The staff were very friendly and got us checked in and told us it was open seating. The theater was large and spacious and there was plenty of seating to choose from. Despite being an older theater, the seats were still pretty comfortable. It was a free show and it was a dance company primarily performing hip hop and Latin dance. The quality of the show was superb and the sound quality was also fantastic as the music really took over the space. It was easy to see everything going on. Afterwards, they had a chance to interact with the dancers in their gorgeous lobby and outdoor space. I would highly recommend attending their Sunday programming!

So this review is more for that event but the venue is definitely a five star venue, but I wanna talk about the event just because it was amazing. They had speakers throughout the whole day talking about history of women's efforts in Los Angeles from learning about the central public library to architects trying to break into a male dominated world, and of course, fashion. It was an amazing day learning about all these different aspects of Los Angeles life. I even heard about one group's efforts to write the story of Madame Wong's effort in the Early, LA hard-core punk rock days something that's actually near and dear to me since I loved punk rock talking about bands like black flag, The Circle Jerks, social distortion, channel 3, adolescents, Alice Bag band, Vandals all these great bands. Anyway, the Ebell is a women's group that needs to be supported, embraced and loved as it provides an amazing service for the women of Los Angeles

I truly felt like I could be myself and be accepted. CrashSpace has a lot of tools and machines to work on your various projects. But more importantly, CrashSpace is a COMMUNITY of people from diverse backgrounds, disciplines, and experiences. I think the biggest asset has been the knowledge base that the whole community has and shares with each other. CrashSpace is volunteer run and you can tell that really passionate people invest their heart and soul into keeping this organization alive and thriving. CrashSpace is very active with regularly occurring weekly events, monthly meet-ups, and hands-on workshops. It seems like there is always something fun going on at CrashSpace. I attended events here as a guest and had multiple experiences that raised serious safety concerns…read more At one point, an individual who appeared to be actively using drugs and attempting to steal money from attendees was allowed to remain in the space during an event, despite multiple people being uncomfortable. There was no clear leadership response or removal. Separately, I was invited by a member to an off‑site party connected to this community. After that event, I experienced sudden disorientation and memory loss inconsistent with my alcohol intake. I went to the hospital, was evaluated for head trauma (none found), and the attending physician concluded I was most likely drugged (e.g., roofied). What was most alarming was the response afterward. Rather than concern or accountability, multiple people connected to this group aggressively pushed a narrative that I "just got too drunk" or "hit my head," even after being informed of the medical evaluation stating otherwise. The takeaway was clear: when something serious happens, this community protects itself -- not women who are harmed. There is insufficient leadership, security, or safety protocol to protect members, especially femmes. If your personal safety matters to you at all, I would strongly recommend steering clear.

John, Stuart, and Bruno put their feelings on film...as well as their visions! After the films, was a Q & A session - downstairs, where the elite meet and eat. An assortment of brownie bits, cookies, cheese and cracker platters, lots of roasted almonds, and even a surprise Birthday Cake were available to feast on! And along with a tended bar of wines, waters and sodas. A wonderful jazz trio played in the background, and, above head height, there were cartoons being projected on the wall. Saw people we knew, and met friends we didn't know, until we met them. And it was nice to be out and about, (it's been a while) The staff was great, going the extra mile to get a chair for a senior holding a cane. We'll be back!

The LA Garden Club is part of a larger network of clubs under the umbrella of the California Garden Clubs. The consist of local clubs from the San Francisco Bay Area all the way down to San Diego. I joined the LA Chapter about a year ago. Most of the members consist of little old ladies, so if you are in your 20's or 30's, you will probably stick out. But that's okay because the other members will treat you well. In the LA Club monthly meetings, they always offer baked goods and treats for just $1 donation. The meetings usually consist of a featured guest speaker, followed by a plant/flower display and possibly some plants for sales. Many of the members will also bring cuttings from their garden and offer them for free for others to propagate. The club will also organize events like a visit to the Getty Villa in April, or a tour of local gardens during late spring time/early summer.
