We made our way to the counter to place our order, and the staff member was very helpful once we mentioned it was our first time. He walked us through the menu and even pointed out different dishes and combo options on their digital signage display menu, which made ordering much easier. We placed our order to go and waited inside. It's a small space, but it's decorated with unique art and has a really unique vibe. There was a hypnotic Indian song playing in the background, which added to the atmosphere. We sat at a table that had a game on it--I believe it was called Carrom, a tabletop game where you flick checker-sized discs into corner pockets, similar to a mini pool table. A woman who I assume was the owner or manager came out from the back and greeted us. While we waited, she showed us how to play the game. As we were playing, she came back and even offered us samples of the food we had ordered. I was honestly impressed by the level of hospitality--it's not something you experience very often. The sample alone was some of the best Indian food I've had. The spices were perfectly balanced for my taste, and it made me even more excited to get home and dig into our full meal. Don't let this deter you from dining in if you have the time. You can play a traditional Indian game on one of the tables while you wait or chat with the staff or other customers. The menu isn't as expansive as some other Indian restaurants in town, but it really doesn't need to be. So far, everything I've tried has been delicious and the combination menu's value cannot be beat. This lets you try out multiple things on the menu all at once. In each dish, you really can taste the love and care that the chef has put into the food and if you get a chance, ask her about how much thought has gone into even the ingredients being used.
