicures. I have to say, her nail polish skills were on point!!! Not a speck of polish on my skin and they were PERFECT. Very beautiful! Only disappointed part was when I went to pay I had 2 gift cards to use. One was a Christmas gift that worked just fine, and another was a GC given to me from Blum management directly as a thank you for being a bride that brought in a very large bridal party of women and a few groomsman. She gave me the gift card as a "thank you for the business", but it had nothing on it! I was so disappointed. I tried to explain, but there was nothing the girl could do. I had to pay the difference which wasn't a huge deal. It's just the principle of the matter I guess. I live out of town about an hour away and I have a lot of family that goes there and has for a few years. That is why I go there because it comes highly recommended by them. I booked online. The online appointment said I was supposed to be with Kelvin. I was with some woman whose name I don't know. I don't care that the person changed, just thought it was weird. I booked the Downtown Pedicure with a paraffin wax. The pedicure came with regular nail polish, which I was totally fine with. The woman doing my pedicure would not take no for an answer when asking if I wanted gel polish instead. She asked 5 times before I finally just said, "it's fine. Just do whatever." I was clearly unhappy. She didn't do the paraffin wax. The employees that didn't have clients were all sitting next to the woman doing my nails talking. Not the most relaxing environment. Absolutely horrible service. The worst nail salon in the entire state of Kansas. It would have been fine if the salon would have fixed their mistake but the way I was treated was even worse than the way my pedicure looks in this photo. This photo was taken after a gel pedicure... I got home and in the shower the gel started to peel off. Obviously it was done incorrectly... as gel does not come off easily nor should it the same day. I paid $60 for a horrible service. When I went back the next day to ask for a refund/a completely new pedicure, I got yelled at by the "manager" named Amy. Amy was not there when I got there and the receptionist had me speak to her on the phone.... She told me to wait there and that she would be there in 5 min. After waiting 15 minutes, Amy finally showed up, very rude, and told me that I could either get it fixed or to leave. I replied and said that is not okay, I need the entire set redone or a refund as I paid $60 for this service and it was for my college graduation... Amy continued to yell at me and tell me to leave before finally rushing away throwing her hands up. I was left at the front counter and was not going to leave because now not only was I sad about the pedicure that was done incorrectly and wasting $60 on it, I was also threatened and embarrassed to be yelled at... as if I was the one who was in the wrong.... Finally an older lady came up to me and told me that I had to come back the next day and that she would fix them. I said that's fine, thank you. I went back the next day to get them fixed and the lady did not give me a pedicure, didn't even speak to me, just stripped the old polish off and put new black gel on. Absolutely ridiculous the way I was treated. IT IS ALSO DISGUSTING. I won't be surprised if I get some kind of fungus. It is evident that they don't clean correctly, or care about customer satisfaction. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Worst place ever! They have a card with prices clearly stated but then refused to give me price on card because I only purchased it separately with combined. Then she said there was no additional room back where they dye eyelashes for me only my minor daughter then they had men back in the room with her, the lady's daughter came in the room, her grandmother and they were touching and bumping her while she was getting her lashes dyed and couldn't see who or why they kept touching her. I was looking for a nice salon to get my eyebrows waxed for a decent price. $15 seemed very reasonable. I've been to BLUM twice and I will NOT go back. My first experience with Tammy was WONDERFUL, she was ready when I got there for my appointment time, efficient, and super nice. I was so excited to find this place near me. The second time I had an "appointment" with Tammy which I know is not a true appointment. When I arrived Tammy was busy so I stated it was fine to let another staff member wax my eyebrows. This is where it all went south. Luna waxed me and from the beginning I had concerns. When she applied the wax she pressed REALLY hard on my skin. I'm used to having my eyebrows waxed so I could deal with the pain and I figured since she is the professional she must know what she is doing. I was wrong. Everything was fine when I left, my eyebrows looked great. A few hours later I began to have a great deal of pain and burning under both eyebrows. When I looked in the mirror I noticed my skin had been ripped off during the eyebrow wax. I called BLUM to inform them and all I got from the staff is that Luna would be notified. I wasn't offered to speak to any management or invited to come back for a complimentary service. Nothing. I've been getting my eyebrows waxed for nearly 15 years and this has never happened. I'm disappointed with BLUM's lack of concern for my experience. I will not return as a customer because of how my experience was handled. Best place to get lash extensions in town! I have been to a few other places prior to being referred here to Lexi at Blum Nail Bar and she has definitely exceeded my expectations! I have been a client of hers since 2018 and have always enjoyed coming to see her every month. Her chair is super comfortable that I fall asleep in almost every single session and wake up feeling refreshed and looking glam. Lexi is very thorough and detail oriented in her work. My husband and I had spend an incredibly relaxing afternoon at BLUM. We both enjoyed a hot stone pedicure. Over the years I've lost toenails to running, hiking and an ingrown toenail. I am extremely cautious having my toes worked on. The staff at BLUM did an excellent job, he cleaned up my cuticles and reshaped my toenails without causing pain and made my heels feel incredibly soft again. My husband throughly enjoyed the foot massage. We also received manicures. My husbands hands are rough from working, he enjoyed getting having his cuticles cleaned up and the hand mask that helped soothe his dry hands. I looked over at him several times during my manicure, he was so relaxed I think he may have fallen asleep a time or two. My manicure was fantastic, the gel polish lasted 3 weeks. I am so impressed I will go back tomorrow to have my nails done again. My husband and I enjoyed the day and have vowed to go back once a month for pedicures. read more

My daughter went in for a pedicure the night before her graduation, that evening after her shower her gel polish started peeling off her big toes, no time to have it fixed, we had to go buy polish to try to make them look decent. She went back to the salon the day after graduation and was treated very disrespectful by the Manger AMY. My daughter requested to have her toes redone AMY YELLED and told her that no money would be refunded and no free pedicure, my daughter replied by saying that is not ok, AMY the screamed no I not Kidding you...AMY then walked away leaving my daughter totally embarrassed at the counter. Receptionist did get my daughter an appointment for the next day to have her toes fixed. I went to the appointment with her because she felt threatened by AMY. I tried to speak to AMY about what had happened, AMY became very defensive with me and started yelling. I was appalled by her behavior. The salon was very dirty! My first time in because my co-worker recommended them and it will be my last time going. I got the dip manicure and while selecting my color I pointed to the color I wanted and said I want to do this fall berry color only to have the nail tech bring a completely different color. Then as I ask the tech if that was the same color his response was yes..it only looks like that because it's in the container it will get darker when I apply it I dont know about you but for the past 3 years of doing dip the color I select looks pretty accurate to what's in the container. I expressed again that I believe that this was not the color I selected but he insisted I was wrong and he right. Finally after doing my full set my nails did NOT get darker and the color he brought was NOT the color I selected. Instead of making the situation correct I was blamed for giving the wrong number (now remind you this was my FIRST time here and I POINTED out the color I wanted) and was told next time I need to select the number on the bottom. No how about confirming your customers selection especially if they are telling you that does NOT look like the color I selected even before you start the application process. read more

If you want an honest review, keep reading... I had an appointment at 10am on a Tuesday. I arrive and get seated in my pedicure chair by 9:55am. The receptionist asks what pedicure I wanted (already schedule the type online but oh well) says someone will be right with me and leaves - no water in the bowl.... The people around me are being seated and getting water in their bowl to start the soaking process but alas - no water for me. I am patiently waiting.... 10am goes by, 10:05 goes by, 10:10 goes by.... Still no water in my bowl or nail tech. Finally, around 10:15am one of the employees notice I still have not been assisted and she goes and gets someone from the back. Good thing I had an appointment. Keep in mind, the people before me and after me have been set in their chairs with water in their bowls and their tech coming out immediately. But not me.... Finally, boy wonder appears from the back and puts water in my bowl. He asks what type of pedicure I want (what is the point of making an online appointment and specifically requesting what you want?) He says he needs to go get acetone and leaves. About 3 minutes later, he appears again. Still hasn't done anything except put water in my bowl. He starts to remove my toe nail polish - only gets one foot finished - and then says he needs to go get a mask and disappears again. He re-appears and now it is 10:25am. He says that he didn't realize he had a 10:30 appointment and says someone else will be with me shortly. WHAT??? I had a 10am appointment?! Boy wonder gets into an argument with the original nail tech that noticed I wasn't being assisted. He throws his gloves and storms out of the salon. Second nail tech shows up. Guess what - she asks what type of pedicure I want. Seriously??? So she can't find my supplies and starts yelling at other techs to find my pedicure packets. My pedicure finally starts around 10:30. Keep in mind, I paid for an hour pedicure - the plush. This is by far, the worst pedicure I have ever had. The massage was non-existent. I have had a better massage from my 10 pound miniature schnauzer. I still have calluses on my feet and my nails looks horrible. I ask the current nail tech to talk to a manager. She says innocently "oh, is there a problem." Yeah, so I explain my frustration. She doesn't care one bit. She goes to the back and disappears for five minutes with another person. The other person gives me a dirty look as she comes out of the back and walks up to the receptionist. My nail tech comes back and gives me my ticket without another word. I walk up to the receptionist and hand her my ticket. She says "$59 please." Once again, I ask to speak to a manager. She does the whole innocent "oh is there a problem." Yeah, so I explain everything all over again. She says the manager isn't there. Ok, sure. Whatever. So, thirty minute pedicure and my feet feel worse and more rough than when I started. In my opinion, I would recommend to save your money and go to somewhere that would actually appreciate your business or do your own pedicure. read more

The place itself is beautiful! But I'd rather have left with beautiful nails. I booked an appointment for a manicure and got dip. Paid $40 to leave with dip polish coating my skin, the topcoat stuck all around my cuticles, and uneven polish. I booked my appointment for a acrylic full set on Wednesday (5/26) for Saturday (5/30) at 2 PM with Tim. On the call I told the receptionist that I needed a soak off and I would be getting a long stiletto set. After that she set up my appointment and it was confirmed. On Saturday I arrived to the salon and as soon as I get there I tell my nail technician exactly what I want (long stiletto set) and he tells me that he has no time to do that because he has a 3 o'clock appointment. He also told me that a soak off and a long stiletto set we're not mentioned in his appointment book. He began to take off my nails by popping them off with a tool rather than soaking them. As he was doing that it started to become very painful and I told him he was hurting me. Two of my nails started to bleed and he continued to try to take them off. I started to get frustrated so I told him to just soak them off. I ended up changing the set I wanted because of the inconvenience. He told me that he would be able to do the acrylics but I would have to come back after his 3 o'clock appointment to get them painted. I told him no because I had a busy day. As he was finishing up my nails his 3 o'clock appointment showed up and he told me that "I am lucky that she is a nice person because some customers would get mad and not want to wait" At that point I was fed up and told him "none of this is my fault and you should be talking to your receptionist instead of me". On top of him trying to make me feel bad for the scheduling, him and other nail techs were constantly talking about how drunk they were/are going to get. I understand there should be comfortability between a client and a nail tech but this was extremely unprofessional. I've already had a bad experience here before and it seems like it is becoming a reoccurring thing. Never coming back here again. read more
