We spent a half day on the Fantasy III boat fishing for fluke. We started the day at 7:30 and…read morefinished by 3pm. You bring your own food and beer, and eat whenever you want. The skip drives the boat out of Freeport into the ocean about 3-4 miles before he tells us to drop our lines. Depending on where the fish are, the skip may move to another area with more fish. Fishing gear and bait are provided. You drop your line to the bottom of the ocean and wait. Besides fluke, you can catch see bass and sea robins. My friend caught an eel when we were above a reef. When the day is sunny, wear shorts, a t-shirt, hat and bring sunscreen. If you get seasick, take Dramamine, otherwise you'd be sick and waste your time on the boat. I've never done this before and I'll definitely come back!

He made certain that we were fed always providing a box of Popeye chicken with biscuits giving us a bottle of water and soda and walking around the boat asking is everyone okay. Fishing buddies of America has seen a lot of members come and a lot of members go. I was very happy to be a part of a fishing trip that took place in North Carolina on a 24-hour fishing vessel where we caught lots of Vermilion snappers the size limit and the limit for two days as well as Grunt and triggerfish. It was my first experience and a great one. It's sad to say though in 2018 Mr Ernest Fernandez passed away. He does have friends of fishing buddies of America who are running their own charters as a matter of fact there is a trip on June 9th the boat is almost full will be a dedication to miss the earnest Fernandez will we will dedicate to the sea memories of mr. Fernandez. I think that is a great way to pay homage to him. We will also fish on this day in memory of mr. Fernandez for one of his favorite fish porgies. I can see the smile on this man face now catching two parties at one time. Nonetheless great man and a great time I had with him fishing with fishing buddies of America tightlines forever mr. The boat was very well kept and both were extremely knowledgeable and helpful as well. They even called Braco's to have them cook our catch when we go back to the dock. We ended up with appx 20-30 fluke (12 keepers) including a 10lb monster! Couldn't thank these guys enough and we look forward to hitting the waters with them again soon.

One of the trips was the best fluke fishing I have ever been involved in, with both big fish and a large number of fish being caught. Capt. Mike made good use of his knowledge of the fishing grounds and his array of electronics to put us on the fish time after time. On one of the trips I was fishing with two young cousins and Capt Mike and the mate were very patient with the boys, showing them how to fish and making it a great day for all. I highly recommend a fishing trip with the pros on The Codfather.
