Black Tie Video turned out some PHENOMENAL footage of our wedding but their customer service is severely lacking. We had two videographers who covered our wedding and they were very friendly, extremely competent, and it didn't feel like they were invading during private moments even while capturing them. That being said, our wedding took place at the start of september of last year and we didn't receive anything until the end of January of this year. what we did receive was only given to us after I followed up with Black Tie asking where our stuff was. It was also not the complete product. The final piece was promised soon after and has not been received (6 mo later, after being told it would be along "shortly"). In fact, I called Black Tie and they were under the impression it had been done when it was, in fact, not. They are now supposedly working on it. I think it is the height of unprofessionalism that the client should be forced to pester the vendor for their product. Black Tie does not appear to manage their post-production process remotely adequately. My email trail with them clearly delineated the deliverables and they have not handed them over in a timely or organized fashion. If you put in the effort to stay on top of them, Black Tie will do a great job. It really just seems to take a few phone calls or emails which are usually answered pretty quickly. Again, the video is fantastic and we will keep it for years and years and years and watch it all the time, but it was a pain getting it. read more

Black Tie Video was the perfect choice for my husband and I! We didn't want to spend too much money on our wedding video and Black Tie Video was right in our price range. Although, we didn't pay a high dollar amount, the video quality we received was just what we wanted. Jim Skipper and his team are wonderful to work with. We did not have to meet up before the wedding day. Over email I told Jim my preferences and they nail it. They showed up on the wedding day right on time and were a dream to work with. They were a vendor that I did not have to say a word to the entire time so I often forgot they were there. I actually didn't even get a chance to chat with Jim until later into the reception, but that did not matter. Somehow they showed up and caught every moment without out me even realizing they were there. Jim Skipper is very easy to work with. He makes sure that you love your video and will do anything to make that happen. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good quality video, a reasonable price, and a genuine vendor to work with. read more

We selected the option with the Instant Replay option- our guests could not stop talking about it! They even had the link to us within 48 hours! Black Tie Video (Michael Callahan) videotaped my daughter Jessica's wedding this week. He exceeded all my expectations and then some. His talent and attention to detail was so incredible. Michael took the video of our oldest daughter's wedding in 2007 and did such a fabulous job we hired him to do our youngest daughter's wedding on July 9, 2011. Since 2007 he has added the feature Love Story to his Instant Reply - what a wonderful addition. Our guests are still talking about it. We can't wait to see the finished product. I don't even know where to start.. If you are looking for a wedding videographer, look no further. They are amazing. Mike met with my fiance and I and really got to know us and our personal style. He was able to compose a Instant -Replay with childhood photos AND videos, he had EVERY one of our 200 guests in tears. It was the most amazing day of my life, we have only seen the instant replay so far, but that was the #1 reason that we chose them.
