I was having the worst couple of days. I tried to redeem my points, which I had nothing but trouble with (sorry guys but your app is super glitchy) and the barista completely made my day. She was so kind and thoughtful and helped me out so much. Have been in Oregon for almost 5 years, and FINALLY stopped in at Black Rock! So glad I finally did. It was fabulous!! Got the Caramel Blondie, hot , with extra sweetener. I told the girl there that I didn't want it piping hot . She made it PERFECTLY! I only got a small one, and am wishing I would have gotten a bigger one now. I come here almost seven days a week. I know, I know, I could save a lot of money making my drinks at home. But the folks that work here are always super friendly, smiling, and the service is QUICK! Makes my morning routine start off with positive vibes. (don't we all need positive vibes these days?) Coming up here from LA I never expected so many small coffee spots to be available, nor did I expect the quality or speed with which Black Rock's shops always serve. The drinks are always made perfectly, perfect temperature for either milk or plant-based milk bases, and the price is just right. Stopped by black rock coffee bar, early on a small road trip. The shop had just opened, one car ahead of us. The barista was kind, pleasant and professional. We waited a very short time before our 2 beverages were ready. Medium mocha with an add shot and a small decaf white mocha. Both were a perfect temperature and were delicious. Baristas have always been friendly and helpful. The coffee itself runs on the sweeter side in my opinion, so if you're not a fan of super sweet drinks, I would ask for half-flavoring, especially for any sort of blended drink. You can pretty much get any drink hot, iced, or blended. Also brick-and-mortor stores have a selection of baked goods if you need a quick bite their scones are pretty good. I wish their rewards program was a bit more straightforward though, it's confusing to me. read more

I wasn't sure what to think. "Black Rock?" I don't mind the "black" part, but the last thing I want to think of when drinking coffee is a hard, jagged "rock." So... I and my fellow coffee-drinker put off the Black Rock Coffee Bar for as long as we could. Pretty soon, our curiosity got the best of us. I've only been there once. I liked the simplicity of their menu. Sean had a hot mocha, and I had a blended chai tea. Now about blended chais: I have rarely had one I really liked. This was an exception. It was sweet, but not too sweet. I was impressed. Sean was impressed too, (as I'm sure he'll let you know). Good spot for a hot cup-o-joe. I'll keep ya'll updated if change my mind. read more

Sometimes, we find that our tastes change and improve with age. We mature, get out in the world a bit more, and become so much more savvy. We start adulting so hard that we pompously look back (and down) at our younger selves and cackle at our naïveté. It's been 4.5 years since I wrote a fangirling review for Black Rock in Medford. I have spent almost all of that time living back up in Portland, where Black Rocks abound (along with many other coffee stands and shops, ranging from creepy to hipster to hoity-toity). My tastes could have easily changed; yet, as our family returns to our roots here in Medford, I can't help but be proud of the best coffee stand out there. Black Rock coffee (and baristas) are still amazing, and I am still in disbelief that there was only one Black Rock stand in Medford for so many years. (So glad they are finally opening another one, if only because it means there is enough demand to keep them in business here!) I feel it's been my life mission to show people the "light" that is Black Rock Coffee, and I have been successful - because once you have coffee and customer service from Black Rock, there really is no going back. read more

Black Rock coffee bars are all over Oregon. They are very popular here! My daughter loves the rockstar drinks! They are full of sugar and so sweet. yeah, yeah, such a bad mom, but it's her reward, so I'll shell out a couple of bucks for an energy drink here rather than buy one at the grocery star. 4 stars for the rockstar drinks and good service, but the coffees are not my favorite, just personal taste. read more

The blended drinks are amazing! The caramel blondie is my favourite, and I'm almost ready to admit is has eclipsed my Organic Grind Caramel Haze Mocha as my favourite coffee shop drink. Some of their drinks tend to be a little weak, I will say. Especially when iced. The service here is not so great. I've literally never driven away thinking "they were nice." Young, cliquey, stuck up staff that are a lot like Dutch Bros' but without even the fake friendliness. Usually no line, which is nice. Definitely a good place to grab a coffee before work. Gotta love double punch card Tuesdays, too. read more

Recently my boyfriend has been pushing me to try black rock. We drive by this stand daily and finally decided to try it. I really like their drinks. Not a huge fan of their prices. Especially since the service is just okay. Since our first time coming through, we have gone through this stand about 8 times. Every time we got a different employee and none of them had good customer service. There was no smile, no how are you today, nothing more then a "what can I get you". I love going to a coffee stand, and talking with the people working because they make their job seem enjoyable and fun. If they had better attitudes they would make a lot more tips. read more

Best coffee in Medford! We've tried a lot of Medford coffee places and they are the best!

It is similar in substance and service to another well known Oregon based Drive Thru coffee chain, but that doesn't make it any less good. I grabbed a mocha the morning we left the hotel across the street and we were in and out quickly with great service that wasn't overly friendly. If I'm back this way again, I'll stop by and grab a mocha! read more

Love, love, love, Black Rock Coffee, the only downfall is there is not one located on the south side of Medford. My husband and I will literally drive across town just for their coffee.
