Oil change, tire rotation, new brakes and rotors. When I arrived my air conditioning worked perfectly fine. When i started my car at pickup it has worked since. i was told it was nothing they did after they gave me a laundry list of upgrades. Was heading to Columbia saw Black's Had a slow leak in one of my tires and we have a Black's where lm from that we use... Quick fix we thought... Sat there for about 30 minutes and we told them we had to get back on the road.. After a total of 40 minutes they still haven't moved our car so I asked for my keys and left.. We will stick with the Black's in our town.. Unsatisfied!! read more

went for an oil change & sat there for 3 and a half hours! Lobby was full so I sat outside for 2 hours, went inside & asked how much longer they said my car was next. still waited an hour and a half! Never again. I understood that there were busy, but 3.5 hours for an oil change is ridiculous! Nobody even apologized about the wait. I understand also that they go by what problems your car is having, but the lobby was clear & people who got there after me were long gone before I left. read more

Screw was in my tire during a trip from Maryland to Florida and could not keep air in the tire. Found this place and they were absolutely amazing!!! Got us right in, took care of the issue and got us right back on the road. And even did it "ON THE HOUSE" (his exact words). I couldn't believe it, especially since we were in the position to be gouged if desired (the usual move). This place, the people, AMAZING!!! These guys are absolutely incredible. I was lucky enough to find them on a road trip between Wilmington and Miami. I came in with several random issues and they fixed me up in literally five minutes. Absolutely the worst tire shop in the area. My wife was stranded with a flat tire on a Saturday morning. After calling the location they assure her they can get the car on the road by 1pm (closing time). After waiting for well over an hour she was told that the tire can't be replaced until Monday (this news was perfectly timed with 1pm) The wheel was taken to my family's house and the tire changed with tire levers! After this experience today I would not trust these amateurs to safely change the tire on my wheel barrow without adult supervision! read more

I was traveling back home to Massachusetts from a road trip to Florida with my children, when we had a tire blow out on route 95 late on a Friday night. Luckily, we were able to get to a hotel thanks to a lovely couple, but the car was stranded on the side of the road. I called Paul Belk at 7:20am the next morning and he was able to arrange for the car to be towed over 40miles to the tire shop, replace the tire, and get us safely back on the road within no time. He was even kind enough to drive to the hotel where we were stranded during his break to pick us up and bring us to the tire shop. He was courteous and helped to alleviate the anxiety we were feeling. My children learned a great lesson about the kindness that does exist in the world. I would highly recommend Paul and his crew. read more

I had an emergency. A flat tire. I managed to get to Black's, and was helped right away. They showed me my tire, so I could see the damage (it was extensive! Apparently, a belt broke and shredded it). They gave me a choice of tires, and didn't try to "mansplain". The details were discussed, the options reviewed, and the new tire was on in less than 20 minutes. The staff members were all friendly, and we joked around a bit. Thank you so much for getting me home safely!! This isn't my home Black's location (That's in Lumberton), but if I ever have someone ask me where in Florence to get great help, this is where I'll send them! Their prices are high, but their service is generally good. However, they do not take care of their employees. At some locations, employees are working out in the hot sun and cold weather without any type of awning or protection. read more

Had two different visits -- first for my brakes and rotors. Did just what I needed at a fair price very quickly. They also found a problem caused by a recent tow/transport that I would have never known about otherwise. (Other people had looked at my car and never said a word.) appreciated them looking out for me. Back again recently to have my air conditioner fixed. They started with the least expensive way to repair the a/c instead of just replacing things that didn't need to be replaced. Appreciated them saving me hundreds of dollars!! I was traveling through South Carolina on my way home to Georgia when the Kelly tires on my truck decided to implode. My local store told me before my trip that I had a few thousand miles left in them, but no, they had about 500. Both back tires imploded within a few miles of each other. I limped into Black's on the spare and the rim. I was also towing a horse trailer that I bought in NC and planned to replace the tires when I got it home to Georgia. I arrived just after Black's opened and three and a half hours later I left with two new back tires on the truck and four new tires on the trailer. The service was outstanding. They beat the prices offered by my local shop and I as I pulled away after three hours, I wished that I had them replace all four on the truck. They put the spare back in its spot underneath the truck. They let me bring in my dog into the waiting area and offered water for him. The waiting area was clean and the chairs were spaced out well because of COVID-19. They had a lot of customers while I was there; it's obviously a well liked store and with good reasons: outstanding customer service and great prices. If I lived in Florence, they would be my source for all my tires. Thanks for taking great care of my truck today! read more

On our vacation to Florida our tire blew on 95 south. After 12 hours of driving then tire blowing , then getting spare on we found blacks tire. And thank god. We were here as they were opening and were greeted by Paul and the service was awesome. Even though we were tired and a bit cranky our moods instantly changed due to the great service. Estimated work to be done "by noon," which turned into "later this afternoon" when I dropped it off first thing in the morning. Called about an hour before they were closing, was told that they had not even begun working on my vehicle.
