I've visited this location a few times, and overall, I've had a pretty good experience on each visit. Drinks: I've tried the chai latte, hot chocolate, and regular coffee. The chai latte is usually great, but today, when I ordered an XL chai latte, it was a bit watery and bland--not quite the same, but still passable as a chai. The hot chocolate, on the other hand, was rich and incredible -- highly recommend it! The regular coffee is also solid and consistent. Food: I've tried the seasonal sugar cookie, but unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. While it looked appealing, it ended up being one of the worst cookies I've had. It was individually wrapped in plastic and came out cold and hard. I ate half cold and half at room temperature, but either way, it was bland and dry -- not worth the cost or calories. Every time I order from this Black Rock it takes 20 minutes to get a MOBILE order. I will watch all of the cafe and drive through drinks be handed out. Its wild that they only have one person on bar during a rush like that. IDK how it has so may 5 star reviews. They need to figure out their order of doing things because mobile ordering is supposed to be more convenient than that. Also when I said something about it they didn't even acknowledge it at all. Plus today I got my drink and it tastes AWFUL. In the time I waited for my drink I could've run to Starbucks and gotten a drink there. Really bad customer service. First time going, I asked for an iced sublime fuel and the lady at the box repeated it so I am aware that it was correctly said. I get to the window and they ask, "did you have the blue lagoon" I replied asking if the blue lagoon and iced sublime fuel is the same. She said no and informed me that the blue lagoon is completely different from the iced sublime. I requested if they could make the original drink and she flat up said to me, "no we can't change it" In a very rude manner. I came here for a coffee/work from a coffee shop date. There were limited outlets but we managed to find one. The wifi is spotty at best- we ended up having to leave because of the lack of wifi. The coffee was decent, I felt pretty neutral about it, but it was a bit more on the expensive side. The service was fast, however, they did forget about the food I ordered. After a while, I reminded them and they worked on it right then and there. It doesn't seem like forgetting orders is normal for them, and I appreciated how quickly they worked on it after they were aware. It was pretty busy, even for a Friday morning. This location has a business problem. Despite (or perhaps because of?) hiring what appear to be Victoria's Secret models as baristas, the service is terrible. The business prioritizes big Door Dash orders and the drive-through window at the expense of in-shop customers, who get hosed as a consequence. We were up against a time limit, and had to request our money back and leave. So, can't comment on the coffee, because we got none. (Two medium iced latte drinks would have cost $14.15, which I consider pretty pricey.) Not recommended. read more

As former residents of Oregon were were pleased to see Black Rock.in our area. In Oregon the locations are kiosks, he in Denver area, they are coffee bars. The space is bright and airy. The counter help is friendly and knowledgeable. My husband and friend likes the latte (no foam). My best friend LOVES the London Fog. I have tried Hot Chocolate, mocha chiller, and the hazelnut iced drink. All are fantastic. We only go on weekends, but are told they are crazy busy during morning drive time. We also have been to Castle Rock location and love it too for same reasons. A nice spot after a trip to the medical center, doctor's office nearby, or after visiting the outlets. read more

The coffee was phenomenal and their bacon breakfast burrito was the best. The ordering was easy but the music was a bit too loud that I couldn't hear the cashier. Still love the coffee and the staff are truly the most happy people who make a point to remember you and ask how you're doing! However, I have to take off a star. After visiting a few times and deciding to do some studying inside while I enjoy my latte, I have come to two sad conclusions: There are 2 maybe three outlets in this entire place. This is kinda ridiculous to me and especially odd given how much seating is inside- this place is a huge and would be at the top of my list for places to work/study but the lack of outlets makes that unlikely. If anyone who can make changes sees this: PLEASE purchase those outlet tables! My other issue is with the chairs- because there are so few outlets, most recently my friends and I sat at one of the high top tables. Those chairs are truly the most uncomfortable chairs I've ever sat on- I have bruises on my legs because of the way the sides of the chair dig in to you at an awkward angle. I don't think I've ever complained about a chair in my life but these were truly horribles Between these two things it's almost like they don't want anyone to stay here and drink their coffee/eat.
