His dry sense of humor provided just enough levity through the hot heated room, but I think I was the only person laughing. I loved the intention behind each pose, as I was able to find my way to the peak pose in a way I hadn't before. I also appreciated the strength building in the legs and the poses that promoted hip stability. Super important! I'm glad it wasn't just the regular old flow that everyone else teaches. I was also glad there wasn't music.

The office/front end (?) staff is unprofessional, cliquey, and over the top rude if you're not "one…read moreof them." The only reason I've ever even ventured so far out of Austin proper to this place is for 2 sound bath events that a beloved practitioner was hosting. I've had horrible interactions with their check in people both times and heard similarly from others who aren't "regulars" here. This is not a knock on the general people in this part of Austin as the folks I've had the opportunity to experience/get to know in class on both occasions have been lovely. It's a review based on the unnecessarily bad interactions with staff in this studio during the check in process for after hrs classes. Tonight, I walked in and waited directly next to a woman (who look most like the pic for "Liz D" who I never met before 8/8) who was clearly responsible as "the one checking people in with a manual sheet of names that she's confirming payment for before allowing entry into the room next door." As I'm waiting, she acts like I'm wearing an invisible cape and makes a big show of happily greeting 4 people who walk in after me and tells them to go ahead to the sound bath room w/o doing any checklist scratch off things (these peeps, btw aren't on "the list" which I can clearly see standing 5" to her side on the right). I interject into her happy greeting of another clique member to say I need to check in as I've paid for class. She asks my name and then points to someone named Anteylou (sp?) as the only "Ann" she sees. I repeat that my name is "Ann" not what she's pointing to and she proceeds to tell me I'm not on the list and starts to walk away. As she's departing I more loudly state I clearly see my name in the first column and spell it out for her. She turns around, glares at me, rolls her eyes, looks back at her clique, and gives me her best/worst valley girl impersonation of an obnoxious "Oh that's so great, thanks for letting me know!!! Have a great time!!!!!" And then smirks looking back at her clique encouraging them to giggle. WTF?! I will never be back to this location as the front end staff (or at least the women who worked the last 2 events on 8/8 and 7/21) have such awful demeanors that vomit an unexpected bad vibe on you when all you're trying to figure out is who the person is to "check in with because you paid for a spot in the room" that you have to focus on releasing and transmuting that ick before you can actually start enjoying class. :( Not sure if these women doing the check ins for special sound bath classes that begin at 8 pm are frustrated with having to work after hours and the manual task of and scratching out names of paid guests who aren't part of their clique on a handwritten list or they have other difficult personal matters going on in life in general, but goodness, ya'll don't need to take it out on the guests who've signed up and paid for a class! If you're paid and/or volunteered to check people into a class/session it's pretty easy to just confirm names and say WELCOME and move along. If that's frustrating for you, don't agree to do it. Problem solved! If you're an adult, I don't recommend anyone trying this place. So MANY other kind places in Austin that are a better way to spend your time and $$.

The classes remain consistently intense and a fantastic workout. There's a wide range of classes offered every day, and I really appreciate the variety of instructors--you get to find your favorites over time, which makes the experience even better. The studio has a friendly vibe, and most of the spaces are clean. That said, there are usually some stray hairs on the studio floor and a persistent fly that seems to live in Studio 1 (it's become a bit of a running joke in my head). The bathrooms and locker areas, on the other hand, are always very clean and well-maintained. I also love that they provide two hours of validated parking for the nearby garage--super convenient. If I had to point out a couple of areas for improvement: I wish they cleaned the studio floors a bit more thoroughly between classes. I've started wearing socks anytime I'm not on my mat to avoid stepping on anything. I'd also love to see more studio-wide challenges. In the four months I've been attending, there's only been one (the Summer Glow Challenge in August), which was super motivating--it would be great to have more of these throughout the year. Overall, I love this studio, have an all-access membership, and plan to keep coming here for the foreseeable future!

This location is right across from Mueller Lake Park with plenty of street parking and a pay to park parking garage ($2 an hour but the studio covers parking here). There are 2 bathrooms with showers and a large locker/cubby area that also has a sink/vanity area. There are 2 class rooms that both have a wall of windows open to the street. I have really enjoyed taking classes here! It is clean and instructors are friendly. I recommend this location if you haven't checked it out yet. I love to go for walks in the park after taking a class for an extra cooldown. Happy flowing!

After checking in Andrew gave me a tour of the space. Amy led class today. I love that we worked all areas over the body and used different prompts through out. Today's class was ENGAGE. We focused a lot on lower body. This studio is simple and modern! I love that the color pattern is pink and neutral tones and the lighting cues during the workout were so fun! I always feel welcomed by the entire staff when I walk in. It never felt like there was a hierarchy of regulars, even as a first timer I got the same embrace which made it so much less intimidating. One thing I love about this studio is how many 30/30 classes they offer, it gives me the chance to do two kinds of workouts within one time slot. The studio always feels clean and tidy. I found this space by way of a free yoga event, new to kundalini yoga, new to the neighborhood and…read morein deep search for peace, I found in Shuniya, a sacred sanctuary of thoughtful and deeply spiritual teachers who not only know the history of their craft, they have included me in my own ''master reset" at each and every class intersecting astrology , kundalini kriyas, sound alchemy , and my favorite part - community. The space is clean, thoughtful and intimate. To me, when we meditate and chant to call in the space, I feel like thousands of my Spirit guides are able to join in my hour of practice. The teacher holds the space for compassion, for devoted craft, for learning, for letting go, for sound healing and for just showing up as you are. I love that each class has some form of sound healing, be it a gong bath, sound bowls or a call and repeat meditation focused on the subject. My favorite class is Kundalini For Prosperity, as it guides me into greater release of my own blocks and cultivates a return to ancient wisdom for greater alignment. With so many unknowns happening for me in my life and navigating what feels like a breakdown of the life I have known, I feel like Shuniya has been a portal, a conscious choice point for choosing peace for finding the quiet breath that brings me back to my center and doing it with my tribe. I feel recharged, blessed and reset after every class. A new me emerges in a new timeline, navigating my unknowns with greater peace and calm. I was warmly greeted by Liv, who checked me in and gave me a lovely tour of the beautiful facility. Everywhere I went, there was such a positive and uplifting energy. They also let you borrow embroidered sweat towels for your practice, and I loved how the colors of the towels perfectly matched the decor. I settled into the big room and saved a spot for my nephew while I watched the yogis arrive. I don't usually do vinyasa classes, but this one was available and fit our schedules perfectly, so I decided to give it a try--and I'm so glad I did! Morgan led the class, turning it into 75 minutes of pure enjoyment. During the session, she was assisted by Maria and, I believe, Connor--since there are no mirrors in the room, they checked in on everyone to help with their form. At the end, they handed out rolled-up cold face towels infused with a calming, licorice-like essential oil, which was such a soothing touch. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I'm excited to try a heated Pilates class next!

I usually take Claire's classes as they are upbeat, fun and calorie burning! The focus on core and full body toning is what keeps brining me back. The studio itself it very beautiful, nicely decorated and spacious. They have two studio rooms one medium and one large room. Cubbies outside of the bathroom for quick storage and lockers and showers inside the restroom. They also have a very cool cafe area which I don't think is open often but once they had a matcha pop up after class which was awesome.
