Wow!!!!! I would give 6 stars if I could. What an incredible meat restaurant in a small town. Recommended through a friend who comes tubing here. Soo much space both indoors and outdoors to sit and eat with friends. We ordered a few drinks, highly recommend the wine flight seen in the pictures, the flaming cheese, complimentary garlic bread, and then the steak! I don't think you can go wrong with any meat but we got the 36 oz steak to split three ways. We got amazing baked potatoes and broccoli as sides plus a lamb chop! Who would have thought you could get that as a side. Excellent! A friend got the rib eye and it was incredible. Honestly we almost came back the next day because it was so incredible. Planning another trip back to get this meal!!!

We took our mother of 92 out to eat here when we were back in Town. She has mentioned lobster for years but Would never order it. This time we did. Tge Blackhawk steak pit is a supper club by the rock River. It's rather dark inside like most supper clubs. Service was great. They have a salad bar that was outstanding. We ordered prime rib chicken breast, and lobster. All were great except the chicken was over cooked but did have a great flavor. I would go back just for the salad bar. All employees were great. Service was outstanding. Prices were good too.

Pretty good, the service is decent and the price isn't too bad. Calamari and porterhouse are the way to go.

Excellent prime rib! Good service and nice atmosphere. Asphalt floor was kind of strange, though.

Ogle County Brewery is one of the few places around here to get beers that's not "something Light" or comes in a can filled who knows when. Also a place to get some small bites that's not typical bar food. They have kind of a small selection but there's variety. Bigger than it looks once one gets inside. It's a great use of an old building, and they share it with one of those hardcore gyms with the CrossFit and stuff. The bar is where we got seats, and we got to watch some games on the big TV. Good prices on the craft beers. It's about $6 a pint. Best of these we had was the Oktoberfest. This was malty and sweet, and had a creamy texture. Also there's food. It's about $12 for an appetizer, which is most of what's on the food menu. Had to try the Guacamole Bites. These are avocado, cilantro, lime, onions, and tomatoes in tortilla chips breading, good stuff. Even though the beer selection is kind of limited, there's several styles to choose from. It's got a kitchen along with a menu of appetizers, sandwiches, and more. They're open every weekday along with more hours on weekends.

It certainly has quite a few things on tap. A lot more in cans. They also have a few snacks. By the looks of the outside it wasn't anything special, just like a warehouse or something common. It's a lot more interesting inside. The taproom has enough room for the bar, and quite a few tables. Got a view into the back to see where the beers are made. There's a balcony where bands can play live music too. Beers are why people come of course. It's about $7 a pint. Best one we had of these was the Tawny Ale. This is an Irish Red of medium strength. It's about $12 for a soft pretzel. These are massive so they're great for sharing. One of the dips looked like peanut butter. This was actually fudge if you can believe it, and you can get cheese as well as mustard. For sure it's one of this city's main attractions. It's got lots of beers, and because it's in the Pretzel City, get one of those to munch on. They're closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

They have a variety of beers and one named after Freeport the Pretzel City! They have lagers, pilsners and ales. The environment is relaxing and the building stands out ! Since the main road is under construction , GPS did not help, but after we realized it kept rerouting us to the closed road. If in the area, stop in. Also their beer can be found in many locations in the Rockford area and some Binnys.

It certainly is a welcome change from the corporate swill. Also just a nice place to hang. The prices are pretty good for being small and local. Kind of unexpected with it being a small one. There's actually a good amount including some fruity sours. It's about $7 a pint. We had a few with the best of these being the More Than A Weekend. It's a summer melon lager. They also make cocktails if that's a preference. For sure it's the best place in town for beers. It's located in downtown in a historic building that's cool to check out. They do not serve food. They now offer cans and growlers to go. You can sit by the open windows in the front of the tap room ,at the bar or at one of the hi tops. There is a gaming area in the back of the taproom as well. Plenty of street parking available. Nice place to relax and enjoy a locally sourced beer in Princeton.
