A real challenge to get a class A motorhome level. You would think when making a new campground the sites would be level. Most sites short only 37 ft. Today's rvs are much larger. If you have a trailer it easier to level. Most staff very helpful but the main ranger thinks he is a drill sergeant with attitude. We wanted to see the actual park before coming as this new loop we had never seen. We were at another state park and had reservations for this park. No way. You have to pick off the website that does not show accurately the way you will face. So our site got all afternoon sun. We couldn't even enjoy the outside with such hot conditions. Five star campground if sites were level and the jerk ranger wasn't here.

I stay at budget motels like Motel 6 all the time, so I'm not expecting luxury. We stayed at Fox RV Resort last year, so we knew exactly what we were booking--a dated RV with 1990s decor and basic amenities. Last year, our only issue was that the grill had no propane. This year was a completely different story. We arrived on an extremely hot day only to find that the RV had no power. It was unbearably hot inside, and after checking the breakers ourselves, nothing worked. We called the main number, and someone came down to turn the power on. He even acknowledged that it should have been turned on before we arrived. Once we started unpacking, we noticed the back window was covered with a piece of cardboard to block out light. Then we discovered the bathroom smelled like raw sewer. After reading older Yelp reviews, I realized this has apparently been an ongoing issue with this same trailer for years. Next, we found out there was no grill, even though the website advertises one. We had brought a cooler full of food specifically to grill during our stay. We called and were told someone would bring one over. Forty minutes later, still no grill, so my husband called again. The owner answered sounding irritated and basically snapped that it would get there. Later that night, around 9 p.m., the Wi-Fi wasn't working. We weren't upset--we just wanted to make sure there wasn't a switch or something inside the RV that needed to be turned on. Instead of helping us, the owner answered the phone by saying, "Do you know what time it is?" He then went on a rant about how we'd already called twice that day with complaints before telling us to "pack your shit and go." My husband stayed remarkably calm. I honestly would have hung up. The owner also told us, "This isn't the Ritz." No kidding. We weren't expecting the Ritz. We were expecting the amenities that were advertised and basic customer service. The issues with the RV were frustrating, but things happen. What made this experience completely unacceptable was the owner's attitude. I've never been spoken to by a business owner that way in my life. If you value even basic customer service, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Took 20 minutes to get 3 cocktails and 2 kids juices and they were out of water bottles!?! Super understaffed for a holiday weekend. Took approx 30 min for 4 adult and 2 kids breakfasts to come out. I had scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and sourdough toast. Eggs were not fresh eggs, they were powdered or just like hotel eggs. Very disappointing. Hash-browns were kinda cooked with a half of a whole potato on my plate. Weird. Bacon and toast were good. Kids pancakes were kinda hard. Fake syrup and fancy brand ketchup are not appreciated. Please serve real syrup and actual ketchup. Very basic breakfast. My husband's breakfast sandwich he said was good and had a real egg! I'll order that next time! Loved that they had swings for the kids, next to a large store to purchase swag. On the other side of the restaurant is a small beach! Rocky shore so water shoes are a must! Older kids were doing laps running off the dock into the river, so fun! Fun bar and restaurant and we will return despite the few negatives. I'd probably prefer lunch or dinner here! Go to Pirates Den for breakfast!

We felt sorry for the tent campers in the 115° heat. We stayed in Space #23 on the end and closest to the water. The tent campers line the grassy cove. The cove leads to a short sandy beach that is protected from the wake of the river boats. In the morning we hiked up the trail on the mountain side to the chairs. Incredible views of the river. There's a grassy dog area, boat ramp, 2 public bathrooms, cactus garden, dump for the RV waste and the rangers were nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The scenery is beautiful and the park is located right on the river. Sunrise and sunsets here are amazing! Located in a canyon so the wind wasn't an issue. The river water is always flowing making it a great spot to post up on the grass and relax or have a picnic and people/boat watch. There is a fun 9 hole golf course located on the property. Behind the entrance road, there are sand dunes and great trails to explore on your dirt toys. If you want to be brave, bring some carrots and feed/pet the donkeys. Just don't leave your food out when you go to sleep! Everyone was extremely nice in the park (Including the staff!!!) Kyle told us all the good places to visit for night life and where to do our shopping in the city. Can't wait to go back. Very relaxing and great weather during Feb.

Very dog friendly and lots of places to walk your dog. They also have an excellent dog house to wash your dog and washing machine for those items covered in dog hair. If your into ATV/UTV riding, there is no place in Arizona better, hundreds of miles to ride and group rides leave the park every week and new comers are always welcome. There is a club house with lots of books and DVD's to share, in addition up to now they have a Saturday morning breakfast for a minimum cost at the club house. The cost to stay at this park is very reasonable, whether your stay is for one night or the winter. Give'em a try, we highly recommend them.
