Haven't worked there in a long time, however it was very, very clean, nice for weddings or any occasion. It is a Historic Mansion, I understand that they cannot make any structure changes, however I think painting is allowed. This information will help the next caterer and/or client. You may bring in your own caterer of choice. The care taker is very nice and accommodating, the kitchen is not modern, however it is very functional, they have 2 double sinks (with the hottest water in town) The stove is old but works 100 per cent, double ovens that holds plenty of pans at one time for heating food, about 10 or 12 burners, commercial cooler, and freezer, prep tables available (all appliances are operational). They have a bar on the inside as well as a bar for the outside. Immaculate restrooms, very well supplied with soaps, paper towels, etc. (here I go again, I would add a towel that does not need to filled up before flushing again) They are located on the corner of Adams and 5th Ave in the Crenshaw district, the streets are wide. You may use Valet Parking for the guest, however the caterer and all deliveries may park in the back of the Mansion for drop offs. I would recommend the grounds for an event as for the inside, and keep in mind this is just my #truth needs some paint (very light grey with a little darker grey for trim available at Dunn Edwards, and updated window coverings, (in my opipion it is Vintage) IJS, LOL BTW, they need to add a RAMP as it is not caterer friendly nor Handicap friendly! I would recommend it for a venue, the grounds decorate beautifully and they have all that a caterer need to execute an event.

I had my wedding at the Wilfandel house. The whole process was easy. The property is beautiful. I choose it because it looks like what I imagine a rich aunt or grandmother's house would be. I wanted a homey feeling and Wilfandel delivered. I recommend this location for your wedding or birthday party.

I had a graduation event here on 6/26/19 and everything was wonderful. It was a lovely space and all of our guests commented on how pretty the venue was. Robert was very helpful with the planning and set up, and everything went smoothly. I would definitely use this space again!

I just had my wedding and reception at the Wilfandel Club a little over a week ago and overall it turned out to be a beautiful affair with wonderful memories I will cherish forever. The place is a bit rustic but a very good deal. The property is one of those historic homes in the West Adams district of Los Angeles. A few things to be aware of; they do not allow you to set up reception tables on the lawn, they have to be on the paved driveway side. The chairs for the ceremony can be on the lawn though. Also, they do not allow lit candles for safety reasons. If you want candles for your table decor they have to be flameless. The cost of renting this venue only includes the space, you have to hire your own vendors for catering, flowers, photography, music and decor. But with how inexpensive the venue you is can still stay in budget when you include the other vendors. They do provide chairs and have about 8 round tables and two 6-foot rectangular tables. We rented rectangular 8-foot tables and placed them end to end to have that long banquet table look. The backyard is beautiful and it was really great to have the upstairs bridal and groom suites to have a charming space for you and your bridal party to get ready. Overall a really good experience.

Will spare you the screenshots; Ultimately, I truly valued my four years as a member. Hopefully the club can take a more consistent, less impulsive, member-focused approach in the future.

We headed downstairs for the event and kicked things off with appetizers. that hummus with pita and fresh veggies? dangerous. smooth, flavorful, and beyond addictive. I had three plates and would've gone back for more if i didn't need to save room. I thought, "okay, this is a solid start"... but you know how these things go, sometimes the appetizers are the peak. Not here! Then... the entrées came out, and I knew I was in the right place. We enjoyed: fresh, crisp salad juicy fried chicken creamy mashed potatoes steamed broccoli a vegan mushroom pasta so good it had me singing and humming. The standout: tender, perfectly cooked salmon topped with pickled veggies -- an unexpected treat that took the flavor to a whole new level. after one bite, Iinstantly knew this is how i'll be cooking my salmon from now on. i'm talking rich, savory, soulful perfection. The staff? wonderful. attentive, kind, and fully in tune with the energy of the event. the kind of service that makes you feel cared for without hovering. Overall, the gathering spot left me thoroughly impressed -- from the ambiance to the food to the hospitality. I would absolutely host an event here, and i'll be back whenever i'm in town because I fully intend to work my way through their entire menu. This place is a gem. Check them out!

The staff were very friendly and got us checked in and told us it was open seating. The theater was large and spacious and there was plenty of seating to choose from. The quality of the show was superb and the sound quality was also fantastic as the music really took over the space. It was easy to see everything going on. Afterwards, they had a chance to interact with the dancers in their gorgeous lobby and outdoor space. I would highly recommend attending their Sunday programming!

So this review is more for that event but the venue is definitely a five star venue, but I wanna talk about the event just because it was amazing. They had speakers throughout the whole day talking about history of women's efforts in Los Angeles from learning about the central public library to architects trying to break into a male dominated world, and of course, fashion. It was an amazing day learning about all these different aspects of Los Angeles life. I even heard about one group's efforts to write the story of Madame Wong's effort in the Early, LA hard-core punk rock days something that's actually near and dear to me since I loved punk rock talking about bands like black flag, The Circle Jerks, social distortion, channel 3, adolescents, Alice Bag band, Vandals all these great bands. Anyway, the Ebell is a women's group that needs to be supported, embraced and loved as it provides an amazing service for the women of Los Angeles

We used Camp because it was part of our neutering package with the shelter we adopted him from. The first two times, they said they could not find his testicles. We paid to have an ultrasound performed at our Vet, who were able to find both testicles, both undescended. Unfortunately, they do not do the more in-depth neutering procedure required for undescended testicles. So, we called Camp again to make an appointment and asked specifically for a location that could perform the more complex procedure due to the undescended testicles and use an ultrasound. The Call Center assured us that the Van Nuys location had an ultrasound and could perform the procedure. We took him in today for the procedure. Not only did they "search around for 30 minutes for the testicles" and not find them (their words), but we only found out afterward that they in fact do not have and did not use an ultrasound for the procedure. So, they put our dog through a procedure for nothing, charged us for it (because too much time had elapsed from our original adoption, due to the first 2 failed attempts), and they are now refusing to do anything about it, saying they are sorry but the Call Center person must have been confused. When we asked for an email or phone number for a manager we could speak with directly, the only thing they provided was an email address back to the Call Center. Not acceptable. For my wedding (6/11/16) I needed every moment to be setup with the soundtrack of my wife's and my relationship. I had very specific moods and tones I wanted for each part of the wedding. They were able to work hand in hand with my coordinator to stick to our schedule and when it came to emcee they did so clearly and professionally. Open dance was a dream, they live mixed all the music and kept the party going until the very end. They were able to read the floor and adjust to keep the energy high and the party banging. I received many compliments from my guests noting the song selection and atmosphere created from pre-ceremony to the last song. Infested with bedbugs, lice roaches, and everything else you can imagine, no working fire extinguishers, the only accessible microwave pictured is so dangerous I could not get a good enough picture of the Rigged up wiring, nor how filthy it really is. The beds were so big there was no way to move them. We could not even scoot the bed to open a window a quarter of an inch for air. No exaggerations! The staff were extremely abusive, especially Liz, who was in charge of managing the house, all she did was start problems. My friend nearly died. She had end-stage kidney failure on dialysis and had a series of major seizures, and Liz did not want us to call 911! Stating she was faking! She nearly bit her tongue off, they had to stitch her tongue. The residents did not shower for the most part, there was only two bathrooms and well over 30 people living there. They were covered in every type of filth imaginable even Liz! Here she is cooking food and the entire time I was there she did not shower one time I was there for about four months, it felt like eternity . There used to be more reviews on this place and apparently they were taken down. They were all negative and all saying the same thing I have and more. Also in the pictures you can see that there are no ladders so the beds were so tall there was no way you could get up there except for with a stepladder that was not even safe. The bottom step didn't even work on it there was one working step ladder for All three beds. Everything so cramped that there was only room for one person to stand on the floor at one time with six people crammed into a 12 x 12 room with mattresses wrapped in cellophane which just held the bedbugs in nicer... Once a week they would spray, but they would make us all take all of our stuff out of the room and throw it in the filthy living room while they went in for about five minutes and just sprayed everything wet, dripping, bedbug spray and then expected us just put our stuff right back on top of wet, bedbug spray. So all of us were exposed to horrible chemicals and it was nothing short of a nightmare. There was several times when there was nothing to eat. This was very common. They had plenty of donated food, and they kept peoples food stamps, but they never used any of that food stamp money on food! All we got were outdated and refrozen donations from places like Whole Foods or whatever, but they would be months old. Every now and then they would pull out a box from the back garage and leave it in the dining area which only had one table and we would have to live on things like donated pizza crust. We couldn't even open the bedroom door all the way, because there was no room to open the door, these were World War II army bunks you would think with $500 a month per person that they are getting actually more than that for the people on the pilot program they're getting 575 a month and they can't even afford furniture?! They didn't even have bedding. What really made me sick as they claimed to be a safe place for people seeking recovery! Having nearly 22 years of sobriety, I almost went out because of the stress and deplorable situation that I was living in, and all the drugs around me! Thank God, I found a safe place just in time! Even Skid Row shelters are cleaner than this! Another thing is the ambulances would dump Patient at this facility. The managers would have no idea that somebody was coming and the hospital would just released them and have them dropped off on the property when we didn't even have beds available, not that they wouldn't put somebody on the floor as they had in the past as well as even in the van in the front yard. The picture of the person seated in the dining room is the same person that was trashing the street in the picture where I'm hiding behind the fence at 3 AM as they were high on methamphetamine. Going absolutely bonkers. It was really disgusting if you can imagine, coming into a place and looking at that empty top bunk that was open in the one picture and not even having bedding and the mattress being covered in bedbugs... welcome to the house of no hope.
