After weeks of clawing to get response Dave decided he "thinks" they don't have the bandwidth to take on my project. Yet never once did he ask nor would he even meet to learn what the project is. In my experience-based opinion this is yet another modern day cookie-cutter entity that if it can't be done electronically, effortlessly and without any personal interaction, they're afraid to proceed. I (the bride) was the only one who wanted to have a videographer at our wedding, and Jonathan at Waves Media made me look like the smartest person at the wedding! Pre-wedding: Jon was easy to talk to and totally understanding of my predicament. When I finally pulled the trigger and asked him to film our wedding, he jumped right in and made me feel comfortable that he knew what I wanted the film to focus on. Day of: Jon was the perfect vendor. He was on time, focused, friendly, and managed to do all of that while keeping himself and (more importantly) his gear in the background. Video: It made me laugh. WOW, WOW, & WOW some more. I am soooo unbelievably pleased with Waves Media and the amazing video they captured on me and my husband's wedding day. We got married on November 1st and received our short about 4 weeks later, which is an extremely fast turnaround time (in my opinion) and we were BLOWN AWAY! I can't tell you how many times I've already watched the video. As a bride, your wedding day goes by quickly and you don't always remember everything or get to see all the little moments throughout the day. We hired David & Waves because we wanted to capture those moments and get to relive our day and we got exactly that! When we first were exploring the possibility of hiring a videographer, I stumbled upon the owner of the DJ company I hired for my wedding, HIS wedding video and it was done by Waves Media. I cannot comment on the work of Waves Media (although I'm sure it's great), but I can comment on the communication I have received from David Schmitz the owner. He has been ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL to talk to. Accommodating, professional and very nice. I unfortunately cannot afford his services for my upcoming wedding (his prices are very reasonable but I am on a very very tight budget), but he has bent over backwards to try and accommodate me to be a part of my big day. Today is our one year wedding anniversary and we watched our wedding video first thing in the morning. Amazing friendliness starting with our initial meet up at at Starbucks, Jonathan's professionalism and expertise in his craft blew us away on our wedding day. He showed up on time, was focused, did not ask anything of us, but was behind the scenes for every moment, dealt with our Priest's hesitation at allowing a microphone on the groom while on the alter (the microphone was tiny and clipped on the inside of his tux), and even stayed for more than contracted due to our reception being pushed 45 minutes behind due to an incident that was out of our control. We received our "short" video on Christmas Eve and it was the best gift we could have gotten! We were amazed at the "movie-like" smoothness and the amazing graphics. Everyone we showed has commented on how this is the best wedding video they have seen. We received our feature film shortly after and are just as happy with it. Jonathan even responded to one of my questions about adding in a small part of the reception super quick and without hesitation he was able to add it in. A few years back, Waves was the videographer at my best friend's wedding!! From the moment we saw their video, my husband was set on them doing our wedding when it was our time!!
