I have a similar story of BlackWood camera rental providing stellar customer service AND amazing prices. I was traveling from Utah to Las Vegas to film a company event when I realized I needed for Cfas cards. I texted them after hours and they said they could get a shipment in time for my shoot. They could have gouged me with pricing but they actually gave me a discount! What? Who does that? I also needed to rent a shotgun mic holder for my Ronin 2 and a lav set. The problem is when arrived it was rush hour in Vegas and google said I was going to arrive after closing hours. They graciously agreed to stay so I could pick up the rentals. The next day my Cfas cards were supposed to arrive by noon but Fedex hadn't arrived yet. Again, Blackwood team graciously sent Jules to deliver the card to the shoot. James, Rob, Jules and the rest of the team are AMAZING. Why do I know their names? Because they were texting with me and troubleshooting for me. These people know what customer service is all about! The team at Blackwood Camera Rental are nothing short of stellar. They are legitimate life savers who are there to pick up the slack when other rental houses drop the ball. I was in a bit of a bind going into a Sunday shoot, missing some key components from my rental rig from another company. Not only were Rob and Meredith responsive and amazingly helpful (on a Saturday no less!) but they were able to hook me up with a pretty amazing discount, and get me the pieces I needed within a couple of hours. Incredible service and amazing staff! I needed a last minute Mōvi Pro Rental in Las Vegas and Rob and Meredith were both amazing in getting me set up and out the door quickly. They had a work room to setup the Mōvi and Rob even assisted me over the phone with some questions. By appointment so you don't need to worry about rental shop hours closing way before your shoot ends. Also convenient drop off whether you're on the strip or in Old Vegas. Definitely will be renting from Rob and Blackwood Camera again in the future.
