Been looking around for the Llumar ceramic series tint and not many installers in my area. The few I found, their quotes were on the high side but stumbled on the team at Blackout that came in a reasonable pricing. The shop was a bit further than I hope but to save $200-$300, makes sense to go the extra distance. Adrian at Blackout was quick to respond from Yelp and afterwards on email. Was able to secure a Saturday appointment. The work was completed an hour later than quoted but fine with me. Rather spend time doing it right than rushing, an extra hour or two is not a big deal. Overall, the tint job looks excellent. Tinted all windows and also the windshield (Llumar Air80). It's been a few weeks and the tint has settled in nicely. It was suggested to leave the car in the sun for at lease 3-5 days to help the tint dry properly and no washing or rolling down windows. I didn't touch the windows for 2 weeks. No bubbles or imperfections. Great install. The only nit pick I would have is that I had to ask for the LLumar warranty card. It should be part of the receipt, especially for products with lifetime warranties. Great experience with the team at Blackout and worth the drive down to Gilroy. Good pricing and service. I have brought all three of my Tesla's to Blackout for complete tinting, PPF and ceramic coating. The work was outstanding, done in a timely manner and they kept me up to date on the progress. Their pricing was better than three other estimates as well. 25 plus years of local service is the key. If you do not produce quality work, you will not stay in business. The experience was excellent and we are happy with the results! We got the Air80 on all the windows. There is a faint blue visible and then with polarized sunglasses there is a bit of rainbow haze but it is basically clear (what we asked for). We just wanted the tinting for the heat reduction and did not want much change in visibility. Honestly the hardest part was remembering to keep the windows shut for a couple of days. The drop off and pick up were super smooth. I was able to drop off the car before work and pick it up on my lunch break. It was ready earlier but there was no issue with me getting there a little later. Whenever we get a new car I will definitely return. read more

I requested to have my front windows tinted darker. Originally I had 75% but realized how it wasn't helping with the heat as much as I thought it would. So I got them retinted to 10% on both. Adrian and his team responded quickly compared to all the other companies I asked for quotes for my brand new performance tesla model 3. Even out of waiting for other companies to respond, Blackout Gilroy was still the cheapest option for what I wanted done, and it was a lot. First, I wanted full ppf protection, windows tinted, wrap the interior wood trim to carbon fiber, and full ceramic coating. If they told me it is a month to complete, I would have been no problem, but holy....these guys went above and beyond knocked my car out within a week and a half. They even shocked me with the chrome delete option and changed all my emblems to matching black ones for free!!!! On top of that they even ceramic coated my brake calipers too!!!! Hell yeah the people at Blackout Gilroy know how to get big projects done, offer many options on tints/wraps, and how much ppf like full, front, or bumper or type of suntek ppf and 3m ceramic coating. I got my 2023 Tesla Model Y tinted at Blackout, Llumar IRX Ceramic tint all around including front windshield, Headlights and Taillights tinted light smoke, and got Inozetek vinyl wrapped in Nardo Gray. Adrian was the main point of contact for the whole project and he was very clear and concise with the whole procedure. My project was two separate projects, the tinting on one day and the wrap took approximately 12 days on a separate visit. First I took my Mache to have the full windows (including windshield) tint with 3M crystalline. Adrian and his team did an excellent job. Although there was some imperfections on the windshield tint the first time, Adrian inspected and re-installed it again perfectly. I was told 3M crystalline was so hard to install so it was not their fault. With all the excellent job he did, I then brought my i4 to have the windshield tint with 3M crystalline. Of course he did an amazing job again for my i4. I highly recommend this place if you want your windows with perfect tint, good customer service and reasonable price.
