Homeowners, beware: My experience with KCS has been deeply disappointing!…read more I was taken advantage of and misled by this company, specifically by my salesman, Brad Messer, and ultimately by the company leadership. When I first contacted KCS, they presented themselves as an upstanding company that cared about its customers. Brad assured me that installing foundation piers would fix the interior structural movement I was experiencing--specifically cracks in my walls, sticking doors, and floor movement. I trusted their recommendation and paid them nearly $20,000 of my life savings. However, after the work was completed, the exact same issues continued. In fact, they worsened. When I raised concerns, the response I received completely shifted: all of a sudden I didn't exist to them. I was and continue to be ghosted. Only after additional inspections did it become clear that the real problem was slab settlement--an issue their company does not fix, but one they should have identified from the beginning. Instead of admitting their mistake and helping to resolve it, KCS chose to walk away, leaving me with the same problem I hired them to fix--plus thousands of dollars in new damage. Today, because of their actions: - I still cannot finish my master bathroom project, which has been on hold for over a year. The WHOLE reason I called them to begin with. - I am forced to pursue legal action to recover my losses. - I am left without the home improvements I planned, after losing my savings to a misdiagnosis they refuse to take responsibility for. The real fix I needed was not even half of what I paid them. I would urge anyone considering this company to be extremely cautious. - Get multiple opinions before agreeing to any work with them. - Do not accept verbal promises without written guarantees. - If you work with KCS, I specifically warn against dealing with Brad Messer, who in my experience shaped the diagnosis to match the services they sell, not the actual problems your home might have. And once the commissions runs dry, you won't be a friend anymore, trust that!! Sadly, KCS has shown that when they make a mistake that would cost them money to fix, they choose to abandon the customer rather than do the right thing. Their character is revealed not when things are easy, but when they are challenged--and they failed that test with me. If you're a homeowner who has had a similar experience with KCS, feel free to connect with me. We deserve to be treated fairly and have our voices heard.

Can't recommend Ted and 502 Construction enough!…read more In fact, I have given his info to two people so far and will likely be sharing it even more in the future. I reached out to 502 Construction via Yelp, and Ted, the owner, responded directly to me and came out to look at our issue firsthand before giving us a quote. It meant so much to be able to talk to him about this from the start. The stone facade on a back wall in our garden had fallen off, due to water getting behind the stone and freezing. We also wanted to add a brick topper to that wall, to match the wall on the other side of our back yard, and we wanted a metal railing added to the length to prevent anyone from falling off the side of the wall, which abuts our parking pad. Ted's bid was fair, and when he started the work, he was at our house everyday (excluding a couple of days due to bad weather) until it was complete. He was communicative and receptive throughout. And his work more than met our expectations. He had to individually measure and cut maybe 100 bricks so that the topper would work with the incline of the wall. He went a couple of places to find brick that would match brick we already had at our house, and he cut and welded the railing on site. We still need to paint the railing, but it is night and day better compared to what it was. (I will be sure to add before-and-after photos once it is 100% complete.) Ted is going on our list of contractors to have handy and to recommend to all who will listen.

Responded well, a rep. Came to the location and provided a quick quote for the job to be done.read more
