Driving along the 5 and needed liquid snack so stopped by for a Match latte(rated good by a connoisseur), tasty iced hot chocolate(not a connoisseur), American was rated highly by coffee connoisseur. Haven't been here in 4 years but I had to stop by like I used to most mornings. Customer service is really good, the coffee is way better than Dutch Bros. The baristas were chill and nice. Family and I were passing through and stopped here for some coffee. Convenient as it is just a tiny drive thru! We wanted to try something new that wasn't a Dutch Bros so we took our chances here. I ordered a Cold Foam Cold Brew, 4/5 - the foam was thinner than I'd prefer but still yum! Brother ordered a Frozen Hot Chocolate which was very good and my Mom ordered an Irish Creme Breve which she enjoyed as well. The service was great and they were kind when taking our order. Nice spot, clean as far as a drive through goes and good service. If we're ever around another Human Bean we'll definitely stop by! read more

This is a perfect Human Bean: short lines, friendly service, good coffee. I opted for the cappuccino, less dry (less foam) and the serving was perfect, and also kept me alert for the 6-hour drive ahead of me. Extra A+ for that nice little sweet chocolate they gave. Well, being in our high top Mercedes Benz sprinter van we were very excited to fit in the drive through! Yay! Ok coffee was good, baristas were friendly. We stopped quickly on our way out of town. They had a lot of other options that were blended and probably in the sweeter side. I kept with my tried and true latte, it did not disappoint. Really sad! This USED to be our go-to coffee place any time we were in Ashland... not any more. Our most recent trip I ordered my usual. We paid and drove into town. When I tried the drink, it was nothing like what it should taste like. It was so bad that we drove back out to see if it was just a mistake. The barista was pleasant and confirmed what I had ordered and assured me that was what she made. She did remake the drink right in front of us but again, it tasted awful. Had to get a refund. Not sure what has changed here, but I will NOT be going back again. Service is fine, but not a good coffee. Sad to lose what used to be a great coffee stop. read more

This little drive-thru has great coffee, and it's the only place to get coffee in Ashland after 4:00 p.m. The baristas are a little sharper than average, good conversationalists but quick and efficient. This is a regular stop for me when I come through town. read more

Just want to say how disappointing human bean has become. I hate the dumb app that's required! The service has gone downhill. The only reason I stopped there today is a craving for a bean with my coffee and I didn't even get one! Thankfully there are lots of other choices for where to get my coffee these days. read more

May seem trivial but the Ashland location no longer tops the drink with enough whip cream. They used to use a nice amount atop a green tea smoothie but now they use a flat lid rather than a dome lid. The barista told me they are abiding by oregon health code and don't use done lids any longer. Guess I will get my drinks at alternate locations as others still offer the dome lid. I always order green tea smoothie with five shots. A ten dollar drink daily and cannot get more than a teaspoon of whip cream at the Ashland location. read more

Very nice baristas and quick service, but a bland tasting coffee bean is being used for their lattes and mochas.

Good drive-through coffee and yummy accompaniment treats. Their bran muffins can almost make you feel you've eaten something healthy for breakfast (we are not going to discuss carbs or fat content, thank you very much). Plus, if you like them, your coffee always comes with a cute little chocolate-covered espresso bean balanced neatly on top of the lid. I'd personally rather chew gooey gravel, but it seems I'm in the minority. My brother Wes is positively addicted to their Caramel Milky Way Granitas. He gets them with extra espresso shots and a massive quantity of whipped creme, and if he could he'd have two a day. I'm honestly surprised he ever sleeps. ;-) read more

Yuck. The coffee tasted nasty - don't know what they use, but it's bitter. No flavoring in either my husband's latte or mine. Service was fast and they were very nice. My husband said it tasted like a dirty dishrag - I wouldn't go quite that far, but for close to ten dollars it was a waste. read more

When I went to high school in Arizona, there was a Human Bean on the way to my school. Almost every morning during my sophomore year, I'd stop there and get a mate latte. Unfortunately, that franchise shut down and was replaced by a Dunkin' Donuts (the fate that most non-Starbucks coffee shops see in Arizona). Since then, I'd been deprived of the deliciousness of mate lattes and chocolate-covered espresso beans. Until I started yelping in preparation for my trip to Ashland, and I discovered that the Human Bean lives on in Oregon! So, I got my fix after about three years and it was delicious! read more

Their coffee is definitely some of the best around and they use top notch ingredients in their lattes. I would recommend them to anyone.

Right off of 99, if you are headed South can be a bit tricky to get into you have to cross two lanes of often busy traffic, but the friendliness and awesome customer service make it worth it. It's is a bit of a detour off the freeway, but again the friendliness and customer service, and pay it forward attitude are worth it. Coffee is good and they offer small snacks, prices have gone up a bit but with inflation the cost of business has gone up, I don't feel gouged. So now that the general stuff is out of the way..... I rolled in there today and ordered a med. latte with an extra shot, hot, my usual order and it was ready in about thirty seconds, super because I was running late for a VA appointment, when I went to pay I realized I was Sans wallet and was highly embarrassed, preparing to go the very nice barista told me not to worry about it this time and to be sure to pay it forward. I used to be a huge fan of this stand and this business, but recently it has definitely gone downhill! This most recent time I saw a squished rat on the driveway right by the window, and there are flies all over in the stand. Looks dirty, service is mediocre...Their old manager was so sweet and amazing and I really got to know her and the other girls that worked the mornings. It was so nice to have a relationship with them and they were such sweet people. Now the girls there are ditzy and seem like they think they are the best thing since sliced bread. Coffee is ok, overpriced for how weak and sickening sweet everything is. If you want a good coffee and have time to stop, there are much better spots in Ashland to get a real cup of coffee. Otherwise, I really like Organic Grind in Talent. Smaller, local, organic and it tastes better! Disappointed in how the business seems to be run nowadays. Will definitely spending my money elsewhere from now on. read more
