To the point of steaming when we put them on the fire... my partner called and texted about the quality - Bob's did not return his calls or texts. I called from another number, they did answer and then confirmed giving us a refund but never showed up on the day we scheduled. We are just going to keep the wood and season it ourselves at this point, it has been a huge hassle and not worth the premium we paid for the wood. We have since found another supplier that barn seasons the wood. They did show up and stack the wood nicely. Could be a great supplier for wood for next season if you have a covered place to store.

The driver told me he was going to dump the load and I would have to stack it. Or it would be an extra $40 to stack it. Then when I told him to leave, he said he would stack it for $25. I told him that wasn't what I had agreed to. I had agreed to pay $100 for seasoned wood, delivered and stacked. Out of frustration he stacked it anyway with me helping on the truck. This wood should be ready to burn by next Christmas. Do NOT trust this company!

If he hadn't dropped the load off in my driveway, in the dark, before I got home from work, I would have told him to take a hike. Still should have but it was $100 well spent to get him off my property. There are people in this fine city that depend on firewood for heat; this guy would have no problem taking your money and leaving you in the cold.

My partner is a hardworking minority man who showed up and gave his full effort--working long hours in 98-degree heat to fulfill the job requirements as agreed upon. Not only was he underpaid for the labor he completed, but he was also told that his payment would be delayed until the following week, despite being clearly informed that he would be paid on Friday. That was the agreement, and for a working man with a family to support, that delay and lack of respect is more than just an inconvenience--it's disheartening and unjust. To treat any worker this way--especially someone who honored their end of the deal in extreme conditions--is unprofessional and exploitative. People deserve fair pay for fair work, and no one should be left waiting or wondering if they'll be compensated properly, especially after enduring such conditions. This experience reflects a serious lack of integrity and accountability that no company should tolerate. I sincerely hope that leadership and other partners considering working with this company take a hard look at how workers, especially minority employees, are being treated--because this is not just about money, it's about fairness, dignity, and basic human decency. They would have taken the wood, but we asked that they leave it and they cut it to firewood length for us. They trimmed the low branches from another tree in our yard. The price was very competitive and I would recommend them wholeheartedly.
