State Farm has absolutely failed in taking care of a claim that was filed 5 months ago. Dozens of…read moreemails and dozens of calls only to get the run around. The only thing that I have faith in is that when speaking to this office you are undoubtedly getting the run around. I have been with them for 17 years and that means nothing to them. Aside from not being able to clear a claim their billing practices are shady at best. When I asked why I was double billed one month I was told they would call the billing office and get back with me. They did not get back with me and even after I called them they still could not give me an explanation. They released my private information to my ex-husband because he walked in there and asked them to. Once I brought that to their attention, began to become hostile and they were no longer interested in helping me at all. I am currently getting ready to an attorney to see what my options are for all of the stress and money that they have caused and cost me. I should be Closing on my new home on Monday but because of the complete incompetence of this office that is being delayed and I will potentially lose thousands of dollars. The only excuse they can give is we're really busy right now with all of the hail damage all the way back from May 7. Anyone that I have spoken to that had to deal with State Farm after the hailstorm that we had has been nothing but dissatisfied. I have tried my best to come to some resolution with them, but it is impossible. I have emails between myself and my agent and which instructed me to do certain things. When I speak to the claims agent, it is documented in the file that he denies any of that. When they claim adjuster came to my home, she was banging the ladder so hardly on my roof that it knocked things off my wall. I went out and asked her to please do that as I had that section of roof replaced a year and a half ago. In the file that I was not even home to speak with. She and I had a conversation about her banging the ladder on my roof. They keep passing at my expense and don't even have the decency to respond back to an email. Definitely will not be using State Farm ever again.

It took a complaint to the state department of insurance to get the correct refund.
