If could, would give 0 stars. I've never been to a Black Rock before and been treated this badly all because they're not willing to accommodate both lines. They will run the drive-through line outside to only one line and leave the other line to wait for 20 minutes as there's cars passing by on the other side. I would not go to the Black Rock at all. I would go to the ones on 82nd. They know how to treat their people much better. This Black Rock needs to figure out how to get their things in order. I don't give reviews, but I was very disappointed in this Black Rock I will never ever be coming back to that Black Rock again and I'm a usual for my coffee. read more

I guess I'm paying seven dollars for just ice... if you ask for a medium, it's literally just more ice and anytime I ask for less ice they're trying to charge me. It's kind of ridiculous. I think this is the only Black Rock that is super slow and has a stick up there. You know what because I shouldn't be having to pay seven dollars for a drink that's literally more than 60% ice. Going to this place makes me late for work anytime they mess up my drink. They don't fix it. I don't know the manager needs to get fired she's rude and just hates her job or something . There was an employee working at 2:00 PM on 12/5/2025 (blonde hair in a bun, wearing a black sweatshirt) who was extremely rude to us during our visit. From the moment we got to the window, she seemed visibly frustrated, refused to make eye contact, and seemed irritated that we were ordering. When we gave our phone numbers for rewards, she reacted with noticeable annoyance. She said, "I can't hear that," in a harsh tone, despite us speaking clearly. When my friend provided her number, the employee abruptly responded, "What is it?" in an irritated voice. When I ordered, she snapped, "A sugar-free what? I can't hear you," again in an unnecessarily rude tone. She also slammed the window shut after completing our order, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. Let's "praise" one of the managers at this location. Hannah is a fiercely hard worker! She is creative and thinks outside the box. If that's what it takes to be a manager here then kudos! She cleverly tricked one of her and employees into getting write ups so she could fire them. Gave rules and then changed them. Gave write ups for bad reviews left whether that employee had anything to do with it or not . Approved shift swapping then changed it. Great management "mean girl" behavior! I was hesitant to try this location based on previous reviews but it's within walking distance for me so I decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did. It was my first time trying Black Rock Coffee and went with a blended caramel truffle, my husband tried a blended blackout. Drinks were delicious and perfect amount of caffeine. Customer service was excellent, the young man who took our order chatted with us while our drinks were being made. Will definitely be back! read more

Usually, the customer service is good. For some reason this evening the gal waiting on me tonight, January 7th at 4:30pm complained about me to the other employee. She said that I kept saying something I did not say. I just wanted creme in my drink not whip cream which she complained that I said with cream several times while thinking I was saying whip cream. If your going to complain about a customer at least have some class gal and talk about them after they leave. I don't want to come back. read more

I go here all the time but today when I got home my daughter spilled my extra large macchiato all over the carpet. Tragic! After shampooing the coffee puddle I headed back to hopefully get a replacement. This was no problem with Dutch Bros when it happened several years ago and I've heard of Starbucks accommodating situations like this as well. But the barista smiled and told me there was nothing she could do when I explained what happened. My new puppy and I were strolling along, trying to get the little guy used to walking along roads with busy traffic (he wanted to just stop and watch all day) so we stopped at Black Rock so I could at least enjoy a coffee while we puttered along at 1mph. The women at the counter were so friendly and understood my slowness. I had never been here before, so she helped me decide on what to get, then ended it by giving my pup a treat! I love the people and the coffee but have always noticed lots of bees flying around. Not an issue until today. I got my coffee, went home and started drinking it. About half way done, I noticed something swishing around in my mouth. I reach in and pull out a dead bee!!! I am so grossed out I literally puked out my coffee. I hope they start paying more attention to the flying insects in their bar...absolute yuck. UPDATE: I went back and showed them the pic. They were extremely sorry for not catching that, replaced my coffee and gave me a voucher for another free one later on. The people are pretty nice there, however the lady making my drink tried to push the ice down with her fingers which I found pretty gross, especially during these times. When I went to take a drink of my fuel, it was very flat. I was a little dissapointed because I had waited for quite awhile and could not go back cause it was very busy and the walk up was closed. Ugh I just love this place!! Seriously! I recently moved from Las Vegas to Happy Valley and I'm so happy to have found my go to coffee spot. First, the girls are absolute GEMS! Everyone here is so nice and even though it's a quick order and go, they always take the time to ask about my day and spark a quick lil convo. And second, the coffee is freaking amazing!! So much better than any other coffee bar I've ever been to. This is the worst black rock I've been to. It's like an entirely different franchise. Staff here are rude. I came to get a gummy bear rockstar. Mind you, white chocolate doesn't come in a gummybear. It tasted terrible and when I realized, I came right back. The awful blonde at the counter informed me "that's the way we make it here. If you want another one without white chocolate, you're going to have to pay for another one" I can't believe how rude she was. This is the worst black rock. They make your coffee cold and when you say something about it they say "well you must just like your coffee extra hot so ask for it next time." Then when you do ask for it extra hot, it's still only warm and you can instantly chug the coffee. There are no longer any kind workers there. The manager does not care about complaints. If you complain to anyone they will just blame it on you or roll their eyes and walk away. I'm serious about the rolling eyes and walking away. This has happened twice. They don't wear any name tags so you can't tell anyone who does what. They also never stir your coffee so you have to do it yourself. And that's a really hard thing to do while driving. At least you don't have to worry about spilling it while your stirring it because you won't get burnt since your coffee is always cold. I went there today for the last time. My coffee again was cold, not stirred and the girl thought that just because I ordered a strawberry smoothie for my child, that I wouldn't notice she put hardly any strawberry in it. I then tasted it and it was basically just blended ice with no flavor. if I could rate this place with 0 stars I absolutely would. read more
