We got married here on 5/28/2022! Everything was perfect! Service was great. Here are the details. Air temperature was cool & not too cold. DJ Ed did an awesome job playing all of our music. We booked his top of the line pkg. See the clouds and lighting & letters on the wall images. Bartender did great keeping up with our drink orders & no one was thirsty for more. In fact our guests all ran away from us when they saw the shots. Food selection. We went with the Mexican food pkg & so glad we did. The main servings included carnitas, rice & beans were. Flavors were all there & the salsa was spicy! We also paid a little extra to throw in some beef tacos towards the last hour of the service to get our guests sober & it was also flavorful & not dry or overcooked. Event Coordinator checked in and asked if we needed anything extra, but gave us plenty of space to hang out with our guests. She kept me hydrated & made sure I was a happy bride. Door man & security guard was nice & courteous to all of our guests. We felt safe when we were there. Cons: -Some of the chandelier lights flickered off and on on a few of them, but we had them turned down when the music started so problem solved. -Restrooms were clean, but could use some updates. Black Diamond provided taco catering + set up for an event last year pre covid and I was so excited for them to cater another event of mine. Unfortunately, Claudia confirmed date + time, but would not respond to any emails or calls regarding a down payment or anything else on my end. Still in good faith I assumed if she asked for confirmation details from me that it would be set. Not only did NO ONE SHOW UP (so I had to scramble to figure out food in front of my guests) BUT not one person returned my emails, calls, or texts. Claudia is an exceptional representative of Black Diamond Event Planning's business and quality of service. I ordered a mechanical bull a few days before the event as a last-minute idea. With ease, efficiency, and transparency, Claudia explained the pricing, delivery, and planning details. Admittedly, this was my first call around for a mechanical bull and Claudia's professionalism made it the last. Didn't need to hear quotes from elsewhere. Following the day of the event, I noticed that there was a payment discrepancy since I was charged twice for the deposit. I called this in and the issue was resolved within 15 minutes. Black Diamond gets 5 stars. I called a month in advance but I knew my chances were slim cuz I needed a caterer the day before Easter. When everyone else was booked. Black Diamond asked what do you need. YASSSS. I went with the black diamond package. This was my very first time ever using a caterer. I'm a control freak and have a bit ocd. I let Christina know this going in lol. Every step of the way she was very patient with me and answered every question I asked no matter how silly. I was continuously reassured she got this. Even the day she came she had to tell me to sit down she's got this. And she did. She perfectly handled my event. There was no food left at the end of the day. I was recommended this company by a family member and it all seemed too good to be true and it definitely was. There was so much miscommunication and the quality of service was horrible we were given dirty drapes and a tablecloths with cigarette holes in them and even a dirty photo booth. We had called to complain as this was for our wedding and all we were given was 3 panels of drapes that did nothing we had to cover most of the stains ourselves and then they didn't even discuss pickup with us so they rudely entered our parents home and tried to charge us for not having the tables cleared when we didn't even know when they were coming. Not to mention they told us 8 am drop off for set up and they showed up at 11 am. The staff was rude and intimidating and threw our items off the tables damaging our property and didn't say anything to us. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone if you're looking for a tenting company I'd look elsewhere read more

Extremely disappointed!!!! Requested there service for my daughter's wedding. They started setting up Friday 8:30AM the day before the weeding and still did not finish they had to come back Saturday morning to finish up. The owner broke the chandler and never picked ip the pieces. They delivered broken and dirty chairs that had salsa stains on them. Told the owner and she said someone would be there first thing Saturday morning to clean them and then never did we cleaned them our self. On Sunday when it was time for pick up he said he did not have workers and would pick it on Monday morning which was absolutely unexceptionable since this was not our location and we rented the space. Used them for my wedding in July 2019...disappointed in what i got. The ceremony part that involved this company went great, but then it all went downhill. First, when announcing us, they completely mixed up our bridal party and messed up names horribly. Second, they didn't give myself and my husband adequate time to go around and greet our guests (halfway though he called for our first dance). Third, he basically forgot my parents special requested dance (my sweet husband who was supposed to be enjoying himself had to run over to the DJ booth and demand that it be played). Fourth, he played a bunch of country music that clashed with our classy museum venue (INCLUDING 'COTTON-EYED JOE' which I feel was getting towards racist). Fifth, the food was underprepared and messily set up (it looked like it belonged in a school cafeteria rather than a classy summer wedding). The only consolation was the dessert table set up by the DJs girlfriend was absolutely stunning. She was amazing. (I was too busy to take photos but I will include one of the lovely dessert table.) I usually get this other taquero that serves the right portion for 50 people even with some left over. The set up was alright forks in a paper plate. Horchata was given in a small gallon bag. My daughter got married this weekend and they provided the food, tables, chairs & linens. They were AMAZING! The tables, chairs & linens were delivered the day before. The linens were brand new & tables & chairs were clean & beautiful! Last minute I had asked for the linens and they were so awesome about my request and were able to help me out. Claudia is fantastic! Friendly, understanding and professional! On the day of the wedding I freaked out looking for the food and Claudia answered her cell and had an answer for me immediately! The food was amazing! The staff was so helpful and friendly. Everyone absolutely raves about the food. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! Let' me start off by stating that I truly believed my event was going to be way different then I expected. I am truly sadden how my event came out. On the day of the event there was a lot of miscommunication, granted I was that one client makings changes the week of my event. Claudia was my point of contact and she was extremely helpful until the day of my event. I could not get ahold of her, ismael was the guy who did my set up, he informed me that they did not send him enough gold overlay for my tables, but assured me he would bring them at the time of my party since he was going to be the one doing my taco bar. Needless to say he showed up empty handed and my tables were incomplete. Second, there was not enough food to feed my guest. I paid for food for 130 guest and only 116 showed up and that is including 15 kids ages from 2-5 which hardly make a dent in the food. The worse part is that one of my guest mentioned that one of the taco guys was eating tacos while my guest were in line to get there plates. On top of that there was not enough avocado, onions and chilies and napkins. I ended up having to order Pizza Hut to feed the rest of my guest . I was so embarrassed. I tried calling Claudia the Monday after my event and I still have not heard back. I wanted to communicate to her my disappointment in private, but I'm left to write this review to provide other's a warning when booking this company. read more

Unreliable, unprofessional BEWARE! It's a long story will keep it as short as possible. I order a 30x40 one piece canopy for an event guy shows up and starts installing and I realized it wasn't what we had order told him hey this is a smaller canopy it was a two 10x20 his response was that's all I have. Mind you it's the day of my event he could care less he installed string lights which he didn't even install them properly they where dangling too low light bulb were broken, we were short on chairs which were dingy and dirty looking. My friend had to help with calling other providers to find another 10x40 canopy to complete what they couldn't provide. Imagine asking for one big nice tent to now have bunch of smaller one with metal poles everywhere it was not what we had envision. Later the owner comes back with the missing chairs and a fuckin box of light bulbs for US to change!!!! Really! NEVER WILL I EVER ORDER FROM THEM BEWARE! read more

I try not to give negative reviews but this is a partially negative review. I hired Black Diamond Event Planning to provide a TacoMan, rent a Jumper & Margarita slush machine for my 60th birthday party that I was throwing at my house. Everything was great the food, the Jumper for the kids except for the Margarita machine..they set it up around 2:45pm and it ran from that time until 11:00 pm and I even went outside to tell the guy that set it up that the margaritas weren't getting slushy like he said they would plus to top it off the machine was very messy and splattered all over my floor and counter top, we had to keep cleaning up the mess it made every time someone would try and get a margarita . My guest had to add ice to their cups the ones that did drink margaritas which was very few of them, some of my other guest were disappointed with the machine and asked how much I was paying to rent it. I emailed Claudia @ Black Diamond and told her everything was great except the Margarita Machine and that it never slushed the margaritas. I feel that I wasted $199 not to mention that doesn't include the Tequila I had to supply so I had tons of margarita left over that barely anyone drank. Well of course I paid them the balance I owed the day before the party. I didn't get a response to the email I sent about the defective margarita machine so that's the reason for the 3 stars. I would like thank Claudia and Christina from Black Diamond Event Planning for assisting us in making our daughter Jackquelynn's quinceañera a special day. They provide us with a balloon arch, a four foot number 15, table, chairs with all the dinnerware and finally for catering our small family dinner with some of best tacos we have had. With COVID impacting our lives we did feel that we were going to be able to give our daughter a quinceañera that she wanted. In January of 2020 we had already booked a hall for her big and I began to look for catering company. I looked into Black Diamond Event Planning and seen they were a one-stop-shop for more than just tacos. Even though all the shutdowns, they stayed in contact with us, and they could come through for us. We are going to continue doing business with them. I have used this catering company for both my personal and corporate parties. The staff is always on time, friendly, efficient and the food is great. From the lighting, tents, DJ service, taco man, aquas frescas you name it and they have it. The price is reasonable and there's always more than enough food to go around. From the beginning they had great customer service, great pricing and very nice staff. I hired them for a party and they planned everything out. Best people ever!!! I was really in a bind for a school dance, already had a photo booth set up with someone else that company dropped out at the last minute.
