Spent the morning at SSA around the corner and was hankering for something good to eat. Popped in and was immediately impressed by the casual decor and overall good vibe. We took a seat and were quickly greeted and presented with menus. My partner and I both ordered the Blackened Catfish Rice Bowl. I know, we broke rule #1 by ordering the same item in a new restaurant! Prompt arrival, great presentation, dynamite flavor on the Catfish but... the rice combo it topped was dry and rather bland. We added the fresh salsa that came with plus hot sauce from the table but just couldn't get the right flavor and moisture content that a bowl should have. Asked the waiter for some additional sauce/salsa and got more of the same which helped some. We ate the fish, left the rest, manager came to our table and inquired quite nicely if there was anything he could do, then surprised us by comping one of the meals when we hadn't asked them to do so. We all have a day off now and then. This experience would neither deter me from returning, nor deny this establishment the 4-star review it deserves. read more

They do have a happy hour menu from 3-6pm Didn't have a chance to taste desserts, maybe next time. They looked amazing. I called in the order Dijon chicken sandwich with fries for a pick up. Customer service was great on the phone and in person. The fries were superb thick homemade I wish there was more in my Togo box! The sandwich, which could have passed for a chicken cordon Bleu, was lacking the Dijon. Don't get me wrong. It was a hearty meal. Just wish it had more sauce like mayo or ranch or Dijon because it was a bit dry (reason for only 4 stars). I would order the same meal again with extra Dijon in the side. Give it a try! read more

My first time eating here was pretty underwhelming. The restaurant is very small and I felt kinda cramped with the lack of space between tables. I ordered a Greek scramble, but there was very little egg in there and hoards of potatoes piled on top. The little egg in there was over cooked to include the gyro meat. The food took about 30-40 minutes to get out to us, and it really wasn't all that busy. There is a waitress there that's super overbearing and over the top. It's like she's doing the most to get fired or to be edgy. I think she needs to do a better job at reading the customer she's serving. Definitely better ways to be more personable and less awkward. She would make alot of off handed and unnecessary comments. Overall, i wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Though the pricing is fair, it's not anything special that you couldn't find elsewhere. Also, it's not a good combination when the food is mediocre and the person serving you is trying too hard to be edgy. Will not return. Just all around awkward. read more

Had a really good Sunday breakfast here with my family. Easy to find with good parking. It is a fairly small space but we were greeted and seated fast. The breakfast menu is small with seasonal rotating offerings. I had the waffle with two slices of delicious bacon. We also tried the homemade corn beef hash. Funky little cafe right on the road in a small strip mall-ish. Two-sided menu with Americana style breakfast/lunch food. The server was quick to seat us. The coffee was really dark and when I added the cream it was no longer hot. But the kept the coffee and the water glasses full. I like that! Local friends took us out for breakfast. Three Roadrunners and a biscuits and gravy. B&G were great. Biscuits were flavorful and you could tell they were handmade from scratch. Gravy was thick and full of plenty of sausage. Ordered my eggs over-medium (and I'm a stickler) and they were spot-on perfect! Came with home fries that were good as well. Our two friends substituted avocado for ham on their roadrunners; something that the employees have come to remember about them. The third roadrunner was good and was enjoyed thoroughly. All-in-all the food and experience was great. The extra effort comes from an incident that happened while we were picking up our order. A small group of people came in and refused to wear masks or show proof of vaccination. When asked to leave they were less than savory. The staff there offered a free beverage or if we needed anything and apologized for the incident. We declined their offers as we were fine but it was their attentiveness and quickness to check on us that impressed us. We hired these wonderful people for our wedding catering and during COVID no less and they did an outstanding job! We had takeout catering tasting to try them out and they packaged everything amazing for us to try and we had a date of it trying our food choices! Jennifer was so so helpful with every aspect of planning and all the many many changes that happened throughout COVID wedding planning! We probably exchanged over 50 emails to get everting all sorted and she was the most helpful! Everyone that helped us at our wedding did an incredible job serving the food, they all wore masks and dished everyone up to reduce contact with food. They bar tended for us, and even packaged up little to go meals for us (the bride and groom!) to take to our honeymoon suite! They cleaned up and packaged all the leftovers in the fridge for us and let me tell you their food tastes just as good reheated as it does the night of. The best people to hire!
