I want to update my review after trying the buffet. I would like to give more stars or some kind of bonus for the buffet because it was excellent. We arrived at 11 am and had the freshest food... only miss was not having the chicken tempura served on a sizzling hot plate like the other night. However, having all the rest as a selection more than made up for that. The mushrooms in sauce was the highlight as my companion and I agreed. Our water was refilled with consistent diligence. I felt more attention than most waiters at normal table service... let alone at a buffet. The only question is are they adding heater to the restroom. Our server was wonderful and that matches the food! We ordered samosas chaat and tandoori chicken wings as appetizers. Boy were they tasty! Mild spices in samosas and accompanying chickpeas. Chicken was delicious! I ordered chicken vindaloo and my boyfriend ordered lamb vindaloo which both were delicious and about a 6 of 10 on my spicyness gauge. Short on time for office lunch? Buffet is way to go with minimal to no wait time for food on your plate. This Indian restaurant has the regulars: grilled chicken, butter chicken, spicy meatballs, a multitude of curries, and vegetarian options for your rice and nan. Buffet is only served on Thursdays and Fridays during lunch hours. Plenty of parking space. Service is quick. Ambiance is of ethnic decor and so is the music. Food isn't too spicy but it's flavorful. I've been a patron since they were located by the airport. The food is far superior from what I can remember and this new location is easy to access. BEST INDIAN FOOD WE'VE EVER HAD!! We were from out of town and staying at the Motel 6 next door, and decided to try this place because it was convenient. What a wonderful decision! My husband and I are vegetarians and India Palace has many vegetarian dishes on their menu. The vegetables were crisp and fresh, and the seasoning was perfect - just spicy enough to make things interesting, with a nice balance of other flavors too. Expected a buffet (that's what the signs say) but they now have a lunch menu instead (see photo). Buffet is on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only. We went with Tandori Chicken and Chicken Tikka Marsala. They started us off with some spicy vegetable soup. Not expecting it, but it was quite good. My Tikka Marsala was delightful. Very tasty with tender chunks of chicken. There could have been more chicken pieces in it, but with the increasing cost of breasts I guess they had to cut back somewhere. The Tandori was 6 drumsticks on a bed of grilled onions and peppers. The meat was about average tasting - nothing wrong with it, just not exceptional. The onions and peppers were soft and detectible. When craving Indian buffet I definitely recommend that you try this place out but make sure you go during busy hours since the food get replenish quicker so it will taste fresher. The same chef is no longer cooking at this restaurant and you can tell upon tasting the chicken tikka masala, which is my favorite dish. One of my old standbys for Indian food in St. Louis. Friendly and efficient service, adaptations for guests who have problems with highly spiced foods and a very large selection on the menu. Having travelled to India a number of times, I am happy to say that this establishment's cuisine is authentically prepared and served. A last minute find while searching for Indian. What an absolute gem of a restaurant. Greeted right when i walked in the door. Good Korma how you like it is hard to find. Well to my surprise I struck Korma gold here. The Korma here is absolutely amazing. Creamy as creamy can be. Hands down some of the best Korma ive had on my travels. I always enjoyed the buffet at India Palace. They have a great selection and it was always good and fresh. The space is clean and they do a great job on cleaning for tables. I don't know what they have done during COVID, but the many times I visited beforeCOVID everything was great. The buffet was always refilled consistently and all the dishes were fresh and appetizing. They seat you quickly and check you out quickly so they did a brisk lunch business because of how quickly you can get in and out. When I am in the area I always choose this restaurant for Indian food. It has never disappointed. When I worked in the area I at least went here over 10 times. Great food! Came with a friend last week to catch up over dinner. I used to work near India Palace but had never dined there so I was looking forward to our dinner. We arrived around 6pm. As soon as we opened the door to step inside, it was a bunch of tables with kids running around and adults clamoring. I could not immediately tell who worked there or not. So we waited while people in this what seems like a party forming stare at us like we are weird or wrong for coming in for dinner. Finally someone in a green shirt comes from behind the kitchen to greet us and take us to a table that's on the other side of the wall of this party that's forming. He sits us down, mumbles and walks away. After a few minutes, he passes us a menu each. My friend and I haven't seen each other in awhile so we were catching up while perusing the menu. I didn't want to be basic and get chicken tikka misala so I chose butter chicken since I've seen it pop up on Instagram a lot for people making it at home. It was maybe 5 mins that had passed after we stared at workers working near us setting up instead of asking for our drink orders. It was like we were invisible so we are both making eye contact for someone to notice us. Finally a guy comes over and takes our drink orders (mango lassi and waters) and brings them back promptly putting them down and walking away. Maybe another 5 minutes passes before he asks us what we want. We tell him and he questions everything like we should be sharing our appetizer and entree which actually got to be quite annoying. He takes our orders back to the kitchen. Moments later he returns asking if we are sharing our butter chicken (both of us ordered the same entre) or if it's separate. My friend answers for us because I'm a bit annoyed now. We had onion and spinach pakora, garlic naan and rocket naan. Our butter chicken and rice come out. It smells so good and tastes amazing! We had also ordered pickles but that never came out. We had to ask our waiter about it but I wish we hadn't because it was the most salty bitter tasting pickle I ever had in my entire life. I could only taste a small corner before I was completely disgusted. We also orderd Gulab Jamun as a dessert to go. We had to battle the noise of what ended up being a surprise birthday party all night and we ended up overstaying our time there because at 9:30pm, they kicked us out because they closed at 9pm and we were just catching up so much we didn't even notice. I would rate the food a 5 and service a 2. I wish they were more friendly towards us and more attentive. I guess the birthday party overwhelmed them or something :-/ read more

This is our new favorite restaurant. Authentic and delicious Indian food when you're craving it. I enjoy the chicken tikka and rice is so good. Yesterday was Holi so we decided to stop over at India Palace. We've been there previously with a group, it's a great place to take friends and introduce them to Indian food with a decent atmosphere. It's very open and airy, especially now they have about 50% less seating due to social distancing. Otherwise, it's clean and fairly quick and you will not leave hungry. We arrived on the Sunday night about 530pm which was perfect - it started filling up after that. This time we had: Goat Saag - the popular spinach dish. I love goat, it's very delicious and tender and it usually comes with the bones so be prepared. Shrimp Korma - it was creamy and smooth, with shrimp. I have had some that are a little more grainier as it's made with cashews but the sauce is very smooth here but flavorful. Egg bhurji - our first time having this, basically an egg and vegetable scramble with vegetables and Indian seasonings - SO GOOD. A great option for a lacto-ovo vegetarian. We also enjoyed masala chai which I love, but I prefer it unsweetened and they had the sugar already in it, not a big deal. It wasn't overly sweet. We had a great meal - Indian spices like cardamom make me feel so warm and good and happy. The staff was nice and quick to keep the waters filled. We are moving across the river to Illinois but I think we will make this a monthly event. read more

First off, the service was amazing! I got carry out, and it was only 20 minutes. The sauces are delish, I got the Vegetable Panora, and in the red sauce, DELISH! Tiki Masala, on point.
