I really like this place! I had never heard of it and found it here on Yelp. I moved to Minnetonka this past weekend. The service was fast despite how busy it is here. I love the butterscotch latte (highly recommend). Was greeted with a smile by friendly staff and there were a couple of tables open but I wish there was more space! The struggle of going somewhere popular. The coffee was kinda expensive as well but if you're a grad student like me -- it might be a great study spot.

A busy, but great and cozy little coffee shop creating specialty crafted coffees, teas, and other drinks, as well as delicious breakfast and lunch bites. This was my first visit, but it was visibly very popular as every table was full. The attendant at the counter was absolutely delightful. She recommended her favorite latte, and that's precisely what I went with: a Blueberry Iced Latte. My first time trying one and it did not disappoint ;) The blueberry syrup is strong, so if you're not a big blueberry fan, this might not be your jam. I went for their "Healthy choice" breakfast sandwich, which consisted of a fried egg, roasted tomatoes, and onions (I asked them to 86 my onions), Swiss cheese, and sliced turkey deli, warmed between two multigrain toasts that had a pesto sauce smeared on each slice in place of butter. It was savory, juicy, slightly sweet, and full of flavor--a filling morning bite which paired perfectly with my Blueberry latte. The vibes at this location are verrrrry casual, but their focus is on serving good coffee. They were pretty busy, and I did have a slight wait --primarily for my meal --but I would revisit, as everything, including the sandwiches, is made fresh, which makes all the difference in quality and flavor. It appears they are trying to address that by hiring more staff. All in all, Blackwater Coffee & Cafe had all the elements I appreciated in a first visit to a new coffee shop: good customer service, and a wide selection of drinks and bites.

Visited in a late Monday morning after looking for a new coffee shop to check out on the way to a playground with my kids. The shop itself is pretty standard and kind of tucked into the corner of a strip mall. Might not be a bad place to do some work if you live in the area. I got an ice coffee which was actually not bad at all. So why only 3 stars. The drip coffee my wife got tasted little different than gas station. Unfortunately. Now I do know as my wife says I'm am coffee snob. But I really hope for better at these places. I'm sure the lattes and such are good though if that's your thing.

I walked in on a Tuesday around 3:45pm and only had one customer in front of me. I read they make their chai syrup in house so I knew I needed to try it. My drink was SO delicious!! I wish there was a Blackwater closer to Shakopee so I could get it more often. I got the iced Maple Cinnamon Cream Chai to-go and highly recommend you stop by to grab one too!

A cute suburb coffee shop! It was busy the whole time we worked remotely from there. Loved that they have milk tea, coffee, and food options. The tonka latte was pretty good. The wifi worked well and there were plenty of tables and nook areas for working or chatting.

I got a sesame oat matcha! it was definitely something I have never had before but it was very good! The staff were very friendly and helpful when asking about different options! There was a lot of space in the building to do work as well as outside space!

This place is a gem in an area of the twin cities without many local coffee shops. Some things I love about it: - friendly smiling service -free parking lot right outside - cleanliness -variety of the menu You can get anything from a hot coffee to a bubble tea here and both are equally as good. I haven't tried to food yet but looks like a great menu. There were multiple places with an outlet if needed. My favorite spot is next to the fireplace in the armchairs or right by the window in their booths.

I grew up going to the Maple Plain location, and I was really excited to check out this one today. The coffee was good, and the interior ambiance was nice. Service was also fast and friendly. I would certainly recommend checking this location out! It's got a nice modern feel while still incorporating a fireplace to add a a little bit of Caribou style to it.

Wanted to introduce some family visiting from Chicago to my Lady Friend. She asked if I had been to Blackwater. When it was a different chain a few years ago I had gone a few times but not to the new place. We agreed to check it out. First the gentleman behind the counter was very professional. He made up three Chai latte for the rels and my girl. For me I got an iced coffee. Secondly I noticed on the wall some very sophisticated menu items for any restaurant. Surprising for a coffee shop. I will come back soon with a few friends and sample the food items because it looks so good. As per the Chai and the iced coffee? They were very good.

I popped in here for a quick coffee to get some work done and enjoy a nice cup of coffee. Loved the coffee menu and that they provide the WiFi password at checkout easy for you to grab it before you get seated. Good coffee spot.

After dropping my son off to work I needed to do a Trader Joe's run. But first coffee. Blackwater is in the same area as TJ's so it was perfect to pop in and grab some morning java. I ordered the turtle mocha and it was tasty. Service was fast and they had matcha and tea as well. They had plenty of parking and lots of tables for seating.

I've been to Blackwater 4 times now since I'm frequently in the area and I've had great experiences every time! The 2 baristas I've talked to have been helpful with drink recommendations that I've enjoyed, the seats by the fireplace are comfy, and there are a lot of outlets for when I've wanted to do some work there. I like their big mural and the plants too. Drinks I've tried and enjoyed: iced tanka latte, blackwater sesame, and the dirty chai

Stopped in to meet a friend for coffee and was pleasantly surprised! We got breakfast sandwiches and coffee. I was also impressed with the price of everything. The sandwich was so tasty but didn't break the bank. It was definitely a busier time I went at but still felt quiet and lots of room to sit. Both my friend and I decided this will be our new coffee shop to meet at! The staff was very knowledgeable about the gluten free options.

Save your money. Expensive and coffee is mid at best. $21 for one 20oz macchiato and one 16oz oat milk latte. Nope...

It's been a few years since my last review of Crossroads Deli, but my rating remains high. Their…read morematzo ball soup is one of the best versions available in the Twin Cities. Today I tried their Roast Beef on Weck, which is carved roast beef on a type of roll called a Weck (a Kaiser-style roll topped with coarse salt and caraway seeds.). The restaurant was busy, and this is not a trendy place! I'd be surprised if there was anyone in the restaurant who was not of Medicare age (which also describes me; I'm not being ageist, just truthful). This is something that is available for lunch, during the week (not on weekends). Previously, I wanted to order this before. It was at the beginning of the lunch hour, so unfortunately the end pieces were cooked well-done. I asked if they would cut from the center, which is much more rare, but they wouldn't do that. This time, we came later and I could see that the roast beef was gloriously rare, which is what I like. The sandwich was quite enjoyable because it was juicy and flavorful. It comes with a side of cole slaw which is vinegar based (which I liked, but isn't traditional in the Midwest). It's difficult to find good, rare roast been in the Twin Cities, so this was another good find. My wife had the matzo ball soup, which remains high quality. The beef on weck sandwich (with coleslaw) was nearly $20, which is a bit on the expensive side. The service is spotty. It depends upon who is your waitstaff person (I knew it would be slow based on our previous experience with this person).

I have been coming to Crossroads Deli for over 25 years. September 2024, the brothers ( Scott and…read moreStu) sold the business to a corporation which owns approximately 5-6 other restaurants. I immediately started to worry. Unfortunately my worries have slowly " come true" ...and with an extremely upset heart, Crossroads has changed. Scott and Stu had dedication and sheer love of cooking and baking with the BEST of ingredients and exquisite rare perfect use of spices. Their flavors in everything they touched were some of the VERY BEST I have experienced nationally and in my home state of NY where my father taught Biochemistry in the Bronx at Einstein Med School (1955-1980) and where my intense passion for Delicatessen cuisine originated. Coming almost daily to Crossroads truly made my day! I adored EVERYTHING they created. Even shipped a large lemon coconut cake to mom's beloved 90 year old boss at Scarsdale Medical Center 8 years ago! Today: Their rye bread with caraway seeds was identical to Grossinger's. Now almost zero flavor. The broasted chicken if served hot fresh out of the cooker is still excellent. Some of the original spices gone. The lemon coconut cake has zero real lemon flavor just deep yellow coloring, Their pastrami and corned beef also lost 1/3 to 1/2 of their original flavor plus the size of the sandwiches 1/3-1/2 the original size. The new main dishes are almost tasteless. Their original recipes for matzo ball soup, etc are still good - - vary 8-10 rating. They no longer use as much/ perhaps any butter in their coffee cake " breads" which used to be a 10. Many cookies and tiny pastries in the same display case are still good. Compared to many other restaurants today they are now just " an ok". Gone are the days when Crossroads Deli was " TRULY SPECTACULAR "......
