We focused a lot on lower body. This studio is simple and modern! I love that the color pattern is pink and neutral tones and the lighting cues during the workout were so fun! I'm reserving the 5th star until I take one of their regularly scheduled classes. I didn't even know until I saw this special event advertised that Bodhi had opened a new location. Years ago I used to be a regular at the downtown location, but the classes got so crowded that I eventually looked for other studios. According to a classmate of mine this morning, the classes at the new location are still pretty small since they just opened. Even though it is a bit of a haul for me to get out there, it might be worth it to take a more intimate class with some of the instructors that I loved from the original location. This studio also has a small boutique and cafe in the front and the studio itself is really nice and clean with a wall of windows. I did find it funny though as we talked about taking life slower and not getting caught up in the rat race of life that I was looking at the sign for Best Buy in the reflection of the mirror.

I found my mind wandering a bit more during that class ... I believe the soundbath in Jacob's class helped mask the sound of the halo-generator. I felt more present.

I went to the Hatha class which I loved the instructor who was very thorough and talked through every pose. What I really like about this class is that it's really spacious and alot of props available for use. I will definitely be back for the flexibility and mobility class and some of the heated classes as well.

Sam Pullen was the yoga instructor and the stand up comedian was Stephen Campbell. We enjoyed his authentic story telling and comedy while also doing chair yoga followed by a sound bath. Although I was a member of Flow Yoga at some point after it took over Yoga Yoga, you don't have to be a member to attend this event. The energy and relaxation was just what I needed after a long overseas trip. I look forward to checking out their future events!

The doors open to the studio 15 minutes before class, if you come on time you're late as the doors lock at the start of class. No phones allowed during class and you are highly encouraged to stay for the full workout and cool down. I attended HOT Pilates with Cam. She is an incredible instructor and she really challenged everyone. All areas of the body were targeted and I definitely felt the burn!! I love heated classes because it helps loosen the muscles too. I find it hard to find studios offering Hot classes these days. I have to say this has been my favorite workout class this year and I'll definitely be back for more! Things to note! Yoga HOM is having a "glow up" with a name change and they are moving to a new building! Check their website for specifics! It'll still remain located downtown and parking can be hard, I recommend rideshare to avoid the hassle.

This is helpful if you wanna go somewhere else or happen to be on one side of town. The instructors are all amazing. Caroline, Rebecca, Valerie, Audrey, Paige and Jennifer are all so kind. Not to forget Ella! I know there are a few others I'm leaving out. The studio is compact with one restroom/changing room. The cubby area is ample for one class so depending on when you arrive for yours you may have to wait to grab one. The equipment is in good shape. Noticed that the weights will leave marks if holding the ends tight. Things I'm not a fan of, not sure how often the studio is vacuumed. Lately since the new year the classes are extra full. Sometimes a little too full where you're limited on space and can't use full range of motion. Thankfully it's not enough to deter me yet from continuing my Pure Barre journey.

The first thing to know before you get to class is where the actual studio is. Google will take you to 6th St but the entrance is actually on 5th St. There is an adjacent parking garage, but since it was Sunday, I was able to park on a nearby street for free. The lobby is as small as the ones in the other studios. I really wish we had more room to take our shoes off/on and stash our stuff! There is a retail section as well to pick up some sticky socks along with apparel. At this location all the equipment is inside the room, so fill up your water bottle, secure your spot at the barre, and then collect your props from the back corner. Valerie C was teaching today's class and she is awesome! Be sure to check her out on the schedule. Your glutes will thank you for it!

The space is so cute and has a really relaxed, communal feel with social seating. There's such a peaceful energy here that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. This space feels peaceful, bringing thoughtful consideration of all of the connections within and between us. On the lighter side, "cacao" makes me think of an old Portlandia episode that cracks me up, aside from my delight in any form of chocolate. The Mayan Cacao is sweetened to specification and perfectly spicy but rich and balanced - a treat enjoyed morning or afternoon, without the guilt of dessert.
