I ordered the London Frog; their speciality drink as they say, which is their spin on a London fog. It is a tea based drink with orange and espresso, and it was incredible... seriously one of the better coffee drinks I've ever ordered. 100% would order this again. I also got the pastrami sandwich with a side of chips. It was only $9 so I didn't expect too much or anything too fancy. It was a standard sandwich, toasted with a few typical toppings, but it was delicious and did the trick for a yummy lunch. I'll be coming to Walden Coffee again for sure.

It definitely woke me up. :) I would recommend if you are someone who likes not too sweet, nutty, and not too bitter teas. We both enjoyed the Tibetan momos -- the meat filling ones are definitely soupier which was enjoyable. The veggie dumplings tasted better with more of the chili crisp oil. The mochi ice cream most likely used the ones from MyMochi packs but the cream was nice to have and it was a fun sweet treat! Definitely would come back with family or friends when visiting the cities again. Drinks we got at the front where we ordered but they brought food for us which was nice since we decided to stay in to eat lunch. Seems like it's a nice place to study and work and they have WiFi. The place is nicely decorated with Tibetan decor and plaques talking about the history/background which was cool. They weren't rude, but they came across as pretty standoffish, which made the experience feel less welcoming than the space itself. I ordered the light roast coffee and, unfortunately, it was pretty terrible. That said, the menu is huge with lots of different drinks and food options, so I'm sure there's something on it that would be a much better choice. I also didn't try any of the pastries, but they looked absolutely massive and definitely caught my attention. Overall, I really wanted to like this place more. The atmosphere is great and it seems like an excellent spot to work or relax for a while, but the coffee and less than welcoming service left me a little underwhelmed. this place is unlike any other coffee shop for all the right reasons…read more cheap prices? check neighbor hood vibe? double check cute and quirky? oh yes. they offer DOLLAR coffees. yes, you heard me right. keep in mind this is a small cafe, hence the name, so it's not really a spot where a lot of people can go at once to camp out and spend a bunch of time on their laptops etc, which is fine because there are plenty of other places for that. they have a small bar with a row of a few stools that is fun to sit at and puts you right next to the baristas as they move about keeping everything going. there's a "main table with a side table facing the window and street that has nice natural light on sunny days and would be a good nook to occupy for a spell. i got a can of kombucha, energy bar, and ice americano for $9, a price substantially less than i expected. i see why this place is an institution. i will be back, and encourage checking it out if nothing else for the experience. you may want to come back too!!

I can't be more thankful that they have dedicated customer parking only spots right out front because I would have skipped altogether if I couldn't find parking. Staff was friendly and despite the constant stream of new customers they were so fast and efficient in getting everything out quickly. Coffee was good, the chocolate chip cookie by Marc Heu was a bit disappointing though (that's not a Dogwood issue though) it just a want chocolate chip cookie-ing. Reasonable prices, friendly staff and dedicated parking is a win in my book. Also love that they partner with Sweet Renaissance for special drinks for the month.
