Beautiful Park We camped at Presqu'ile with a group of 10…read morefriends between 2 sites in Elmvale campground for Labour Day weekend. Excellent experience! Our campsite was very clean, large, and quite private thanks to the trees and the sites across being offset. It was also a 2 minute walk to a beautiful rocky beach that provided beautiful views and a relaxing environment. The comfort station was a quick walk up a short pathway and was very well maintained and clean. On Saturday we walked the marsh boardwalk which provided beautiful views and informative signage. Easy 1.5km walk and well worth it. Spent one of the days on beautiful Beach #2 which was not crowded at all. The beach has soft, fine white sand and was very clean. The water was clear and perfect temperature. We also loved how far out we could go because the shallow shoreline goes very deep. We decided to follow the trail that goes along the water from our campground to the lighthouse. It took about 40 minutes each way and provided many beautiful, peaceful views. Unfortunately the lighthouse was under construction, but the view of Prince Edward County from behind the lighthouse was well worth the walk. The water was very calm and clear on this beach side as well. We also stopped at the Nature Center en route which was really interesting. The staff were very informative and friendly as well. Overall, we enjoyed our long weekend at Presqu'ile Provincial Park and would be happy to return again in the near future.

You can reserve your campsite through Ontario Parks website and each campsite offers 1 car and if you are bringing more cars, you need to pay extra. There's both sandy beaches (in day-use camp) and rocky beaches in the campground. There's both sandy park is well-maintained with washrooms and showers across the campground that are getting cleaned twice daily. The phone and internet connection is very poor in most of the areas, but it'll give you a perfect chance to disconnect from the day-to-day routine and connect with nature and have some peaceful time.

We also booked our group of young children (ages 5 and 8) for (staff led) pony rides which they loved (rides for both the adults and children went through some beautiful fields and forests on the ranch/farm property). It was such a great experience I even signed up the kids for a Farm Scout day camp a few days later, given they luckily had some openings. Highly recommend! We were renting an Airbnb nearby and the house had two bikes for us to use. As we were a group of six we only rented four bikes from Ideal. However during our bike ride wine tour one of the Airbnb bikes broke and we called Ed to see if he could help us. He closed the shop and drove out to us with a replacement bike and took the bike which he didn't own back for us. This is really customer service and we were amazed at how awesome his customer service was. I highly recommend using Ideal bike shop for your bike rental needs while in PEC.
