Zero stars. I was a repeat client -- my first move with this company was excellent, which is why I booked them again. This time, moving the same amount of belongings (just from a 1st floor to a 3rd floor, across town), everything fell apart. I paid for 3 movers plus a full kitchen pack. The crew arrived without packing supplies and said they didn't know packing was part of the job. They also didn't know the destination had stairs. From there, it derailed. Despite paying for three men, one walked off and another sat in the truck for over an hour, leaving me and a single crew member to pack and stage a majority of the load. Meanwhile, the driver spent about 90 minutes of his shift meandering around looking busy while complaining to the crew -- in front of me, in my own home -- about how this "wasn't what he was told," repeating things like "who books a packing job in the afternoon." When I finally told him not to worry about the stairs since I'd move everything to a first-floor storage unit instead, he got defensive, asked if I was saying he wasn't working, grabbed his toolbox, said he didn't have to work for me, and stormed out -- leaving me, a single woman, in a tense standoff with three strangers in my kitchen. I manage properties for a large multifamily company and will not be recommending this mover to residents, friends, or in any move-in materials. I've done six cross-country moves and countless local ones -- I know how this works, and this was by far the worst experience I've had. I ended up hiring a second company because I no longer trusted this crew on the stairs. The cherry on top was when payment time arrived and they tried to charge me for a fourth crew member when I didn't authorize that, had no clue they were even sending another person--and yet tried to charge me for that! Frankly, I should've only been charged for a two person crew when in reality I barely had that! So disappointing in every way, especially the final billing. Let me start by saying, we all know movers are typically a horrible experience, but there is truly not a single thing that sets this company apart from any of the other companies around. Do not let the marketing, advertising and "we move famous people" BS push you to book with this company. Our experience was nothing short of stressful, overpriced, broken items and unprofessional employees. It started off with Ben, who has no business being in sales and quoting individuals. Ben quoted us $2100-$2500 for a 1800 sqft home at around 4-6 hours (he says a typical job is) and SIGNIFICANTLY under quoted and underestimated the needs we had. They state that a truck can hold a 2,000 sqft home, which is very untrue. Our home was listed for sale so no secrets as to the things we had, just like any standard home. As you can imagine, we were extremely angry when moving across town an hour and they couldn't fit our things. A pretty significant amount at that. Requires us to either pay them another $500+ or get a U-Haul to do it ourselves, quite convenient for them. Upon arrival, the team immediately called their boss, Blake, to request additional help. Apparently it's pretty characteristic of them to understaff jobs as obviously they charge $275+\hr so they do this as a tactic to make more money and not support their frontline guys. We had another guy show up to help a few hours in, which we never requested or had the option of whether we wanted to add another mover. No communication there. The job took 9 hours, which was a lot more than quoted by Ben as their "average job." You would think a moving company who claims to be so experienced and high level would know how long these moves take. Ben also never did a virtual or in person visit to assess what we have, which is apparently standard for the company. The movers do not roll out a red carpet lol that is quite a joke. We had to tell them to put floor protection down in our new home so the hardwood floors didn't get damaged. They didn't put anything down at our old home to ensure protection. As we were finishing up they attempted to charge us $4500, to which you can imagine my shock after our initial quote was $2100-$2500. I spoke with the manager, Cody Black, who spoke to me like I was a child. They tried to charge almost double for the fourth guy showing up, which we did NOT ask for. Then Cody proceeds to ask me why I am so confused as to them not getting the house loaded onto the truck that to them "holds 2,000 sqft homes." He proceeded to talk in circles and try to explain that "some people have bigger couches, home items, etc." and this is as supposedly the reason a decent amount of things did not fit. Again, no walkthrough, no video to go over what was in the home to provide an accurate quote. Then the biggest joke of them all. The extra insurance. They charge you $250 just to have it and then another $250 to file a claim. They broke a $1k dresser and were going to charge me $500 just to file said claim with no legitimate insurance company, it's them. They said after that they would send someone to see if they can fix it. Mind you, you fill out a form for items of extraordinary value beforehand and even the movers showed us that about five of the items were listed on their "to move" list when I put at least ten items on that list detailing what we had and what it was worth. All this to be said, the company is a scam and you will pay almost double what you're quoted and be talked to like you're a child and be left to move the rest of your house on your own. Don't give these crooks a reason to keep their "family business" going. **Clearly you didn't go through enough research because here is the exact message where Ben stated the move would actually be $1500-$2100. TERRIBLE experience with this company. Can't speak to their abilities on actually moving items, however my family and I reserved a date and time for moving WEEKS ago, day of came around and we're sitting waiting for a call at the designated time (8:00 A.M.) and nothing comes. About two hours later we get a call from them saying they were "unaware of mover shortages for that day" and asked if we could do the move tomorrow instead. We, of course, were completely packed, with a lot of things already transported to the new house that we were able to move ourselves. Now my family is having to live between two different houses, because we were unable to make the move on the day we had originally intended. If you're moving you know how hard that is. Do not use. This is a bait and switch. We had a rep walk thru our inventory in detail and they quoted us &3600. After you sign your contract they give 48 hours to cancel but then their moving scheduler calls and wants photos of the house. When he reviewed the photos he said we needed double the space and our quote went up to $10k. Now it's too late to cancel and we would loose a $2k deposit. They photos matched everything we told them. They stick you with a contract and raise your rates. Horrible company!!!! read more

Was quoted for 8 hours and 6 guys for our home. Currently on day two and it's dragging. Broken furniture items and an additions 12% feet on top. They have deceptive marketing and poor customer service. They should know to disassemble furniture when moving it and not load heavy boxes on top of antique dining tables... Black Ties' business model is that you receive "rock star" treatment when you use them. We were ignored, items broken, walls damaged, inaccurate estimate of charges and no response from the owner after requesting a phone call. It's not unreasonable to expect their salesperson to get close on estimating how long a move will take- this is what he does for a living. He told us 2-3 hours when the move took 7.5 hours- this matters when you're paying hourly. We took the time to provide a full list of items being moved, with dimensions- so we don't know why he wasn't more accurate. We also requested a box for a large screen TV- they brought one that was 10" too small. They broke the TV, however we should have been covered since we purchased the EXTRA coverage on our items. Buyer beware if you do purchase the additional "insurance" or damage coverage, because when our TV was broken by their movers, it is the manager of Black Tie that determines the value and reimbursement amount of the broken item. This seems to be a conflict of interest, especially since we didn't agree with his valuation of the TV. However, don't think the manager will ever take the time to call you- even if you ask multiple times for a call back. He will email you- but will NOT call. We had several other issues: damaged walls and a furniture dolly that was accidentally taken by the crew- that we wanted to discuss with the manager, however, he will not talk to unhappy customers. We would never recommend Black Tie to anyone. We would have had a better experience if we hired two guys with a random truck (because that's what they looked like anyway) and probably spent a lot less. read more

Very poor. Two televisions that were fully functional before pickup were damaged during transport. The move felt rushed, procedures were not properly followed, and there was no realistic opportunity to inspect items before being asked to sign paperwork. The biggest issue is the claims process. If you choose the standard liability coverage, be aware it only pays pennies per pound, not the actual value of your belongings. When high-value, low-weight items like TVs are damaged, you are left with almost no meaningful compensation. If you use this company, strongly consider purchasing the highest liability coverage available or separate moving insurance. Otherwise, you risk being stuck with significant losses if your items are damaged. read more

We were really expecting quality service when we booked with Black Tie Moving, but ended up being quite disappointed with the service we received. When we got a quote over the phone, I described the service we would need would be unloading a uhaul into our new build home. I had asked if this service included unwrapping and reassembling larger items and was reassured that yes, the movers would unload our truck, put everything where we wanted it and reassemble our furniture. We got a call the day before confirming our window for service would be from 1-4pm. I explained we were driving across the country so any heads up on a more specific time would be appreciated so we could line up our arrival times. On the day of, we received a call from the movers at around 10am saying they finished their morning job and were ready early, I let them know our ETA was 12:45 so meeting at 1pm would be great. They called again at 12:45 confirming our arrival and we said yes, come on over! At 1:19pm I received another call from the movers saying they "didn't realize how far away they were and would be there in about 2.5 hours"... I don't understand how we confirmed the time of arrival 2 times and they never once checked the address to see how far away they were. Movers finally arrived at 4:15pm, with no sense of urgency or apology for the delay. At that point we had already done some unloading out of the truck on our own. Movers moved at an incredibly slow pace and were noticeably unhappy to be here. The first thing they did when entering the house was ask "where's your bathroom?" And "can I plug my phone in?". They brought the larger items inside and did not unwrap or reassemble them as I was told they would. When we asked them, they said their standard is if they didn't pack it then they don't unpack it... I was told something completely different over the phone when booking. I have also found a few points of damage done from the movers including chipped walled and doorframes from carelessly moving our items. This is a new build home, it is very disappointing to have damage done on literally day 1 of moving in so carelessly. I was also told when booking that we would receive the "black tie treatment" and something would be placed on our floors to protect it, all we got was a little mat placed over the door frame and a few feet into our hallway. We were overly kind and helped take some boxes and put them where we wanted and the movers never once cracked a smile. When we received a phone call to close out the move a few minutes after they left, I let the woman know our concerns and was only told "I'll make a note". No apology or care for the complaint. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. We feel like we paid for a service that we ended up doing half of on our own... maybe if our initial quote phone call wasn't so promising we wouldn't have had such high expectations but they definitely over promised and under delivered. Black Tie Movers & All Star Maintenance On October 2, 2024, my wife and I conducted a walk-through a couple of days before our closing on purchasing a previously owned home. When we started to move in on October 4, we noticed the front door had been severely scratched deep into the wood. We contacted our agent who made contact with the sellers. They stated the door had been damaged during the move by Black Tie Movers. They stated they had filed a claim / complaint with Black Tie Movers and transferred the claim to us since we were now the owners, Black Tie's contracting service, All Star Maintenance reached out to us within a couple of days and stated they were needing to set up and appointment to repair the door. The representative contacted me on October 8, at 2:00 to set up an appointment for the next day. He gave me the options of 7:00 - 11:00 or 12:00 to 4:00. We chose the 12-4 so we could get our moving going. Stopped moving at 11:00 and waited on All Star Maintenance. No show and no call. Called at 7:00pm to find out what the issue was. They had "gotten caught up on a job and would have to reschedule for Thursday October 9. The time was set for 7:00am. At 7:45am I called to check on their status and was told they were about 30 minutes out. Upon their arrival they began sanding the door. For approximately 6 hours they sanded the door trying to get the gouges out. I thought we were going to have a screen door when they got finished. Upon putting 3 coats of stain on the door, it looked terrible. Even the man in charge of the job agreed. He asked to let it sit overnight and he would call or text me first thing the next morning to see if it had improved. Next morning, no contact. I called and said it hasn't changed if anything it looks worse. He agreed it was too much damage for a clean repair. He then stated he would notify Black Tie for a request to replace the door that could no be repaired. He said "they want us to do everything possible before they have to replace anything and I've done all that can be done." I was then notified by All Star Maintenance that the request had been submitted to Black Tie for their approval. On Friday, October 18, I was then contacted by Jordan of All Star Maintenance and Cody from Black Tie Movers. Cody stated that he needed me to send him pictures of the door. When I did, he started in by saying it a perfectly working door. I reminded him it's not the functionality, but the condition of the door his company had damaged and then made it worse by an unacceptable repair. I explained to Cody that the exact same door is at Home Depot. He asked the price. I did not know so I went and got a quote from the Home Depot representative who provided a quote for the door with finished and unfinished staining. I knew they could install the door cheaper than Home Depot and knew they could hopefully stain it properly. I had the Home Depot representative email the quotes to me and I immediately forwarded them to Jordan with no response. To put the value into context, the door unfinished, exactly as it is with the same features was $2475.20 ready to stain and $3060.60 pre-stained. Not just an old wooden door. See the problem? Then I was told by Cody of Black Tie Movers that the best door repair and stain person would be coming on Saturday morning at 9:00am to see what he could do. He stated he had instructed them to push every other job aside until this one was completed They asked if early was okay since a big college football game came on that afternoon. I said that was fine. Saturday at 9:00am, no show, no call. then at 10:05am, the phone rang and it was Cody. He stated that he just found out that the repair person wasn't feeling well and wanted to reschedule for Tuesday morning at 9:00am. I told him "ok". Every time they no show, I have lost valuable time on moving and setting up my home. When they have been here for hours on end, I lose valuable time since they have to keep the front door open to access the door. I've tried to be reasonable, but it seems as though that just hinders things. read more

Worst moving experience ever. I had so many items broken or damaged. One of my computer monitors - damaged. My air hockey table - damaged. My duck lamp from the UK - leg broken, company no longer ships to the US. Dishes - broken. I could go on and on. My baby grand piano was damaged, luckily we got someone out here who could fix it. My arcade machines, they pulled the plugs out and separated them from the equipment. I don't know where the plugs are nor what they look like. I just don't understand. Horrible experience! They broke or scratched at least 10 things. Dragged my mattress through dirt. Ripped 3 box springs. Put a hole in my sleeep number. Drove their truck on my lawn. My original move was across the country and most things already prepped and wrapped. Not one single thing was scratched or broken on move across the country. I used Black Tie for my local move of 7 miles. They couldn't get everything into one truck, even though when I came across country, there was no problem getting everything in one truck. There were only two guys on the team to move my Steinway upright. They told me it was " really heavy "! My house did not have an easy entry for a piano. But your employees thought carefully about how to move the piano safely from the truck into the house. They were very resourceful and creative in their thinking and asked to use the large sheets of plywood I had on my garage floor to cover the grassy area where they would have to use the handcart. Their solution worked perfectly and with a lot of muscle and determination, the piano traveled across the grass, up two concrete steps, and safely into the entryway. The hardwood floors had been covered with Black Tie Piano Moving pads and didn't suffer a single scratch. I'm so glad i called Black Tie Piano movers. Their communication skills were excellent and I felt reassured every step of the way that my piano would be well cared for and delivered safely. I've waited a month to write a review, thinking that allowing for the time to pass would provide a more objective response. Instead, we have only found more reasons to strongly recommend that anyone considering a move NOT use Black Tie. They are not the company to use if you are looking for a company that will - provide you with professional service, take care of your belongings, be responsive and keep you updated. Examples? * Poor communication in updating on packing and moving status and timing. We were sitting around waiting on the packers, with no clear indication on when they would arrive. * Required signing of a number (10 or more) of documents during packing process, without a chance to actually review. Asked multiple times for a copy of documents, after several weeks I was finally able to read what I had been asked to sign. * STRONGLY recommend if you are still willing to gamble all of your belonging on this poor service, that you obtain the documents BEFORE signing them. * During loading, had to request multiple times for items in various rooms and outside to be loaded. Some were moved - and many were not. Had to personally transport a number items that were left behind, and a number of items had to be left. * Damaged and dismantled retaining wall during delivery without replacing * Boxes were not placed in rooms as labeled. This becomes an issue when you are now the one that has to haul boxes around and potentially up and down flights of stairs. * Some items were wrapped well - but more than half items that should have been wrapped were not. Imagine all of your spices simply tossed in a box. Or, how about important documents simple tossed into a large box along with bathroom items such as soaps as cleaners. * Wardrobe boxes that were actually used for clothes (dress shirts, suits, dresses, slacks) - had the clothes simply tossed in a box. * Used larger wardrobe boxes to pack multiple items that did not include clothing. This resulted in, essentially, a mess of items tossed around in a large box. Now combine a large, heavy, unwieldy box that is in the wrong room or wrong floor that you now have to move. * China cabinet was delivered with broken and missing clips for glass shelves * Missing brackets for wall unit shelves * Broken TV - be sure to read what the standard claim value is * Scratched furniture * Submitted a claim on 12/11. No response. Called twice to ask for an update, once was told the claims manager would reach out. Again, no response. Submitted claim again using online form on 12/23. * Contacted on 12/23 by claims team, there were a couple of email exchanges and the responses turned derogatory * We continue to unpack boxes and find more damage, more poor or no-existent wrapped items. The latest - an antique cuckoo clock that belonged to a grand-parent. It was simple tossed, unwrapped, in the bottom of one of the large garment boxes. Broken, and not working correctly. Something we had invested in repairing a few years ago. Bottom line, if you value what you have - do NOT use Black Tie for moving! read more

I had a great experience with the two movers who helped us out last week. We have them booked for the 'big move' at the end of the month, but they coordinated a 'mini-move' for us, just to bring over the beds, etc. so we could start sleeping in our new place. The two guys who helped us move our beds over were great. They earned extra points from me because they went out of their way and their comfort zones to help me move my wheelchair-bound husband up the steps to his new home - in the pouring down rain. read more

I had a move schedule and was told they would arrive by 8am. At 8:30 I text the main contact, and they said they talked to the lead on my move and they stopped to get gas. They didn't arrive until 9:30. I had given a detailed description of large items that needed to be moved, the size of the apartment, confirmed the truck size, I asked to book for 5 hours and was told it shouldn't take more than 2 but they would book me for 5 and it could be adjusted later, I also confirmed that I was their only scheduled move that day. Well they arrived and started loading up the truck, around noon we ordered pizzas for everyone and they took a short break to eat, but after eating both my movers disappeared for over an hour. We couldn't find them and no one was loading anything from my unit except my dad. They reappeared and were moving things again when one approached me and said "the truck is getting full and I have another move I need to get to in about an hour so we are cutting it close". I told him I was booked for 5 hours, and told I was the only one on the schedule for the day incase it ran over. He said he would figure it out. The truck was full before several large items in my unit were even on the truck yet including my entire living room. They said they could get the large items but I would have to move the other boxes on my own. I was in the living room and didn't realize they were leaving 10+ boxes behind for me to move. I had specifically stated I had a deep freezer to be moved. They didn't wrap it or secure it in anyway and now it's covered in dents. They also didn't wrap a lot of my other furniture which ended up being damaged as well. They took apart a table to move it, but lost the fancy screws for that table. The mover said he left it on the kitchen table, I went back the next day to look it wasn't there. Additionally on the drive to the new house they said they had to stop for gas for a second time that day, so arrived 20-30 minutes later than we did. Once they got to the house I saw in the back of the truck, and there was a lot of empty space that could have fit more boxes and the rugs they left behind. They assembled by bed back incorrectly so I was left to fix that later. Moving an item up the stairs the put a small hole in my wall, which can happen in a move and they did alert me to this. This was an easy patch solution though, and I fixed it that night. Black tie die offer to pay to have it professionally repaired. However, when the freezer damage was discovered and they said they had no idea how it happened and just file a claim. All the boxes were labeled but they just kept sticking boxes in the garage instead of into the rooms they were labeled to go, which meant I had to move those boxes and the 10+ they left at my apartment. Additionally, they didn't lay down any padding on the front stairs, so I have large chips of paint now missing from the stairs. I contacted black tie about the freezer and wall, and they paid for damages. I noticed many other items damaged later on, but since I had already made a claim I just sucked it up. The main office was really easy to talk to and deal with, which is why I originally booked with them even though they were priced slightly higher. The move ended up taking 5.5/6 hours in total, and they had to cancel their move scheduled in the middle. I was overall disappointed with how much work I was left to do after hiring a moving team. Luckily my dad had rented a large SUV for the move for more delicate items, because I wouldn't have been able to move any other items in my two seater. We spent 5 hours in the rain the next day moving all that was left behind in several trips, all while someone was trying to clean my apartment because I had to give up the keys that afternoon. I was also disappointed in the lack of communication from the team when they were arriving an hour and a half late and disappearing mid project. I understanding paying for them to have a lunch break or even get gas (for the second time in one day for an 18 minute move) but the hour that they just disappeared was also on my dime. The movers blamed the company for not letting them know all the details and scheduling them for another move in the middle for my 5 hours. It just was unorganized and left a lot of work for myself and my dad to do that we hadn't prepared for when hiring a moving crew. I think the crew just got tired, which is why so many items were damaged, large items weren't wrapped or padded, and they stopped loading the truck before it was full. I had been really transparent that my 1,300 ft apartment had many large items and lots of moving boxes. Black tie was the one that suggested 2 movers for 2-3 hours, but agree to book me for 5 hours instead. My experience was horrific. I've moved 5 times in the last 10 years and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. Whether it was the poor communication leading up to the move or the fact that they damaged some very expensive items (antiques and treadmill). On top of that they are very expensive relative to the movers I previously used. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for your mover. read more

The guys worked fast and were so nice and helpful. They were on time and asked lots of questions about where I wanted my things.

I'm having an awful experience with this company today. I had a move scheduled for weeks. Told me they would be at my house at 10:30am. It's not 3:30pm and they called to say they wouldn't get here until 7pm. The storage unit we are moving to is going to be closed. We are closing tomorrow and I have already hired cleaners. I haven't gotten a call back from a single person at this company besides the technician. This is really brutal. I can't get anybody from the company to communicate with me in regards to rescheduling. I would never use them again read more

Black tie does not represent the service they provide. During unpacking I had several damages on expensive items. leather pottery barn Bart stools ( which were not even wrapped and protected) , one of a kind art bowl, beautiful wood furniture dented. When I contacted claims they said they pay 60 cents a pound! read your contract!!!! I have thousand of dollars of damages and the lady at claims could care less. read more

I've used black tie at least 4 times now. They always have very professional movers, and their prices are reasonable. For my last move, I was moving furniture from my 10x 24 storage unit back into my 4000 sq ft house. I hired two teams (3 plp per team). Marcus and his team - Shane and Lansten, Colton and his team- Todd and Luke. When making the appointment, I had a staggered start time- Marcus came in first, and Colton came in 30 mins later. They all came in on time and prepared to move. Marcus is very professional and organized, he knows what's the most efficient way to unload my storage unit and to pack it up into their truck. He is a great leader. The first team was able to unload half of my storage unit before the second team came in. Everyone is an extremely hard worker. They were all very fast with moving things out. My house is brand new, and the team rolled out red carpets to protect my hardwood floors. My walls are finished in flat white paint, there are some minor scuffs, but nothing which magic eraser couldn't fix. They moved everything within 6 hours, and they even helped me with building my outdoor patio furniture! I hired them again two days later, and specifically request Marcus because of his extraordinary ability to direct and manage his team systematically. Marcus brought in Luke and Bryon. This move was to move new furniture from my trailer into my house, and then build them. Marcus and Luke did an amazing job, they were following the instructions and didn't miss out any pieces. Bryon had a little bit of a hard time with the writing desk, probably because it has more parts than other furniture. But all in all, the team was able to move AND build 5 beds, 1 desk, 2 night stands, 2 couches all in 5 hours! That's lighting speed! I would highly recommend hiring Black Tie Movers again. They were the ones that immediately came out to help pack things into my storage unit after my house was destroyed by the tornado in 2020. They always have professional movers and I would definitely hire them again without a heart beat! read more

This is our third move with Black Tie and unfortunately, it will be the last. Crew lead cancelled truck and extra crew for the day- leading to additional time required for the move with less manpower. I had to call and request truck and additional men. Meanwhile, the crew of 5 sat in our driveway for a solid hour before leaving to assist the two other guys that were working to finish the load from previous house. Curious if this was intentional as it was a holiday and crew pay was time and1/2. Multiple large appliances and heirloom furniture damaged and not functional- I have submitted pictures to the claims department and have yet to receive any response. I will be pursuing all options to recoup for damages. read more

Mover dragged a refrigerator from the wall without disengaging the levelers on a wood floor. The levelers caused the 2 1/2 foot gouge in the wood floor. Company said not cover and gave excuses that were pathetic (You should read the contract regarding liability, all refrigerators are different, levelers are not common, etc..). Paid handyman to fix. I expected more from a Company like Black Tie Moving and I am extremely disappointed. Follow-up, Black Tie Moving reimbursed us for the floor damage after further communications. Thank you! - I hired 5 guys and 4 showed and clearly only 1 was experienced. After a few hours one of men left leaving 3 (1 experienced person and 2 teenagers). - Started at 9am and at 12:30am I asked everyone to leave due to the fighting between men. - They came to the job with little to no tools so we had to dig to get the bedroom furniture apart. They didn't keep track of the hardware to the furniture so when it came time to putting a bunk bed back together they couldn't and now I'm left with the task of finding parts! - They didn't wrap anything properly so my $10k dinning room table is all nicked up and every piece of wood furniture has some sort of chip. I was finding wood chips all over When I was cleaning up. - They don't lay down mats or carpet on the flooring to protect from dolly damage. It is false advertisement. My walls have black marks all the way up the stairwell and I will have to repaint. - They are less than professional. When I called midway though the job to ask about lack of help I was told "it's the busiest time of year and We can't help". - They had to leave their truck in my driveway overnight because it broke down. When the tow truck arrived he towed the large moving van over my grass! - When I called the owner he never returned my call. I'm still waiting to hear. UPDATED REVIEW: To say we had more than a few issues with our move is an understatement. These were further complicated by a less than stellar customer complaint resolution and recovery process. HOWEVER, true to their guarantee, the owner called us, months later when he found out, and went well above and beyond to make it right. Some problems can be blamed on bad hires, which he said was resolved. Others due to some employee training and turnover. Some may be just bad luck. All and all though, the owner did what's right. Terrible experience and customer service!!! 1. They were 1.5 hours late causing me to lose out on elevator reserve time. 2. Three movers worked at a rate of 1.5 movers or 2 at the most. 3. They broke a leg on a very expensive dresser. Have nor returned it or offered to repair it. 4. Got 2 numbers on move in day to call with problems and nobody answered despite around 6-7 phone calls and messages. 5. When someone finally called back, they said they would take off 10% but did not at time of checkout. No communication between people. 6. Have not returned further calls on the furniture damage. 7. Movers were pleasant but inefficient. 8. Expensive service that is not worth the price. read more
