Captain Mark and his crew took us fishing and snorkeling at multiple locations around the north and south islands of Bimini as well as adjacent uninhabited islands. We were in the water with friendly stingrays, sharks and turtles. We saw sunken ships and the Bimini Road which is part of the legend of Atlantis! Alex was our captain and was great the entire trip. Super friendly, easy to talk to, and did a nice job pointing out houses, yachts, and different spots along the water without overdoing it. Wasn't a lot of talk or education but he got us out there and showed us some gators. We saw large ones and even a nest of babies about 4 months old. A couple of quick glances of turtles as they slid into the water at the sound of the boat. The boat had 3 rows of seats and could comfortably hold 3 people per row. It was clean and looked well maintained. The ride was smooth and I did not ever feel like we were unsafe or at risk of falling into the water since they don't use seat belts. He charged us $27.50 per rider and excepted Credit Cards. This was very fun and not being crammed into a boat with 40 other people was exactly what we wanted.

Years back we got a chance to visit Everglades National Park but never did an airboat. Our group of 36 people were taken here where we were given stickers with a letter on it. When your letter is called on the PA, you line up single file to get on the next available airboat. Earplugs are available if you need them. Our airboat tour was about twenty minutes. Just enough to appreciate the Everglades. We spotted one gator and a couple of birds. The airboat wasn't as noisy as I anticipated as the engine is in back. Hold on to your hats and baseball caps as it's windy. There's a gift shop and a food truck around the corner. You can visit the wildlife exhibit and there's a talk from a naturalist on the two gators in residency. There's an opportunity to pet a baby gator too. Now I can check off airboat experience off my bucket list.

He took us to Compass Cay to swim with the nurse sharks, and to Staniel Cay for lunch. The water was the most beautiful we had ever seen, and Evvie took us to some very off the beaten path spots. The second trip we went to Long Island for lunch with Tonio, and then fishing on the way back. Tonio is very personable and also knowledgeable. He filleted our fish for us on the dock and then hooked up us with a local place who BBQd it fresh. The other thing about Island Boy is they do not do open charters, you rent the boat so it's totally private and customized. We had a great time on their charters, highly recommend!
