I understand things happen during a move and the contract stipulates $.60 per pound. With that being said, I wanted to provide my experience for you to decide if this is a company you want to work with. Paid $1608.33 Property MOVED: (700 square feet) 1 couch, 1 recliner, 2 bar chairs, 1 dresser, 1 night stand, 2 TVs, 1 queen metal bed frame, 1 mattress, 22 Sm to Med boxes/crates Property DAMAGED/DESTROYED: 1 couch, 1 recliner, 1 dresser, 1 qu sheet set, scratch marks on the stairs, walls, 6 boxes/crates Started the job at 9:37am. Within the first hour, I watched them stack four crates off center onto the loading gate. Less than a minute later, all four crates tumbled to the ground with the contents going everywhere. The 2nd mover asked to use the restroom, only one at the location. After 13 minutes, he came out of the bathroom were DIRT DRIED SWEAT RINGS/STAINS on the TOILET seat. I overheard EK and the other mover complaining about the amount of time it was taking and the second mover said he needed to be on the road headed to New Orleans by 1pm. At this time, it was 12:22pm and they had not loaded one piece of furniture. I left to open the destination with the assumption they were right behind me. They did not show up at the destination location until 2:09 PM. In correspondence with the owner before the insurance claim was filed, he told me they must have stopped for lunch. i.e., I PAID $179 for them to stop and have LUNCH. When I returned after a quick errand at 3:03pm. The second mover was gone and a second set of movers were there. I watched the three gentlemen have a conversation around the COUCH. At any point they could have said we SNAPPED THE FRAME and are sorry. How would you like to proceed? EK (lead mover) asked me to sign without giving me the opportunity to read the contract and took a set of allen wrenches with him. I contacted him 4xs to return my belongings. He never responded. GUESS IT BECAUSE HE DESTROYED MY PROPERTY and TRIED TO COVER IT UP. The owner Bryce Atkins gave me the insurance claim information. When I contacted him about the meager $500 SETTLEMENT. He responded, "Based on the info you provided on weight of the items, our claims company decided that you were liable to receive $238 in COMPENSATION. Thats the legal liability. I upped that to $500." "How much of a settlement offer did you expect to receive?" Full hand prints in my white sheets which had to be thrown away. Boxes marked Fragile, destroyed. Boxes with arrows pointing a direction, dropped and left upside down. At the old location, packing tape, trash and three boxes were left. read more

Yeah.....I've moved a lot and used a lot of different movers....I have had some great experiences, and I have had horror stories....this team...well, from the moment I first had the company come out and estimate...were just top notch. Estimate that they gave me was high...higher than anyone else. But I feel there must have been some confusion regarding what was staying and what was being moved. But they had 2 trucks and 4 guys for the day. Those guys--I remember one was CeeLow, or something like that...came in and were EXTREMELY professional and nice. Just a great 4 man team. They got to work and were very careful with everything. No damages to any furniture at all. Both moving in and out. Now, their work was so professional and so quick, they took what was estimated to be an 8 hour job and got it done in less than 4....great thing about it is after the 2 hour minimum, the charges are calculated on 15 minute increments....so they actually ended up saving me money. Professional, courteous, careful, fast, and incredible movers. Will definitely want to work with them again if I ever need to move. read more

Worst moving experience. When they were trying to sell me their business, they promised me that they provided higher value with their W-2 experienced employees and standard of excellence. The actual experience could not have been farther from what was promised. The packing crew showed up hours late both days to pack our house and then bolted mid-afternoon. Then they wanted us to sign that they spent full day working. We refused to attest to fraudulent hours. Boxes are packed haphazardly and no labeling at all (even though they promised each box would be packed and even signs by the packer). But actual move was worse- again they showed up late and were the slowest moving crew I have ever had out of a dozen moves I have done. They sent 6 guys and 3 guys told me they had never done a move before - that it was their first day. They had no idea what to do. Half of them stood around doing nothing for hours. Two of the guys were injured and couldn't move at all. Which left only one guy that knew what he was doing to move. It was so painful. Ultimately, they left multiple articles behind, including items in garage and basketball hoop. They have done nothing about it since then. j So many boxes were unmarked and put in the wrong area in my house - it's a mess. No cords were put with the electronics. None. There is no cord to my treadmill, computer monitor or tvs so far. Several items are broken. We communicated all of the above with them and even though they were very responsive when trying to get our business, they could not have cared less during and after the move. And even though the salesperson promised how responsive they are - when I wrote about left over and broken items, they've responded only with "file a claim with the third party." To top it off - they charged my credit card twice after the move without authorization. We are filing all claims and will be contacting the BBB and anyone else we can. I used these guys for a whole house move on Oct 25th. They did a great job, busted their butts for about 9 hours working until about 8pm. Rickey and his crew of 5 guys handled our belongings with great care. They were also really enjoyable to have around. Move On from these movers. Several miscues added unnecessary stress to an interstate move. Prolonged delay in providing Certificate of Insurance info produced uncertainty until the day before moving. Paid for a 4-hour "unloading window" in a condo-8a.m.-noon. Movers arrived at 10:45 a.m. Had to beg building for an additional 2 hours which,thankfully, was available. Once company secures your 50% deposit, it uses programmed messages to "communicate". Never received any communication or explanation of the service missteps or offer to make things "right". read more

The team at Move On did an excellent job. They showed up on time, carefully laid out protective covers on the door / walls / floor and got right to work. Nothing was damaged and they properly shrink wrapped the furniture. The crew clearly knew what they were doing and were able to work efficiently. The entire process was well run. I was able to sign and pay via iPad, I got text message alert reminders including when the crew was 15 minutes away. The team finished well before the quoted estimate which was very much appreciated. When they give you a quote, I think they tend to over estimate the length of the move to account for complications that might come up, like a bed frame that has to be taken apart. If you want to reduce the move time, take care of all that stuff before hand. read more

I honestly feel like giving this moving company even one star is too much. I spoke with the co-owner on the phone and got a quote of $1650. This was to partially pack and move 1700 feet of moderately furnished living space over 2 days. On day one, 3 men showed up an hour and 45 minutes late. One of the three told me right away that this was his first ever assignment and time being out with the company. He said he had no experience moving and packing. While he was very nice, he was so slow and asked so many questions of the other movers that I could sense they were getting highly perturbed quickly. The second mover, Paul, had a nice attitude when he didn't have his ear buds in and his music on full blast. He just sort of zoned out. I found him in my kitchen shrink wrapping the contents of my refrigerator. I have never seen a mover pack refrigerated contents, much less shrink wrap them. The third mover, Chris, who was the supervisor, was nice but terribly slow. He spent most of his time on the phone or on his company-issued iPad style device. He offered no direction for the other two movers, and I had to repeatedly tell him about things that were going awry. The first day was spent packing the kitchen only, and loading the truck to take furniture to the new house. I felt like these guys were working in slow motion. I am a former military spouse, and have moved 11 times in 14 years. Never, ever have I encountered movers who were so slow. In retrospect, it makes sense, given that they were paid by the hour. The second day, only Chris and Paul showed up. The younger new guy was "off on another assignment." I had been sold hard on getting 3 guys because it would overall "reduce cost, as 3 guys working at once would be cheaper than 2...." - this and other things I was told by the co-owner of Move On, Toddy Caldwell, when setting up the job and getting the quote. When Chris told me the total, which came to $2,700, I was really shocked. I couldn't believe I was having to pay this company more than a mortgage payment to move my belongings 1.4 miles. Toddy was nice but incredibly schmoozy on the phone. This goes along with his persona, where he prances around Nashville in a fur coat and little else. Even their ads have featured him in his little white fur coat. I only saw these ads after I used the company. read more

Spoke to someone and let them know the quote was higher than I was looking for, and that I'd get back to them if needed. They proceeded to call, text, and email me for the next 5 days on top of getting a promotional email from them every other day. I highly recommend Move On ! Milan , Chris and Que all helped me move a FULL truck load in 95 degree weather. What impressed me the most was their curtesy and respect for my wishes and belongings . Let me tell you they gave me everything I asked for and more! I had used another moving company last time and I was pleased with them. I called that moving company first and after about 10 emails back-and-forth they still could not give me a quote even after I sent them an inventory. It was becoming such a hardship just to get a simple quote of them I decided to try another company. Who knows what's going on with that company maybe they're under new ownership or something? ( I will write a review on them after I get settled in) . I had about a two minute phone call with MoveOn they gave me a flat fee hourly and an agreement was made. No hidden prices or fees. I had everything boxed up and labeled when they got here but Milan even took the extra care of wrapping my furniture to keep it from being damaged. They were so quiet and quick as they worked I was astonished. When we got to my new place they even set my bed up for me without even asking. PERFECT!! Let me tell you by that time of the day I was pretty much out of service and sitting on the recliner. I was thinking to myself on that soft recliner " I don't know how much this is going to cost but whatever it cost it is certainly worth every penny!!" As I was moving into a home that I had just had the hardwood floors refinished and restained and the walls were freshly painted I had asked them to please try to be so careful not to damage the new hardwood floors or paint. They did an excellent job of that painstakingly taking the time that was needed to fit the larger pieces of furniture around corners, stairways and such. Now keep in mind this is after LOADING the full truck in 95 degree humid Tennessee heat. Upon arriving to the new home they still gave me their all and I know they had to be very exhausted physically. I wish this company the very best I believe they must be a little bit newer I would certainly tell you to give them a try with no hesitation! The WORST moving company in Nashville. We moved from Murfreesboro to Clarksville just a few weeks ago. Our move was from a rental to a BRAND NEW home with hardwood, a wrought iron stair case, and marble tile in the wet areas. The three movers destroyed my new home. They scratched my hardwood to the point that the gouges will have to be fixed with wood filler. They cracked my marble tile in multiple places. They tracked mud upstairs on my new carpet. They left huge gouges and scrapes on my walls to the point that we are going to have to paint our entire house. They broke my wrought iron staircase which will need extensive repairs to strengthen its connection to the stairs. They broke solid wood (Henredon) furniture that has withstood the test of time. It was family heirloom furniture. We had to throw away our book shelves, kitchen carts, and several pieces of framed art work that was packed in boxes made for fragile items. One of the movers was older and he left clearly labeled boxes all over the place. Half of our furniture wasn't carried upstairs. The furniture they did carry up was hidden in corners so that it would take time for us to notice is was broken. Every single box was labeled. Every single room was labeled with directions and arrows all over the house. We still can't find 1/2 of our items in boxes because the boxes were left everywhere. Why bother to label boxes when no one follows the directions? Worst of all, when it started to rain, they stopped working, all the while sitting in beach chairs in my garage drinking water and Gatorade that I bought for them cutting up and having a great time. They were still on the clock. An hour and 1/2 later they get up and start working again. They toss the rest of the stuff in the garage and came in to unwrap the furniture. That took them one hour. They should have unwrapped the furniture while it was raining. The movers were told that I was having back surgery in a week and that I could not carry heavy boxes upstairs. They left all of our wardrobe boxes in the garage. They left four pieces of heavy furniture in the living room. I had to spend even more money to get someone else to move the furniture and wardrobes upstairs. I begged for help and was ignored. Then, they have the audacity to attempt to charge me for the full amount of the move. Can you believe that? I'm laying in a hospital flat on my back from intensive surgery and my phone is buzzing - it's overdraft fees due to be charged, not once, not twice, but THREE times for my move. They cleaned out my bank account. These people are frauds. Stay away or they will do the same to you. Sadly, I could go on for hours about the damage they did to the rental we moved out of. It's worse than the new house. Lazy, incompetent, and fraudulent. That's the best and most simple description I can give you for MoveOn. Do yourself a favor and MoveOn to someone else. read more

I set my move up with Bryce via email and he was a breeze to work with. He didn't hassle me once he provided my quote but was quick to respond to any questions I had leading up to the move. Chris and Que were my movers and they showed up right on time... maybe a few early. I jokingly told Bryce to send me his best two movers and I think he really did! Everything about our experience moving to another state with Move On was wonderful. Jack came to our home to determine a quote where other companies did phone interviews. When she sent the binding quote she called to explain that our house size was just over the capacity for one truck. Since it was an out of state move, she suggested we rent a cargo van for the excess and said our movers would help load and unload the van. She also provided a referral for someone who did consignment sales for a bed frame, mattress and nightstand so we could quickly downsize what we did not need. The movers, Paul, Seelow (?spelling) and Donald loaded our furniture quickly and efficiently on a Saturday. Since Move On is closed on Sunday, we did not have to pay storage and our furniture was delivered on Monday afternoon (we closed on our house on Monday morning). We read reviews from other companies where furniture delivery out of state was delayed for weeks and really appreciated Move On for their efficiency. Paul and Seelow unloaded our furniture quickly and carefully. Nothing was damaged in the move! All of our movers were extremely friendly and hard working. Move On was recommended to us as a wonderful moving company that gets great reviews. We decided to use them even though they charged much more than the larger moving van lines would have, as per the owner's own admission. We moved out of state and because we had such a large move, required three 26 foot moving trucks. The move went smoothly and on time as promised. The movers were polite and hard working. Since our belongings were the only items on these three trucks, we expected everything to be delivered complete and intact. On the day of delivery there was already one damaged item that had to be discarded because it was totally broken. As the days and weeks went on and we began the tedious task of unpacking and inspecting furniture, we began discovering damage to some furniture, missing items, and missing boxes. Since this company does not count or label the number of boxes, there is no inventory taken prior to the move. That may work well with smaller moves but not for a really massive move such as ours. We eventually made a list of missing items that we could recall, and we settled on a fair monetary compensation. We ended up repairing some furniture on our own time and expense and did not request compensation for; another piece of furniture was unrepairable, but because it was older and part of a set, we did not request compensation for it either. After receiving the agreed upon amount of compensation for the missing/damaged items, I discovered a couple of other missing items that I had not realized were missing earlier. As I began setting up rooms, one by one, only then did I realize more items were missing than originally thought. This can easily happen when you have a large move to a large home. It takes time to unpack and remember all of your belongings. The last moving company we used prior to this one, six years earlier, was a larger moving van line which gave us nine months to report missing or damaged belongings, and there were honestly no damages or missing items from that move, and that move was larger than this one. Move On gave us a couple of months to report missing and/or damaged items, only because I called the company and reported some missing items the day following the delivery. When I contacted the company to let them know that there were a least a couple of more missing items, I received one email from them letting me know that they would follow up with the owners and get back to me. That email was sent to them on November 1, 2021. I never received a response from them, so I followed up with another email one month later, on December 1, 2021. Still no response, so today I sent my final email to them that basically stated that a reputable business should not ignore customers this way. I understand accidents and breakages can, and do occur during a move, but then the company that caused these damages should at the very least respond, and not ignore a customer's concern. They are quick to respond if you need a moving estimate but not for reimbursement for damages. I would not recommend this company. read more

Awful. Move on claims to be the 'high end' mover, but it appears these people are just high. This was a TERRIBLE experience. First, let me say that we did have a complicated move. Our stuff was to be picked up on a Fri, stored, and delivered 2.1 miles away on the following Wed. They showed up on moving day with 5 guys- more than enough to do the job. The movers were even nice & polite. BUT - At the end of the day, they pulled off and left 11 full boxes. No effort was made to double check the house. As they were pulling out I asked them if they were planning on taking the TV that was on the living room wall. Chris, the cheif stoner, told me they had forgotten it. FORGOT? It's on the wall of the room you have to walk through every time you walk in or out. They left over a dozen empty bottles and wrappers in the house and more in the front yard as if this were a construction site and not a house that just sold for $700K+. They left 2 giant things in the back yard (kids playhouse and slide). I spent over an hour packing up my own truck, driving over to the new house (some of the items were to be stored in the garage). When I arrived (over an hour after they left my house 2.1 miles away) they STILL had not arrived. I unloaded my entire truck, another 30 minutes. They finally arrived as I was pulling out. I reminded them of what they left. They promised to go back and get the large yard items. Guess what never happened. When I returned later that evening to lock the new house up, I saw the forgotten TV, just jammed between two pieces of furniture without any packing or padding. Guess who's now got a TV with big scratches all over it? The next day I called and spoke with the manager, told them of my displeasure as well as my intent to review them poorly online. At this point the owner asked to speak with me. He argued with me that I shouldn't leave a poor review and gave me every excuse. Then finally he said "well, if you're gonna leave the review at least put down that you turned down a 100% free move." Well, this was the first I'd heard of it, but for a $3K move, I'll try to be understanding. But, it only gets worse from there. They showed up on the next move day, but not before the director of operations calls to inform us that the owner only meant the 1st day of moving was free (he specifically said "I'm giving you a $3000 move for free) and said they wouldn't deliver the goods until we agreed that this NEW deal was the one we'd agreed to. What choice did we have? Wait it out without any clothes, pots, pans, etc until the court battle was done? They knew they had us held hostage and that we couldn't fight them. SO, they finally arrive. They absolutely destroyed the brand new house (new construction) - every door frame is nicked, walls are covered in marks. Aside from the scratched TV they broke 2 pieces of furniture. They put innumerable boxes in places where they were not supposed to go. Despite the fact that every box was meticulously labeled (And furniture had stickers denoting room destination) they asked EVERY TIME they walked in with another load - they didn't bother reading a single one, essentially making my wife and I stand there and point out where everything went & tying us up all day. They didn't bring ANY of the initial shipment in from the garage. They tried to leave without bringing in the washer and dryer and hooking them up, part of the service. We had to stop them and remind them before they left. After they left we noticed the dryer was, in fact, NOT hooked up. When we called the office, Chris called us back and said "Oh yeah, meant to tell you, I couldn't get that hose on. Nice. In addition, one dangerously overweight mover fell off the truck while screwing around and the ONLY reason he didn't end up in the hospital (opening us up to a giant potential lawsuit) is that he got himself hung up in the back door strap of the truck. He came to rest with his head, LITERALLY, 1 1/2 inches from the ground. Terrifying. So to recap- 1) Erratic behavior by movers 2) Have to constantly babysit the movers & remind them of their job 3) Dozens of items forgotten items 4) Lying management 5) Shoddy work 6) Left a mess (garbage) 7) Damaged goods AND home 8) Near escape from liability/lawsuit due to mover negligence 9) Incomplete job 10) STILL cost me nearly $3K, even after my 'discount' (how they calculated that I'll not even pretend to understand) Between growing up as a military/D.O.D brat & career reasons as an adult, I've made major moves 14 times in my life. This was one of the most expensive and most certainly the very worst Update: in his response to this review he claims to have given me $3K off this move. Well, I paid almost $3K.
