Best local watering hole in Greenpoint. Excellent old world vibes with great service and cheap drinks. This is an excellent getaway from the noisy surrounding restaurants with friends for some drinks and conversation. Best part is Black Rabbit's pews for that private enclosure feeling. An absolutely fantastic experience. In addition, they do let you bring In outside food since they really don't offer much edibles.

Black Rabbit is one of my favorite bars in the neighborhood. The music is always super good and the vibes are so chill. Catherine is my favorite bartender there! She made me a "New York sour" which I've never tried before and it was awesome. Super personable bartender and made us feel really welcome. Recommend this spot!!

I'm a big fan of black rabbit - I've come here quite a few times while waiting for my table at Karczma! Black rabbit has a cool atmosphere (I love the decor) and a great drink menu. They have a great happy hour that changes based on the day (different days they have deals on different cocktails, among other drinks). The most recent time I came the happy hour was on an espresso martini.. and it was amazing!

Spent a relaxing late afternoon in their cozy backyard. They have happy hour everyday until 8pm. We got a pint of beer and a shot of whiskey deal for $10. The vibe was chill and they had a decent selection of board games inside, which we grabbed to enjoy while finishing our drinks. It's a great spot if you're in the area and looking for a place to hang out with friends or enjoy a casual date. Highly recommend checking it out!

Super homey and cozy bar, with nice booths to sit at and games to play. The bartender was so friendly that it made me really want to become a regular here, if only it were closer to where I live.

This is a great spot for awesome drinks! The bartender was super friendly and they have some frozen drink options that are great for a hot day. I always like that they have a pretty backyard seating area as well as a front seating area outside. I recommend coming here!

A bar with nice interior with dark brown wood and dim lightings. It is not a quiet bar but not too noisy to enjoy conversations either. Me and my friends enjoyed our catch up in their boxed semi private-ish table. Their glass wine list was okay, a little expensive side for local one, but i didn't find one I would like to have particularly so just went for their recommendation of their original drink with ginger and bourbon. It was really good. I will love to come back again for a date next time.

I forgot to take pictures of the drinks I got this instead

Perfect neighborhood bar. Always a good vibe. Music is usually good. Easy to talk to strangers here. Just a quietly magical place.

Their cheeseburgers are delicious and the service is phenomenal! It is such a cute and cozy bar and it is a must visit if you're in Park Slope! As someone who has come to this bar regularly to watch Knicks playoff games, I can confidently say…read moreI will never return after what happened during the NBA Finals last night. What this bar pulled was completely unacceptable. They were openly reserving seats at the bar for certain people while telling everyone else they were unavailable. There was no advertised reservation policy, no advance notice, and no opportunity offered to regular customers. Apparently, the only way to get a seat is to know the owner, know the bartenders, or be part of the inner circle. What made it even worse was that my group had been sitting at the bar, ordering food and drinks starting around 7:30 PM, only to be forced out of our seats at 7:45 PM. The reservation signs on those seats clearly stated they were reserved for 8:15 PM. We were paying customers actively spending money, yet we were removed 30 minutes before the supposed reservation time. That is absolutely egregious behavior. I've worked in sports bars and have owned sports bars in New York City. In all my years in the business, I have never heard of reserving seats directly at the bar--especially during a major sporting event. It goes against everything that makes a sports bar successful. Bar seats have always been first-come, first-served. That's Sports Bar 101. I've spent plenty of money here over the years because it was always a great place to watch big games: good atmosphere, sound on the TVs, and a fun crowd. Unfortunately, last night proved that customer loyalty means absolutely nothing. Regular patrons were treated like second-class citizens while preferred customers received special treatment. For a bar that markets itself as a neighborhood sports destination, this was incredibly disappointing, unprofessional, and frankly insulting. If you're planning to watch a major game here, don't assume you'll be treated fairly. Unless you're friends with the right people, don't expect the same experience as everyone else. There are plenty of other sports bars in Brooklyn that understand how to treat customers. After last night, I'll be spending my money there instead. I won't be back, and I certainly won't be recommending this place to anyone. Let's Go Knicks

In general, I like the mellow / peaceful vibes of outer borough NYC Irish pubs at lunchtime. McMahon's did not disappoint. Solid buffalo chicken wings & good burger. I am also post fries (I will try one or two of yours, but I don't need an order of fries for myself.), so can't comment on the fries. They also make a mean Caesar salad. The Caesar & buffalo wings are pretty much my metric for all Irish pubs. McMahon's would def be in the upper 50th percentile. There are a bunch of negative reviews for this spot on here for when they are very busy, on Barclays Center game nights and / or weekends. I feel like, if you read between the lines, it's people coming in groups when it's busy acting entitled. The staff at lunch has been nothing but courteous, w/ excellent service. Also, very clean inside, & food was good quality / fresh ingredients. There are almost no Irish pubs in this area open for lunch anymore at all - thank goodness this is a good one!
