A coffee roaster that doesn't offer cappuccinos? Unheard of! And bakery wrapped in plastic wrap? We walked in and walked out.

Ordered my coffee on Wednesday around 4:30. Right after some guy walks in and the worker asked if he is getting his regular. He said yes. So she puts my order aside to get his order. Really wanted to ask for my tip back. That's why it's important that they don't ask for tips before service is done. read more

Well I know it's hard to find good help right now but the girl who worked today @ 3:35 on Tuesday the 20th definitely doesn't care about her job... I walked up to the register and she was filling up a container with hot water I looked at her and smiled she looked right at me and then just totally ignored me... she never said "hi I'll be right with you" she just kept on and acted line I was not there... after she finished filling up she walked off then came back and came to the register and simply said What can I get you I got my drink and I have been going here for years so sad and so rude The green tea is great read more

I want to support this place but I cannot. I got a hot Americano this morning. My coffee had an overwhelmingly burnt flavor and was basically undrinkable. Customer service was good though. So overall, they serve really bad coffee with a smile. read more

I want to like this place - they are close to where I live and I enjoy having a "spot" to go to on Saturday mornings. However, I've tried them several times and each time I regret it. I leave feeling like I just did something wrong for walking into their shop. The only people I've seen them treat in a friendly, warm manner are well dressed men. Coffee is decent, food selection depends on the day and time of day. It is a nice space with plenty of seating options. read more

Beautiful place. Appeared inviting. Service was poor at best. What happened: Instead of stopping by Human Bean, I decided to try Mellelo Coffee Roasters this morning. When I got the a lady has just got her drink. She was chatting with the barista, good. But the chat continued, and I was not greeted or acknowledged. Finally, the lady's left. I made my order. The barista walked over to the cash register, and stated 'we take orders over here.' Okay, I walked over there. I ordered my drink and waited. There was nobody else there. She made the drink and walked over to the other end of the bar, set the drink down, and walked away. I had to walk around the bar to get my drink. No thank you, come again ... nothing! If you want to pay more for a coffee drink, and be treated like an inconvenience, I encourage you to go to Mellelo Coffee Roasters. read more

This dancing elephant crushes a tasteful chai tea latte but topples a bit on dietary options and presenting itself as a luxury cafe. Digs: With tall ceilings greeting you like a coliseum, you begin to feel spoiled or flattered with the surroundings - I did; I looked closer and items seem to disorient and clash from a designer's perspective on photo choices to menu/ bag layouts; the issue that turns me snobby is when a coffee shop presents itself as a higher experience then Starbucks (the foundation of artistic middle-class coffee consumerism); again I have no idea what I'm talking about concerning coffee but I felt if they want to be "high-and-mighty" then get it right; Seattle/ Portland/ Eugene have the focus of coffee shops that don't need to push their elegance on a customer; if you give them an awesome brew and a shop personality then they will return; chairs/ tables ready for use and Christmas music blaring to fill our hearts with boastful cheer; Drank: Chai Tea Latte - (warm sippin' delight): sadly they did not have or supply the drink with almond milk, which would have pleased my dear companion when she needed that fix that would not upset her system quite as badly; Service: The front desk barista seemed disconnected and less charming to us as brand new patrons; Overall: With Limestone Coffee just down the road I don't understand why someone would continue down to take part in Mellelo's establishment. They both have premium prices and other coffee havens just present a better customer service i.e. Dutch Brothers or Human Bean when it comes to caffeinated addictions. If you're in business proximity to it that would be the only reason to linger further. read more

Decent medium/dark roasted coffee, pretty good options for food and pastries. It's kind of hit and miss though. Some baristas here really know their stuff and some not as much. They know their stuff with Classic Italian espresso drinks so I would opt for that rather than one of the big sugary options unless that's your thing. The employee named Cody was nice enough to explain a lot to me and answer my questions. I will come back. read more

My favorite baristas are gone (the staff seems to change regularly). The decaf coffee is never ready and, if it is, it's lukewarm. The food is eh. The Americanos are watery. They only have half & half out so if I want milk instead I have to ask the baristas for it, which seems like a hassle for them, and is sort of annoying to me. While the people working are nice and I feel bad saying this, I would never go to Mellellos if it wasn't close to my office. read more

While I go to the location behind Costco, I will say that the coffee at Mellelo's is the best in the valley. The roaster never burns the been, yet gets the best flavor from the been for the type of roast. Excellant coffee!!! read more

Try the Cafe Borgia @less sweet. Imported Italian Roast, Expresso shakes, Natural Simple Smoothies, Blended Granitas. Also, offering a variety of natural water processed decaf bean selections. Plus, good ice cream-- All in a rare cleaner corner sit down Medford location across from a park (most coffee shops around here offer good coffee, but either drive through's or a divey/seedy feel inside). read more

Pretty decent coffee although it's slightly overpriced. The guy who rang me up was nice enough, but the other dude who made my iced latte was lacking in basic coffee house etiquette. He was having a conversation with his cute co-worker and never called out that my drink was ready. I looked over at him to see what was up and saw him breaking down boxes and cleaning the half and half station never missing a beat in his flirtation. I wandered over to the counter, and sure enough, there was my order. It won't kill your game to call out when a drink is ready. I don't blame you -- she was pretty! But come on, take two seconds to let a paying customer know their order is ready. read more

In my family we have levels of coffee drive-thru places. (Oh, I've been in the location behind Costco a couple of times, it's a good place to meet up with people, but I mainly drive thru it.) Mellelo Coffee Roasters is at the top! The Granitas are so good! There was one problem once, and the owner rectified it right away. read more

As much as I love the espresso madness shakes that they make, regrettably I'm going to stop going there. The owner has really taken advantage of his clientele by raising his prices beyond what's a reasonable price. Not only are the shakes now $6.10 (vs $4.50 when I first started getting them) but I just heard it's going up even more. To make matters worse, he's now charging .50cents for an extra empty cup (also going up soon in price, which used to be free). and just recently instead of putting some of the shake in a smaller cup while giving me the bigger cup like they used to do, they now insist on using two kiddy cups if you want to split any of the drink to share with your family (hence now getting less of a milkshake altogether for higher price ). I love taking my daughter here and sharing a little bit of my shake with her but do not think it is worth $7.10 (soon going up) in now two kiddy cups just to do so. On top of that there is a very high turn over rate making the quality of the drinks inconsistent. I'm very disappointed. read more

This is a great coffee shop. Medford has too many drive-thru stands. Its something refreshing to be able to go sit and drink your coffee and relax. read more
