She made sure we were completely comfortable and had everything we need. She was very clear and concise on the rules which I appreciated. The entire house was very well out together. Super clean and roomy as well. I appreciated how well the walls blocked out sounds from the other rooms. I wouldn't have even known anyone was there if I hadn't seen them. Bed was comfortable, got enough pillows, and I slept like a baby! I had a wonderful time exploring their property. The St Mary River literally runs right though their backyard. It's one of the most gorgeous backyards I've ever seen. I didn't see much wildlife, but I would bet it's an awesome spot for viewing if you have binoculars. Now the best part of a B&B: Morning came and there was a fresh pot of coffee ready and in the fridge, a delicious breakfast. Homemade spinach quiche with turkey sausage, scone and berries with yogurt. It was delicious! Overall I had a fantastic experience at St Mary's River B&B and I will definitely be reconsider staying here on my next road trip through BC.

The common where we hung out and met other travelers area is also very nice. The kitchen is fully equipt so we even cooked a few things! The surrounding nature breathtaking with spectacular views. There is a river that easily offers more than an entire day of fun - fishing, swimming etc.. we even floated down it on an inner tube! The hosts Doug and Dale are super friendly and offered up lots of tips for things to do in Banff. We will be back for sure!

Birch Meadows Lodge B & B is a beautiful home about 5 minutes from the Fernie ski resort. It's…read morenicely tucked away up a little road in the mountains off the highway. (If you are there in the winter, be sure to have either a 4 wheel drive vehicle or some tire chains handy.) There's the main house as well as a couple of log cabins set on over 50 acres of breathtaking mountain views. My husband and I have stayed there a few times in the last two years...we couldn't imagine saying anywhere else when we head to Fernie! We like to stay in of the little log cabins, which are cozy and nicely decorated. There's a small gas fireplace to curl up in front of after a long day on the slopes and out the window you have perfectly an unobstructed view of the surrounding mountains. Outside there's a large hot tub next to the main house as well as a nice sitting area indoors with games and movies that can be taken back to your room/cabin for the night. Sonya and Marcel are wonderful hosts...they make you feel right at home! The breakfasts are always delicious with a nice selection of different items & treats. We always leave stuffed! If you are an animal lover, remember to bring some carrots for Slider (resident horse) and give lots of cuddles to the owners friendly dogs. Birch Meadows is the perfect place to stay when in Fernie...you won't want to leave!

After an afternoon walking among the historical buildings of the reclaimed Fort Steele, a RCMP fort…read moreand gold era boom town, we drove across the street and over to this delightful B&B. It's truly a sheep farm, though now converting to a farm for three pet sheep, an older dog, and maybe a few cows. The owners are quite pleasant, and the grandmother is one heck of a terrific cook. The guest room, one of the two, was comfortable, with a full length couch, two well padded easy chairs, and a large coffee table. The kitchen area has a sink, refrigerator, cook top and microwave. There's a small dining table. There might have been AC but good cross ventilation obviated that need. The hosts are personable and readily made us comfortable, making us immediately feel part of the family. The setting is delightful: on a knoll high on the back side of the farm, overlooking three natural ponds, a big red barn and an equipment shed. While there a neighbor came by to discuss and plan for an exchange of sheep meat for fresh hay. On the morning we left the men were reducing the sheep herd down to three. Breakfast was true German, with sausage, rolls, breads, eggs, juice and coffee. All from the farm, the sausage and breads hand made, the eggs fresh, only the juice and coffee from off the farm. If you're traveling through Fort Steele, take the time to stop and visit, and enjoy this terrific experience.

It is an easy drive to quaint towns in the area, has amazing lighting, delicious breakfasts, and you leave feeling well-rested and healthy. Janet is by far the best hostess I've ever known. She is gracious, kind, warm, makes you feel like family, and has an amazing life to share over tea. I never wanted to leave.

We enjoyed our stay at the historic Baker Hill BnB. Even though we just dropped in checking for…read moreavailability, hostess, Gladys, greeted us warmly and gave us a tour of her lovely home. We chose our room, unpacked and enjoyed fresh brewed coffee and homemade cookies before heading out to explore the town. The house and room is warm and cozy unlike other heritage homes in which we have stayed. And the breakfast? Wow! Delicious! Gladys sent us happily on our way with fresh baked muffins which we were to fill to eat at breakfast. We will definitely stay here again on our way through Cranbrook.

We also went through them for some rentals and were also very satisfied with their service. They are flexible to work with and have a great menu selection. The rooms are rustic and clean..Some dust etc but it's the first in Montana! Washing machines on site. Very homey in the hunting cabin style. Everyone was so kind. My daughter and i really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back soon! Thanks John !
